There's only one tee box for PGA tournaments.

What are you talking about? Wie has a rather below average short game. The fact that she can drive the ball 300 yards at age 14 is what makes her a story.

ABOBO SMASH!!

Second night in a row I turn off a hockey game in disgust, and for the second night in a row, I miss the best part. Senators scored 4 unanswered, 3 in the third period, to tie the Islanders 4-4.

So is this the "Worst Sports Moment" thread for 2004? I'll just point back to my answers from the TWO "Worst Sports Moment" threads from 2003, here and here.

Shouldn't the ref DQ Cena for the closed fists?
-
And the sad part is, we were saying how much better this thread was than the Next Saturday thread. What the hell were we thinking?

Hard when they haven't had sex yet. Maybe the ex-boyfriend is re-entering the picture...

It was Razor Ruddock. I didn't see the footage, but it might have been the Michael Dokes fight, which was rather brutal.

Oh, my mistake...I must have hallucinated this then:

I smell a bait and switch.

Tie Domi vs. Bob Probert. After winning the fight, Domi made the "I want the belt" hand gesture. CLASSIC.

The funny thing about this was that the cops never would've found it, except one was just driving by, happened to glance at the brewery and SAW THE PLANTS IN THE WINDOW. Certainly an early entrant for the "2004 dumbest criminals" list.

I see no rhyme or reason to these rankings.
-
Geez, you're kidding. I turned it off at 0-0 to watch West Wing and Law & Order.

Interesting fact...Olaf Kolzig has given up more goals than any other G in the NHL this season. And watching the Caps, I can see why...their defense is FUCKING HORRIBLE.
-
I would certainly hope so. If a guy's going to strike out enough to put himself on this list, he HAS to be able to do something at the plate, or he never would've lasted long enough to get close to the all-time list in the first place. It's like Nolan Ryan being the all-time walk leader.

Oh, of course they'll make the playoffs. The East isn't that deep. But Jersey is almost certainly going to pass them for the lead in the Atlantic, which means they're going to play Toronto, Ottawa, or maybe Boston in round 1, and they can't beat any of them. This is looking prophetic...
-
I put him in about the same category as Dafoe. In any event, I don't think Philly has near enough to beat Ottawa or New Jersey, and probably not even Toronto, in the playoffs, regardless of who they get in goal.
-
No more than any other team. There isn't a team in the playoffs (Indy included) that hasn't had to sweat out at least two or three games they shouldn't have this season. Yes, it's incredibly hard to win 15 games in a row...if you're starting from zero. If you've already won 13 in a row, it's not that hard at all to win 15 in a row.

I think Kolzig is the one player Washington wouldn't be willing to give up, especially for another overpriced veteran. The goalies are going to be the only players teams will want to hang onto going into the lockout. The only other goalie who might even remotely fit the bill would be Byron Dafoe, but I don't think he'd be much of an upgrade either.

Kill Bill soundtrack. I don't think I've heard a wider variation of music on one album in my life.

So far, so good. It looks like I'm on track to get a promotion in May, which would bump me up to "more money than I know what to do with," without much added responsibility. And I've lost nearly 15 pounds since the start of the year. Life's pretty good.

C'mon, man, be serious. The crowd would have to actually care one way or the other about the guy to do that.

The Dames' Diatribe on WWE Raw - 1/12/04
CanadianChris replied to The Dames's topic in The WWE Folder
If Orton had carried RVD, RVD would've looked good and the match would've been a good one. As it was, RVD didn't look good (not Orton's fault, though, really), and the match was overlong and dominated by what seemed like ten minutes of nonstop restholds.
