Why exactly does Walker come out for defensive purposes again?
-
Modem troubles SUCK. Jeter strikes out...one more for extras.
-
YES!!!!!!!! Finally, a break. Still tied.
-
Ask me in ten minutes.
-
This is unimaginable.

then why didn't Nomah or Damon do it either? Guess Mia didn't approve. Actually, that's it. Nomar was exempt because he's getting married in a month or so. 2 innings to go...

Because he realizes his season, his career is over, and he has no one to blame but himself. If he decides he wants to come back, I hope the Yanks tell him to fuck off. yeah...he's only one of the greatest pitchers of all time, tell him to fuck off is a great thing. Being great doesn't mean he should be brought back. He ditched out on both Boston and Toronto when he didn't want to be there anymore, why should the Yanks have any loyalty to him? Boston ran Clemens out...He WANTED to stay and he got traded to the Yankees...he never LEFT or ditched them. He did too. He signed as a free agent with Toronto after saying he wanted to go to either a contender or a Texas team (neither of which described Toronto even remotely at that point in time), then left after deciding he was too good for Toronto, forcing a trade due to an illegal clause in his contract that Gord "I'm A Moron" Ash slipped in. He's a mercenary, and should be treated as such. (Late coming in -- modem problems -- but it needed to be said.)

I'm in.

Damn. It's always sad when we lose one of the good guys. RIP, Stu. You'll be truly missed.

Did you know, for anything we consume and anything we do, there is a study that will link it to an increased likelihood of death or disease, and another study that will link it to a lower likelihood of death or disease?

Fried (NOT over easy), scrambled, or in an omelette.

That's what having a double World Series winner will do for you. It doesn't get much more pressure packed than saving the final game of the World Series with the tying run on third.

I DESPERATELY need Boston to win. I'm going to be in Las Vegas next week, and I want to watch one of the games in the Mandalay Bay sports book. I'm sure as hell not going to bother if it's Yankees/Marlins.
-
I hate when Denver and Minnesota play. I never know who to cheer for. Denver - 17 Baltimore Dallas Minnesota St. Louis (LOCK) Miami New Orleans N.Y. Giants Cleveland Tennessee Houston Seattle Tampa Bay Washington Kansas City
-
Unless they've suddenly changed owners, there'll be no changing my mind.
-
Let's see...I was there for: - 2003 blackout - 1998 ice storm - Magic Johnson's only game in Toronto - Maple Leafs clinching a semifinal berth in 1993 (6-0 over St. Louis) - Rob Van Dam's first World title shot in the WWF - 1997 Churchill Bowl (Waterloo vs. Ottawa - one of the greatest Canadian university football games ever) - Blue Jays victory mobs in 1992 and 1993 Eh...not a great list, but not bad.
-
10/10, but then, I have a bachelor's degree in math as well.
-
I hope Boston WINS tomorrow, and Steinbrenner goes nuts and fires everyone who got him to where he is, triggering a death spiral that takes the team years and years to dig out of. Hey, a guy can dream.
-
Yep. You want to talk about rape? Jeffrey Loria raped the Montreal Expos franchise and left it for dead. Yeah, he'd be a great guy to win a title. I will cheer for the Yankees before I cheer for this asshole.
-
The 1994 strike did that just fine. There was no "innocence" left by 1997 to destroy.
-
the play he screwed up that broke the hearts of the cubs and the life of Steve Bartman Yep. It's ALL his fault. Every little bit of it. Jesus Christ.
-
Pray for the Red Sox tomorrow. And pray for Bartman in perpetuity...he'll need it. He may need to leave town.
