That reminds me of that whole non-controversy that Mike Lupica decided to stir up. Look, it's not OU's fault that their team is so much better than everyone else that no one can give them a competitive game. All Stoops can do is send in the second- and third-stringers when the outcome is no longer in doubt. If they keep piling on the points, well, maybe you might want to look at the other team and wonder what's wrong with THEM. I mean, the guys who sit on the bench aren't going to try less hard when they get in, and no one should ever expect them to, especially when they're at home playing a rival, and especially because they're excited just to be playing. How does anyone expect the coach to tell these guys not to try to score or anything when they get into the game? Bench-warmers have pride too, you know.

The sixth playoff team plays the 3rd-ranked division winner. Which sure as hell isn't going to be the Bengals, given that they're three games behind right now. Cincinnati will get either Tennessee or Indianapolis.

One and Only Bitch about Black Friday!

I hate it when people do that. Or when they try to leave with our shopping carts. Stupid shoppers. Is there any other kind? Especially on that day. -
good Nathan Jones match

I thought we busted Trip for it because he can't back it up in the ring anymore. No one said a bad word about him before the quad injury.

Actually, the Sens had an outdoor "practice" on the Canal last year. It was pretty awesome. And the Canal's not even close to being frozen yet. Usually doesn't open until January or so.
-
There's been talk of doing an outdoor game here in Ottawa next year to coincide with the Grey Cup. Of course, if the weather was anything like it is right now, they'd have trouble keeping the ice frozen.

At this point, I'd bet a year's salary on the right hook.

I blame society. More specifically, I blame the dumb people in society.

Good God. Pick a room and do your business, it's not rocket science. Maybe I spoke too soon.

Black Friday baffles me. Why you would need one specific day out of the entire year to do your Christmas shopping, I'll never know. -
1. I don't think it was ever OK per se, but not everyone who gets on the radio unsuspecting files a complaint with the FCC. 2. I did some research. It's not hard to find on the Web, as long as you know how to use Google most effectively.

On this, I would disagree (I think Lefty Grove is the greatest ever). But Spahn certainly belongs at the end of the discussion.

For some reason? Francona managed him for four years in Philadelphia, and Schilling really likes him.

No way does USC stay at #2 if they lose to Oregon State. I would probably say Michigan, because they're ranked better in the computers and left a more recent good impression on the poll voters. Plus they have that nice quality win bonus from beating Ohio State.

It falls under section 73.1206 of FCC regulations (Broadcast of Telephone Conversations), which was most recently amended in 1988.

Um...I missed the connection there. Oh well. From RAW in July 1998: HHH (as the Crock, to X-Pac as "Mizark" Henry): "You know something, Mark Henry...MIZARK Henry...we know you're the world's strongest man, and the Crock's got a hell of a body himself, but what I want to know is, how do you get your pecs to go all the way around to your back like that?"

They should rip the roof off the Big Owe and use that. Then take the wrecking ball to it.

This is where the problem is. If LSU beats Georgia, it does NOT count in the rankings, as you can only count one win against a particular opponent. LSU needs to beat either Tennessee or Florida in the title game to improve their SoS enough to bypass USC. You've got it wrong... you still get credit for the Strength of Schedule for facing a team twice, but you CAN'T get a second Quality Win bonus for beating a team twice. I stand corrected (misread something in an article)...although I don't see how that could possibly work. However, Georgia would certainly drop to 10th, if not 11th, in the BCS standings if LSU beats them. I don't see how they couldn't -- they would drop to 9th or 10th in the polls, have another loss tacked onto their total, and would drop in the computers as well.

Whoops, double post. But why are we discussing legalities? Let's laugh our asses off! -

The act is what counts, not the event or the surroundings. And the victim cannot consent to the act of getting shot. Add to that that the idiot with the gun intentionally shot it (where a reasonable person would be able to predict that it could cause bodily harm) and that it did cause serious bodily harm, and you've got yourself an assault. For the ladder example, it doesn't meet the definition because the act of leaving a ladder out doesn't consititute intentionally using force against a person. You could sue for negligence, but it doesn't warrant criminal charges.
