Don't be hating on raisins. Raisins MAKE butter tarts. Although the filling has to be just the right consistency, too...syrupy without being runny and spilling everywhere.

Stuff You'd Like For This Year's Rumble
CanadianChris replied to ChrisMWaters's topic in The WWE Folder
Hey, Chris, what happened to Molly in pyjama pants? -
I took Navy? What the hell was I on that day?
-
Um...because it sucked? Not really a great mystery.
-
That's not all it was hurt by.

Dames BRINGS THE BAN~! Good riddance to bad rubbish. Glad I wasn't the first to stumble on this thread.

This finally just in: Spurrier resigned.

This even more just in... Spurrier is denying reports that he has resigned, according to the Washington Post.

How did Orton and Batista join evolution again?
CanadianChris replied to DangerousDamon's topic in The WWE Folder
The first time they formed the group, HHH, Orton, and Batista jumped Scott Steiner durning a Batista/Steiner match (after Royal Rumble, but before No Way Out). Then Orton and Batista injured themselves and they forgot about it. The second time, Orton ran in under a hood to a HHH vs. Flair/Michaels handicap match (where Flair turned on Michaels) to reform 3/4 of the group, then Batista came back to collect the bounty on Goldberg during that angle to completely reform the group. -
What do you THINK will be the Wrestlemania XX card
CanadianChris replied to a topic in The WWE Folder
Hell, I barely expect them to show up on SmackDown. -
Finally found Royal Rumble 92 and watched it last night. Better than I remembered. It had a great HBK moment they DIDN'T show on last night's RAW, where Shawn said he saved Janetty from 29 other beatings (by throwing him through the Barber Shop window). Not as bad as the one HE gave him, mind you, but 29 other beatings nonetheless.

I don't think the reation WWE was going for with Orton was, "Get that guy off my TV screen NOW." No, but they got a reaction where people cannot stop talking about him and continue to watch anyway where they then head into a message board and talk about the guy some more. I think it's evolved into a huge rib by the majority, to bait the few Orton fans that are here. Personally, I only talk about Orton when he is either: a) on my TV at the moment (or was just on); b) mentioned in a news story (e.g. the "Orton wins the Rumble" thread); c) defended in threads such as this one. The less I have the chance to talk about Orton, the happier I am.

Scott Keith gave HHH/HBK ****3/4
CanadianChris replied to TheOriginalOrangeGoblin's topic in The WWE Folder
That's true of anything, and yet star ratings are the most widely used form of rating things (movies, TV, books, albums, etc.). It's just meant to give the reader a guide. Anyone who takes star ratings too seriously needs to give their head a shake. -
Of course not. I myself consulted with Giant Gonzalez and Bastion Booger before my last date. Can't figure out why I didn't get another one...

Scott Keith gave HHH/HBK ****3/4
CanadianChris replied to TheOriginalOrangeGoblin's topic in The WWE Folder
They said that about Hogan/Warrior, Savage/Warrior, and the HHH/Rock iron man match, too. Look how they turned out. The very BEST matches will always be the ones that tell a story in the ring, not just ones with "who can pull out the largest number of moves". -
The unintelligible lyrics of the Evolution theme. The first line sounds like, "EVOLUTION IS YOUR LISTERINE!" or something like that.

*sigh* "You need to enjoy the product more, Scott...no, don't enjoy THAT, that sucked." -

I thought The Rock was pretty good, but for the most part, yeah, you're right. Hard to believe that stretch where he did The Untouchables, Indiana Jones And The Last Crusade, and The Hunt For Red October in succession was so long ago.

Almanacs, the books of terroristic doom!
CanadianChris replied to Rob E Dangerously's topic in Current Events
Good thing I turned in that old couple leafing through the almanacs in SmithBooks the other day. The police smacked them around a bit...it was a fun day. -
PokerStars, Paradise Poker and PartyPoker are the sites I frequent the most.
