Which part is Gonzo's fault...the part where Dustry left Kerry in too long, or the part where the bullpen fucked it up even further?

    Flair DVD Matches Announced

House show in Hershey, PA, 3 days after Summerslam 92. Storyline was that Savage's knee was still shot to hell from his match with Warrior at SS, and Flair just worked on it mercilessly.

    Flair DVD Matches Announced

Yeah, that's true, but you know what? There's not one single match on this DVD that I'd remove to make room for any of the ones you mentioned. You have to make some hard choices somewhere along the line, and cut some matches that a lot of people would want to see. I think they did a great job with this one.

What WWE Pay Per Views have you Skipped?

The only ones I've ordered this year have been Royal Rumble, No Way Out and WrestleMania. I've missed every one since WM.

    Top Survivor Series Matches

This card could be entertaining if they have an alternate Mick Foley/Kevin Kelly audio track ripping on how much the actual show sucks. Not only would I not pay $35 to see this crap, I want Vince to pay me $35 for insulting my intelligence with the insinuation that I would want to see this crap.

    I'm hatin' "I'm lovin' it"

I've given up trying to figure out how McDonald's thinks their new ad campaign is going to convince people to go to McDonald's. Hell, half the time I don't even know what the commercial is for until the very end. I'd be going, "Wow, this is a crap commerical. Who thought this would be a good...ohhhhhh."

Forget Boston, Chicago Has The Curse Instead

If you mean Buckner, that's one of the biggest fallacies in sports. From your friend and mine, Bill Simmons: In short, I will assign as much blame to this fan as people think Bill Buckner deserves.

http://espn.go.com/page2/s/simmons/020528.html Level VIII: Dead Man Walking Definition: Applies to any playoff series when your team remains "alive," but they just suffered a loss so catastrophic and so harrowing that there's no possible way they can bounce back ... especially disheartening because you wave the white flag mentally, but there's a tiny part of you still holding out hope for a miraculous momentum change ... so you've given up, but you're still getting hurt, if that makes sense ... just for the record, I thought this would apply to the Nets after their Game 3 collapse (I couldn't have been more wrong). Decent Example: Remember Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Finals in '93 (Knicks-Bulls), when Charles Smith had all those chances to make the winning layup and kept getting stuffed, so the Knicks lost home-court advantage and had to travel to Chicago for Game 6? They didn't have a chance in hell. Bring this game up to a Knicks fan and they invariably start dropping F-bombs. Personal Memory: Two quintessential examples, both from the '86 baseball playoffs. Games 6 and 7 of the ALCS (Red Sox-Angels), following the dramatic Game 5 when the Angels (three outs from the World Series) blew a 5-2 lead in the ninth inning (capped off by Dave Henderson's go-ahead homer with two strikes and two outs in the ninth, as policeman surrounded the field and the Angels bench was ready to run onto the field). If that wasn't bad enough, the Angels tied the game in the bottom of the ninth, had two chances with the bases loaded to score the winning run, then blew the game in the 11th. Then they flew cross-country to Boston to play Games 6 and 7, which they promptly lost by a combined score of 132-2. Talk about Dead Man Walking. Game 7 of the '86 World Series, when we knew the Red Sox could never recover from the 10th inning of That Game -- WE %$$#%@% KNEW IT! -- yet they pulled the Michael Corleone "Just when I thought I was out, they pulled me back in!" routine by staking Bruce Hurst to a 3-0 lead in the early innings. I hate this game. Just thinking about it makes me angry -- how the %$%# did they rope me in again after Game 6? Let's just move on before I start slamming my head against the desk ...

This from someone saying, "What if Gonzalez catches that ball?" There's no guarantee he turns two.

New York still gives you a good market...Twice the size of last years Team combinded ya know...and people still hate the Yanks... That's one market, not even a tenth of the country. No one's going to watch a Series just to see one team lose...they want to cheer for a team, and not enough people are going to tune in to see the Marlins. I didn't say it would be HUGE but NYY is a large market and you got a lot fans across the country... It'll do better than last years. That's not saying much, given that it was the lowest-rated Series in 514 years. This Series will be down around Subway Series levels. 514 years? I remember the classic Pilgrims/Explorers game back in 1694...REVENGE OF COLUMBUS! Damn Mayflower Bitch got her mitts on that ball and thus have cursed the Pilgrims ever since... I'll say it's slighty above the Subway Series as well.. OK, that made me laugh. Still, the Subway Series was the second-lowest ever. In fact, the only comparable recent series in terms of teams, Yankees/Padres, was the third-lowest Series ever.

Heh. "Thinking fans," eh? Your devotion to your team is heartwarming, but you're so sure that, given the chance to catch a piece of history, you're going to take your eyes off the ball to make sure your hands aren't in the field of play? Besides, there's no reason that Cy Young Candidate Mark Prior couldn't have just struck him out on the next pitch, is there? You can run with potential scenarios in either direction. Why would I want to catch "a piece of history" if I knew a member of my team could catch it and make history? If you're sitting in the first row, you have to know that anything you can catch, a player can probably catch, too. I make a play for the ball if the opposing team is in the field, but definitely not when my team is in the field.

and how many runs score on a foul ball? One, I believe... and the Missed DP loaded the bases...which lead to them blowing the gates open...and the fan had nothing to do with the other 7 runs. All right, ONCE MORE...if Alou catches the ball, here's what happens: - Castillo is out, giving the Marlins a runner on second with two outs. - Rodriguez singles home the first run. Runner on first, two out. - Gonzalez muffs the ground ball, putting runners at first and second with two outs. - Lee doubles, scoring Rodriguez. 3-2 Cubs, runners at 2nd and 3rd, 2 out. - Farnsworth walks Lowell. Bases loaded. - Conine flies out. Cubs lead 3-2 going to the bottom of the 8th.

Marlins-Yankees will draw worse numbers than last year's Series, and will cost fox any momentum they might have had in building a viewership.

Forget Boston, Chicago Has The Curse Instead

Apparently, a long time ago, a Chicagoan wanted to take a billy goat into a tavern and was denied. In return, he put a curse on the Cubs that they would never win another World series. Now THAT'S a curse.

And how many runs scored on the botched DP? Zero. Forget it. Choken's in no-sell logic mode.
