Sens send Lawrence Nycholat to Vancouver for Ryan Shannon. Nycholat was a spare part, so this has to be an upgrade of sorts. I hope.

It should be all lowercase. Try cutting and pasting the password directly from this thread.

I'm allowed just to pick the Thursday night game now and pick the rest later, right? I hope so, because I'm in a business centre in Vancouver and don't have any chance of doing my full picks until Friday: NY Giants -3.5

LOL, I would've been happy with one point, since I was mostly picking for myself. Thanks for the votes. 80s classics FTW.

So Vista is now taking it upon itself to mute and un-mute my sound, seemingly at random. Anyone had this problem and/or have some suggestion on how to fix it?
-
I figured it out, it was my Logitech mouse that was somehow triggering it. I removed it and plugged in another mouse, and the problem hasn't returned.

Finishing 9-0 at home is pretty damn impressive. And Hakeem contained Chamberlain more or less while Payton abused Frazier defensively. The old saying is true, defense wins. Even online. I have no idea how that happened. Frazier was a terrific defender himself, I don't know how Payton got loose on him.

Anyone mind if I make my last pick? I'm the only one who needs a defensive tackle, and I'm not going to have much internet access for a couple of weeks after today.

Russia won the women's 4x100 after the Jamaicans were DQed on the second handoff. Not a good week for elite relay teams.

When I saw the score on ESPN's bottom line I thought it was a mistake. Team USA has been choking hard everywhere (except on the beach and the hardwood) since Phelps finished swimming. Well, you're sure not gonna like what happened on the track today. I heard about that, but I didn't expect us to beat Jamaica in either relay so I wasn't completely caught off guard. If we couldn't challenge them individually, I didn't see how we were going to beat them as teams. The softball squad had already beaten Japan twice in the Olympics and had given up a handful of runs in the last two entire Olympic tourneys. Getting beat 10-8 I could have seen, but 3-1 with a pitcher who had thrown over 300 (I think that was the # I heard) pitches the day before is crazy. Well, sure, but you still expect them both to medal, or at least make the final.

No kidding...a Jordan team losing straight three nailbiters and getting swept? Like that would happen in real life.

Are you serious? And I was just about to say about how interested I was in how the upcoming Wilt-Kareem matchup would pan out. None of those games were even close! Oh well, Wilt vs. Hakeem should be intriguing.

This was the one where HBK forfeited the IC title to Douglas. It was a complete pile of shit.

Probably not (I don't think it's far off, though), but a sport needs to have an international governing body to be considered for the Olympics. And yes, table tennis does have one.
-
I gotta be honest here...I'm actually surprised bowling ISN'T an Olympic sport. I mean, ping pong, badminton and beach volleyball are... Bowling doesn't have any kind of organization outside of North America.

You can cross me off the list of contenders for that last playoff spot. Kinsler being out for the season was the last straw.

The look on Horry's face after he makes that shot is just classic. Like, "Yeah, I made it, what, you thought that wasn't going down?"
-
Not quite. Only the top 5 off the world rankings are selected, along with the top 5 not already qualified off the Euro Tour Order of Merit. As of this moment, the European Ryder Cup team looks like this: Padraig Harrington Lee Westwood Sergio Garcia Henrik Stenson Robert Karlsson Miguel Angel Jimenez Graeme McDowell Justin Rose Oliver Wilson Soren Hansen

Last pick: Super Sprint (Arcade)

A sentimental pick for fullback -- certainly not the best available -- but when he was in his prime, this guy was an absolute beast: Craig "Ironhead" Heyward, FB

I'll take my coach now: Marv Levy Career Record 143-112 1988 Sporting News NFL COY 1993 UPI NFL COY 1988 UPI NFL COY NFL 1990s All-Decade Team Buffalo Bills Wall of Fame 4x AFC Champion (1990-1993) 2x Grey Cup champion I wanted an offensive mastermind with the way my offence developed, and Levy fit the bill like almost no other.

Yeah, the west coast just got bent over hardcore by NBC.
