I never said that Cloots is great because of his record. But ur blind if u think an average goalie can win 30 games 3 years in a row. Only him and Broduer have done this, no other goalie on elite teams have. The Cancucks havn't been the second best team in teh past three years. Average? Well, he's certainly not elite (keep in mind that only forty-some goalies make the official stats each season): - In 2001-02 and 2002-03, Cloutier was LAST in save percentage among all goalies with 30+ wins, and in the bottom quarter of that group in GAA (16 goalies in 01/02, 11 in 02/03). - He was 19th overall in GAA and 33rd in save % in 2001-02; 16th and 24th in 2002-03. - Not coincidentally, the Canucks led the league in goals for in 2001-02, and were second in the league in 2002-03. - Cloutier was 6th in save % among the 9 goalies this past season who had 30+ wins, and tied for 7th in GAA. Only two of those 9 teams scored more goals than Vancouver. (He was 17th in GAA and 18th in save % overall.) What does all this add up to? Awesome offense, good defense, woefully average goaltender.

Sens have resigned The Big Z, according to the team's website.

Bump -- now paid. -
I'm now confirmed for the first week of the World Poker Finals at the end of October. I'll be playing in the Multi-Play NLHE tournament on Monday (and hopefully Tuesday), and the Omaha/8 tournament on Wednesday. I have a très cher room at Great Cedars in the casino proper, and a cheapo room at Red Roof Inn in New London (about 20 minutes away). One of them will be cancelled, likely depending on how I do in the NLHE Championship at the Akwesasne Casino in upstate NY.

The knee thing. He went on about how much BS that is. -=Mike It's not bs. Did you even see the fight? You can tell where Mike Tyson got his injury. You can clearly see it on TV. If you can't you must be stupid, blind or both. You must be blind, stupid, or worse, an average american. You guys really should learn how to take defeat properly I bet you wouldn't be saying that if Tyson had thrown in the towel after Round 1 (which he should've done). If he didn't absolutely have to have this win, there's no way he goes out for the second round.

I remember shortly after the strike happened, one of the sports news shows ran a simulation of the playoffs in place of the actual playoffs, and it had the Expos beating the Yankees in 7. *sigh*

A pyramid scheme is a money-making venture where there is one (or a very select few) people at the top making tons of money, and a ton of people at the bottom making nothing. Hence, the name. That's exactly what this is. What's more, you will never see your name make your way to the top of this list. That's why pyramid schemes work so well -- for the guy at the top of the pyramid.

Alonzo remains my pick, as he has since the very first round. I think he'll win it, too, because he's got that "I KNOW I'm the best one here" air about him. Not smug, just confident. Plus, he had another GOLD set last night, when he didn't even have to. I think the voting shaped up like this: Alonzo John Gary Jay Kathleen Tammy
-
You know who it is, don't you? Yep, and he's tons better than Cloutier. And his team still did to him exactly what Vancouver should've (but didn't) do to Cloutier: Run him out of town.

Wow, I didn't think you'd be speaking so highly of Mystery Goaltender.

Pat Borders and Paul Molitor were Series MVPs in the years when Olerud was on a WS winner. I've been a fan of Olerud's for many, many years. But he's not a Hall of Famer.

That's the problem with popularity contests. You can be better than someone else and still lose out on the big day.

Well, either Gary's in, or I'm heading to Burbank with a semi-automatic and a dream.

Ralph Fiennes cast in Harry Potter 4

And while we're at it, get them to edit every major newspaper and news website that mentions this as well. Perfect. -
He was good for a while, then he degenerated with the "Sentimental Favourites" crap, which really clouds his opinions. But, I need something to tide me over until the TWoP recap comes out. The two guys doing LCS aren't bad, but their opinions of the comics really clash with mine. The site owner and Sting7 are also good recappers. All the other regular contributors are horrid. What bugged me about last week's recap was how they said Colin was the best racer, while Christie was the worst racer because she couldn't do the caviar very well. First of all, I wouldn't have been able to eat caviar very well with Creepy Intense Colin hovering over me either. Second, she might want to check out exactly what's in the caviar before passing judgment. But, there I go, hijacking the LCS thread...

No kidding. Try to be a little better at it next time. I say A.

Got that right. For reasons that I can't fathom, the two guys at RNO loved Tammy's set. which gives me the fear that she might possibly make the finals. There's no one at RNO with any credibility anyway. Check out the guy they got to write The Amazing Race recap for this week. Hell, check out the one from last week too. I could've written a better review than those guys...when I was in the SIXTH GRADE.
-
Oh yes. Tammy will finish last, or there will be violence.
-
Any predictions on how the vote will go? I'm going to mix it up a bit and say Alonzo, Jay...and Gary.
-
To be honest, that doesn't bother me. The beauty of the show is the format, not the contestants. I managed to sit through last season, which had only one team that I actively liked, without a problem, because the show is just so awesome to watch on its own. I just don't care one way or another.

There's a lot of HTML editors around for free as well. The most important thing is to make sure you have enough server space and bandwidth to handle your anticipated traffic. This won't be a problem at first, but it will as the site's popularity increases.

Savage/Warrior II was excellent, and Michaels/Martel was also very good. Throw in the Mankind/HHH cage match, the ladder match revisited, and the Megapowers/Megabucks match (for nostalgia), and that's a damn good set of matches, IMO.
-
Perfect. Absolutely dead on. If you don't have a TEAM instead of a collection of players, you have no shot.

Talk to any Boston fan. Or (to a lesser degree) any Toronto fan.
