Continuing from JAxl's quote (gotta link off the last one!)... Gorilla and Jesse at WM V, just after the bell sounds for the main event: Jesse: "And listen to the Pukesters!" Gorilla: "What right do YOU have to call them that name?" Jesse: "Because they are!" That match was one of Jesse's greatest match calls ever.

Well, it's a pro-wrestling show next week. I wasn't expecting that.

Yeah, there's a world of difference between abuse and just mistreatment. Women don't leave abusers for friends; they leave friends for abusers. Found that one out the hard way...and I wasn't even interested in her romantically.

OH MY GOD this has to happen. Peca would be an amazing third line centre...maybe more if being around such a great offense gets him going. 4-0 Senators late...Prusek looks headed for his first NHL shutout.

I knew this was coming, but still...wow.

no. Cincy/Baltimore will pretty much name the AFC north champion in all likihood. Cincy is the hottest team in Football along with New England and Philly... oh and Arizona beating S.F isnt an upset special...It's pretty likely 'Zona will win. Arizona? Win on the road? I have a better chance of being named Mr. Universe than of that happening.

You can only uninstall XP if you checked the option when you were installing XP to make uninstall files. If not, the install is irreversible. If you did, though, a scroll through the help menu should get you on your way. I'm surprised you're so unimpressed with XP, though. I found that Illegal Operations and BSODs that forced me to shut down went from nearly one a day with 98 to nearly nil with XP.

ESPN is reporting that the Yankees agreed to a 2-year, $6.8 million deal with reliever Paul Quantrill. That sucks. I was still holding out hope that the Jays would make an offer.

Yes, and it makes sense. The better team has the chance to rest and heal up, as well as thoroughly scout and prepare for their opponent. A two-week gap heavily favours the favourite; a one-week gap makes it more likely that an upset will occur. New England won because St. Louis wasn't ready for their defense and Warner's thumb was injured; given another week, that may not have been the case.

So me seeing Big Show, Jones, Morgan and A-Train around the champ all the time was just an hallucination? Righto. I'll agree they need something new for Angle, though.

Subject to change...at least the Monday night game is a gimme. Holy shit, is this a tough week. Denver - 26 Green Bay Baltimore (LOCK) Philadelphia Jacksonville Indianapolis Pittsburgh Detroit Minnesota New Orleans Washington San Francisco Denver New England N.Y. Jets Atlanta St. Louis

I have no idea why, but I really like P.M. Dawn's cover of "Norwegian Wood." *ducks*

Actually, they're playing really shitty. They lost to PITTSBURGH, for fuck's sake.

ESPN's effort to introduce effects from The Matrix to their college basketball programming was met with mixed results.

He does nothing of the sort. History has shown us that when Steinbrenner has a competent GM and steps back and lets him mostly run things, the Yankees win. When Steinbrenner says "Fuck the GM" and tries to run the team himself, the Yankees lose.

Quick Change comes immediately to mind.

I've been a Messier fan since I first started watching hockey, back when he was breaking in with the Oilers in the early 80s. I certainly don't want him to leave because of such a stupid thing as that.

I have a pet theory...they're not playing with the desperation they had last year, when the team went bankrupt and they were playing, basically, to keep the team in Ottawa. No coincidence, then, that they slacked off in the conference final last year when Melnyk was announced as owner. Hopefully the Philly win was a sign of greater things to come. It's so funny, though, that whenever the Sens win a game, the Ottawa dailies proclaim the slump over...then they lose another two or three. Oh, and Messier was reported as only having a charley horse. *whew*

 Rawmvp needs to see this.

There's a salary cap in baseball?

I'll go for Eddy vs. Deano from Hostile City Showdown '94.

It's fucking scary that this is so commonplace in the business now that this disease is nicknamed what it is.

Bad news. The "later" bridge is closer than you think. Realistically, no team, even the Yankees, can build a dynasty on free agents. At some point, the Yankees are going to have to rebuild their farm system, possibly at the expense of some wins now. Otherwise, they're going to set themselves up for alot of losses later. I'm not willing to accept that until this well dries up. I detest "rebuilding years" The well is already dry. This team is going to be worse defensively and on the mound than any Yankee team in a decade. Not only will the Yankees not win the World Series this year, there's a decent chance that they may not even make the playoffs. No team is immune to rebuilding -- not even the Yankees. Spending $200 mil isn't going to change that if they can't spend it on players that will allow them to win.

Either way, it sounds dumb. I shall stick to my M*A*S*H Season 1-3 DVD sets.
