That happened to me last year. Got back from vacation, turned the computer on and the hard disk was fried. I took it in, and it turns out that there was a defect at the factory (Fujitsu) that would wipe out the boot sector of the hard drive after some unspecified period of time. It SUCKS.

You'd better split before CanadianChick sees you've stolen her thread again.

Nope. Best wait for Robbie Alomar to get in...I don't see how he can go in as anything other than a Blue Jay.

I will still like the original logo above all others: But this logo is light years beyond anything they've had for the last ten years: EDIT: HEY!!!!! Where the hell's the maple leaf???

What they said. You're not going to solve anything by going over the guy's place half-cocked. If anything, you could make it worse for her, because he'd be even more pissed. Call Social Services and make sure she gets out of there. What I don't get is the other ex's reaction. I would've reacted the same way as you did at first...not doing anything is a lot more being a little bitch than doing something.

Hey, no problem. In exchange, from the Sports Night episode "Dear Louise"... Natalie : On page 66, halfway down, in the NFL injury report, it says: "Collins is expected to miss practice this week, the result of a bulging disk." Dan : Yeah? Natalie : There's a typo on the teleprompter, they left out the "s". Casey : "Collins is expected to be sidelined a week to ten days with a bulging di--" Uh oh! Dan : Whoa, that's a big ten-four. Casey : My next line in the script was "Let's go to the video tape." Natalie : We might have gotten some phone calls.

If I ran the restaurant, I would've dumped a whole bucket of sauce on her (and her car), and yelled, "THERE'S your fucking sauce!" <<< Once again...

Agree on the first part. Mr. Fuji and Toru Tanaka were the first team to win 3 W(W)WF tag titles. The Wild Samoans (Afa and Sika) also won the titles 3 times.

That was a real incident? I know they did a joke like that on one episode of Sports Night...

If you're majoring in history, the last thing you need are math-intensive courses. Look for something that will help you improve your GPA. Sounds like you've already done that. History, though? You're planning on doing some post-grad work, yes? Otherwise, get ready to look forever for a decent job after college. My sister got a history degree, and she currently works as a desk clerk at a resort hotel.

Swami never lies. I want the matchup to finally come true...so he'll STOP PREDICTING IT. It's a running gag on its last legs.
-
So true. We haven't had a match like that since the Sampras vomit match. That brought back some vivid memories. I watched that match the day before I started my final year of high school.

For anyone in Canada, Mick Foley is currently on Off The Record on TSN. I will post anything interesting that comes out of the show later (I missed the first segment, anyone else see it?)

Final segment: - Mick agrees that he took a big gamble on Tietam Brown, away from the WWE promotional department. It is a dark book, going so far as to say his mother read it (it was dedicated to her) and never mentioned it to him again. But he sees it as being a "light at the end of the tunnel" type book. - Says that the narrator was himself at 17, insecurities and all; he drew upon a number of wrestling characters when writing the father. - Relates the gamble to the gamble he took in moving away from the tough-guy image that most wrestlers are perceived to have, especially with the things he'd done making him a legit tough guy, and being very successful at it. End of show. As I said, I missed the first segment; I'm sure nothing earth-shattering was said, but if anyone saw it, please post it here. Thanks.

From segment 3: - Segue from collapses and deaths from heat exhaustion in pro football to deaths in wrestling. Mick doesn't hold Vince responsible, saying that the wrestlers must ultimately be accountable for their own well-being. Said that WWE has a good track record for going after wrestlers who have a problem and making sure they get help if they want it. - Mick disagrees with the host that painkillers were not the only way to get through the daily grind. He decided early on that he wouldn't take painkillers unless they were absolutely necessary, and only took them regularly in his last year. - Mick thought a union would be a good idea, possibly under ACTRA or SAG. Thought that it would happen sometime in the future.
-
Some highlights from segment 2: - Mick watches a clip of Hogan from December knocking Foley for never being in shape during his career. He was quite insulted by this, saying that people who wrestled him would have said he was deceptively in shape. He then knocks Hogan for wrestling embarassing matches. - He still says he would like to do a program with Hogan (the three feuds he's never had that he'd like to were Hogan, Flair and Bruiser Brody). Said that they could have an exciting match, if not technically sound, and pointed to Hogan/McMahon from WrestleMania as an example.

From City To City, Looking at WWE Fans
CanadianChris replied to The Czech Republic's topic in The WWE Folder
Toronto is like Montreal in most respects. They cheer for Canadians above all others, and generally are very involved in the show. They, along with Montreal, worship the ground Hulk Hogan walks on, and are mainly responsible for Hogan's red-and-yellow push following WMX-8. They also do not like the Rock, or Goldberg. -
It's happened here for months. Not a great solution, but if you hit refresh about 30 times or so, it'll clear and go away for awhile.
-
'Course, nobody ever thought Rock was gonna be as huge as he ended up becoming. Let things happen before bitching about them. That's the problem...nothing "just happens" anymore. At least not on the level of the fans forcing Rocky to turn. WWE has instead adopted a policy of pushing everything down our throats, and not letting us make up our minds about ANYTHING.
