Watch? Hell, I'm going to be playing in the thing two or three years from now.
-
These were the 8 that came to my mind most readily. I used to think Benoit/Angle was a slam dunk, until seeing NWA TNA on September 3rd. Now, I'd still vote for it, but it's a lot closer. Could an "indy" match actually be Match of the Year? That's NEVER happened!

Well, if I'm suddenly banned on Tuesday, you'll know why... Denver - 16 Carolina New England Tampa Bay Denver Detroit Minnesota Seattle St. Louis Tennessee San Francisco Indianapolis Philadelphia Kansas City Miami

I must say, I laughed my ass off watching that. Especially at the announcers' call: "It's Leon Lett! NOOOOO!!"
-
I want to meet these people, so I can point at them and laugh.

but she was fucking annoying as fuck And even if she was, Rebecca was much worse than her Agreed. I'd put Rebecca on the list before Diane...of course, I'd put Cliff on the list before either of them.

How about J.R. and King vs Al Snow and Coach? At least that wasn't the main event. -

I can't believe you people are begging to watch such a craptacular event. -
I work for the Government of Canada as a health research analyst. I get paid an obscene amount of money for what I do, and my retirement is pretty much already funded.

Well, she was asking for it, too...

Family values? What are those? -
Last year's were the worst ever, though. That's not saying anything.
-
And, of course, they're NOT great teams, since truly great teams don't feel compelled to tell everyone how great they are all the time. And how is it that people were calling the Tampa defence the best ever after week 2?
-
Why is that? Toronto was in the West for a few more years after that and both teams were still contending until Roy left, IIRC. So now tell me that I recalled wrong and clarify Well, the Canadiens never made it out of the first round again while Toronto was still in the West. Theoretically, they could have still met for another 2 or 3 years, but realistically, that was it.

I've given up thinking I have a clue who's going to win in a given week. I'm still going to be watching the early games next week in the Mandalay Bay sports book in Las Vegas, but I'll be damned if I'm going to do any betting.

Be VERY thankful. The 85 playoffs were bad enough (ironically enough, this was the first year the LCS was best-of-7, meaning the Jays would've won the series had it been the year before), but watching Fernandez and Whitt go down in September and coughing up a 4-game lead in the final week was gut-wrenching. Of course, it was all worth it in the end. Other painful memories: - Atlanta over Minnesota in 1999, mentioned already. - Jacksonville over Denver in 1997. Stunning. - The 49ers humiliating Denver in the Super Bowl in 1990. - Wide right. - Keith Smart hitting the jumper from the corner to beat Syracuse in 1987. - Wayne Gretzky scoring to beat the Leafs in OT in Game 6, when he should've been in the box serving a high-sticking major after busting Doug Gilmour wide open just minutes earlier. This ruined what would have been the last-ever Leafs-Canadiens Stanley Cup final. - Losing the shootout to the Czechs in 1998. - The strike in 1994 costing the Expos their best chance at a World Series. And, of course, Game 7 against the Devils last season. And Game 7 against the Leafs the year before that.

Why does this game get so much love nowadays? It was a HORRIBLE game with an exciting finish. Everyone turned it off in the second quarter, then came back when they found out the Titans were coming back late.

Because when you think hockey, you think cattle.
-
They've been above mediocre only since last year. Their division, though, blew goats.
-
I win, even having a pretty shitty week.
-
My God, this was a fantastic movie. Revolutions and/or Return of the King are going to have to really blow me away to top this movie. Kill Bill kicked 67 different kinds of ass. BTW, I'm trying to decide if Kill Bill or Braveheart is the most violent movie I've ever seen.

when people go to a Blue Jay's game they pay Canadian dollars to see the team while the team pays the players in American currency. Seeing as how the Canadian dollar is worth about 1 sheet of two-ply toilet paper I wouldn't be surprised if the Blue Jays were losing money trying to stay competetive Actually, the dollar has gotten much better over the past year. Do some research.

I was going to start The One And Only No One Cares About This World Series Thread, but I see someone beat me to it. Oh well.

Hey, thanks, man. *gives Zack a knowing wink*
