Three guesses, first two don't count.

Oh my word, Dan Shaughnessy is just TERRIBLE on PTI. He clearly has a face and voice for newspapers.

All-Time Wrestling Roster Draft
CanadianChris replied to PILLS! PILLS! PILLS!'s topic in Draft Faggotry
As someone on the outside looking in, I'd say my biggest regret is that Drury found this thread and I didn't. -
I read that and just went WOW. I can't believe no one wanted to take a chance on him. Senators signed Jason Smith for two years, $5.2m. I like this signing, although a small part of me worries that they may have gotten another Mike Commodore.

Twelve hours are up...this one was my favourite arcade wrestling game: Mat Mania/Exciting Hour I absolutely hated wrestling Coco Savage, with those damn shoulderblocks when you go to tie up.
-
I logged in this morning to find I had a staggering FOUR hitters on the DL, with one of my starting pitchers potentially heading there as well. I have a feeling my team is going to hang around the fringes of the playoff race, before breaking my heart in August once again.
-
Looks good. I was thinking that only Yankee stats should count also when this was first announced.
-
That's already started to change. Lions for Lambs absolutely bombed, and Valkyrie looks to be headed down the same path.
-
I am so freaking sick of the Jays' hitters this season. Seems like every single time they get a rally going with less than two outs, someone either strikes out or hits into a double play. I know clutchness is at the very least very overrated, but these guys have to be the unclutchiest bunch I've ever seen.

This is the game that consumed more of my quarters in university than any other...it cost me a lot of money to become the first grand champion on this machine: NBA Jam I thought it was taken, but I looked back and realized that Tournament Edition was the game that was taken.

Unless I misunderstand the history of the NWA, pretty much whoever had the biggest star in the country wrestling for them at a given time was NWA president. That's how Sam Mushnick (Lou Thesz), Fred Kohler (Buddy Rogers) and Jim Crockett (Harley Race and Ric Flair) got to be president.

All-Time NBA Draft (THE RESULTS ARE IN THE FIRST POST)
CanadianChris replied to Brett Favre's topic in Sports
This is a nearly impossible task. There are so many really good looking teams where there's not a lot separating them. -
For my backup goalie, I'll go with two-time Vezina winner and five-time Cup winner (despite missing three years in his prime while serving in World War II), and #60 on The Hockey News list of the 100 greatest players: Turk Broda, G And now my coach...a great man and a true coaching legend in all levels of hockey, be it collegiate, international or professional: Bob Johnson

It's actually simpler than that. If you add that big-ass equation together, you get 8x^2 + 48x - 56 = 0. Divide out the 8 and you're left with x^2 + 6x - 7 = 0. Now you just solve it as a quadratic equation: x^2 + 6x - 7 = 0 (x+7)(x-1) = 0 x=-7 or x=1 Now, plug x=-7 into the three angle measurements, and then plug x=1 into them. One works (all the angles are greater than zero and add to 180), one doesn't. As for the type of triangle, an acute triangle has three acute angles (<90 degrees), a right triangle has one right angle and two acute angles, and an obtuse triangle has one obtuse angle (>90 degrees) and two acute angles.

I went to Cooperstown today for the first time in 25 years. What an amazing place. So much history. I have a picture of me sitting on a set of seats from Shibe Park. I picked up an awesome jersey there based on the Who's On First routine: except I went with jersey #2 (WHAT).
-
I'd be up for it. Full 25-man roster, or just a subset?
-
Hopefully it'll pick up after the long weekend.

a) Since the line is parallel to 2x-3y=0, it has the same slope. Rewrite the equation as 3y=2x => y=2/3x. So, slope is 2/3, and the line is y=2/3x + b. Now, the line passes through (6,1). To find the y-intercept, plug (6,1) into the equation y=2/3x + b: y=2/3x + b (1)=2/3(6) + b b=1-4 b=-3. This makes the equation of the line y=2/3x - 3. Follow the same steps for b).

I was totally prepared to take one match here pretty much for the last three rounds (Hart Foundation vs. UT/Austin/Dude Love flag match, from my all time favourite RAW in Halifax, NS), but I just stumbled across this match a couple of days ago and I just have to take it with my last pick (sorry, can't find a picture): WWF Tag Team Championship match: The Quebecers [c] vs. Bret & Owen Hart, Royal Rumble, January 22, 1994 Never have I seen a man's leg get kicked out of his leg as Owen did to Bret here.

WWE/WCW Match Backwards Draft
CanadianChris replied to foleyfanforever88's topic in General Wrestling
Yes, you probably could have, so it shouldn't come as much of a surprise that my last pick is also from that card: King of the Road match: Dustin Rhodes vs. Blacktop Bully, Uncensored 95 Who on earth thought that this match could possibly be a good idea? The only thing that makes it even remotely worth watching would be Bobby Heenan's commentary. Amazingly bad and amazingly stupid.
