That brings up an interesting question, though -- what would you do if your favourite team hired or signed someone you actively despised? It happened to me with the Maple Leafs -- I had just moved to Ottawa, and had taken an interest in the Senators anyway because they were starting to put together an entertaining club. Then the Leafs hired Pat Quinn, my least favourite sports figure ever, and he predictably turned the team into a goon squad. I renounced the Leafs, and I've been a Sens fan ever since.

Not a lot. I think 90210 is the only new show I'm watching. Other than that, it's the same as last year (How I Met Your Mother, Big Bang Theory, Amazing Race, Dirty Sexy Money, Biggest Loser, House, and Chuck when I think of it).

This thread comes up in some form or another at least once a year.

That was always my thinking. And that's how I ended up cheering for the Broncos and Vikings as a kid.

Excellent, five games different (by my count). I always prefer not needing the tiebreaker in any given week. I see now that the Baylor/Wazzu game has been moved to Friday.

Yeah, that's going to kill me in later rounds, I think. I thought we were going to be drafting about five more guys as reserves, so I was going to draft another CB, stick Hanks at FS, and bring Robinson in in nickel packages. That would be killer. EHME - Too good on offence, especially in the backfield. VX - This was one of my top 3 teams overall. His defence will be sending guys out on stretchers all game. 909 - I couldn't find anything to choose from here, so I flipped a coin. Kahran Ramsus - Another one of my top 3. This team would do everything well. May be the most well-balanced team in the entire contest. Bored - I also didn't really like either offence. They both have outstanding defences, but LT and Carson together would give me nightmares. Tzar - This team intrigues the hell out of me. Fantastic defence, fantastic special teams, and I can't be the only one who'd want to see Vick and Bo in the same backfield. Gert T - I think Fokai did the best job in the back half of the draft. That said, I love Gert's offence, and I think he wins a high-scoring affair here.

In the last election, Green's policy was to simply defer to Dion and NDP was the only real left-wing protest vote that actually would hurt Dion. I have no idea if that's still the same. Dion wasn't the leader last election, Martin was. I don't have a problem with the Liberal policies; I have a problem with Dion becoming the leader of our country. Only for a month or two. We haven't posted an annual deficit since the mid-90s. Frankly, I don't support a tax-and spend mindset because I think my taxes are quite high enough.

Speculation I've heard on this:
-
1. I'm more inclined to say Chicago, despite them being on the road. I think the Bears defence will give Delhomme a lot more problems than the Chargers did. 2. Poorly. The Atlanta team that everyone thought we would see, the one that was picked to finish last in the NFC, is going to show up this week. 3. Anything's possible -- they still have a lot of big names -- but I think Brady going down is going to be the catalyst for poisoning the locker room, starting with Randy Moss. 4. Those guys are beyond hope. 5. Not a chance. Pittsburgh is the class of the division, and possibly the entire AFC now. Cleveland is going to come crashing back down this season.

I was looking forward to Chargers/Broncos being the featured late game for CBS, until I saw that Pats/Jets was a late start as well. That game could be the most overanalyzed, overhyped game ever, and that's saying something.

Oh, the hazards of the swing pass.
-
Judging from this first drive, I'll be surprised if Russell completes ten passes tonight.
-
Suh-WEET. Let's see some more of that.
-
I'm annoyed I won't get to see the entire game. I wish I was still on the west coast.
-
I'm not, I took the Vikings. I thought Childress actually had half a brain in his head.

How obvious was it that the Packers didn't really care they were giving the ball back to Tarvaris?

There is absolutely zero chance of the NDP winning a minority. They have no base in Quebec, and voters in Ontario still haven't forgotten the Rae government of the mid-90s. And you can't form the government without Ontario or Quebec. Myself, I'm probably voting Green. My wife and I are both federal public servants, and we both see firsthand how power-hungry and hypercontrolling Stephen Harper is. I think Stephane Dion is a goof who's going to be replaced following this election, and seeing him as PM makes me ill. And I wouldn't vote for the tax-and spend NDP if my life depended on it.

Weekends in general are bad. Aside from that, it really doesn't matter to me.

Hi, welcome to 21st-century media.

I'm in if the draft isn't on the 27th. My mom's 60th birthday party is that day.
