Can we get all the midcarders to run in and bury them both?
-
Indeed... That's not good.
-
I think you left off an X there.
-
Barron, how the hell did you manage to get "their" right in one of those and then screw it up in the next one? No, he got it right. We ARE hockey, and we know it.

Mother Charged With Putting On Birthday Striptease

Just one more example... <<< -
The McMahons were said to be very happy with how RAW came off this Monday. They felt that the show came off well and they accomplished what they were shooting for. Management also seems to be fully aware that much of the talent roster is unhappy with how they are being used, but does not have any immediate changes in mind to remedy the situation. Another interesting item from backstage was the feeling that the improv Vince McMahon birthday party that took place after the Summerslam PPV went off the air was really entertaining. Most felt that it came off well because it was improvised and not heavily scripted. Credit: 1wrestling.com ------------------- Well, why on earth wouldn't the McMahons be happy? They came off looking like a million bucks. And management not doing anything to make the talent happier is exactly why the wrestling monopoly is horrible for the business. They know full well there aren't any viable options for these guys to make a decent living, so they shit all over them and tell them to like it and ask for more.

I've heard Marty McSorley is a really nice guy off the ice. And 80s Oilers can do no wrong in my eyes. Yes, the Devils are the biggest heel team in the NHL, no doubt. When they scored that game-winner in game 7 against the Senators, "FUCK YOU!" rang out acorss the neighborhood. I said Marty McSorley, when I was actually thinking of current cheap-shot king Bryan Marchment.

Since the departures of Milt Dunnell and Jim Proudfoot, there is not one single good sports writer in Toronto. Only guy I might except would be Eric Duhatschek, but he writes for The Globe And Mail, which is a national paper. And yes, the Devils are THE heel team in the NHL. As for individual heels, I would single out Pat Quinn, Marty McSorley, Darcy Tucker, Eric Lindros and evil ref Kerry Fraser. Hall of Fame heel: Ulf Samuelsson. And of course, Bob Clarke. I mean, who can forget this classic:

Oh, and Cookie Crisp. -
New creative direction? I fail to see how any of those words describe WWE at this moment. They are neither new nor creative, and I can't see any kind of direction (except straight down into the ground).

Vince is a moron.

AFTER Raw? Look at the OAO thread...I must've said it like four times while the show was still going on.
-
I'm with you there. I'm going recaps-only until this thing turns around...if it ever does.
-
Oh good. I know everyone has just been mentioning recently that we don't get enough McMahons on TV.

My "company" is Fujitsu, ass. If you are not familiar with them then I suggest...Clicking here. Oh yes...you 're the guys who made the hard drives with the error that causes the disk to become inoperable after 12-18 months. Yeah, I remember you. "Company" is definitely the correct term.

As for the subtitle... Do you really want the answer to that?
-
What, so he can put himself over the entire promotion there too? No thanks.
-
No kidding. To be fair, Savage's opponents since dropping the belt weren't really the best guys to get a good match out of (Hogan and Beefcake, tagging with Zeus, Duggan, Big Dust). But this remains one of my three favourite WWF matches ever to this day. It was inexplicable. How they did it I'll never know.

So there can be another federation with screwjob finishers and non-wrestlers? No thanks OK, what if we get ROH a TV deal?
-
At least there wasn't someone dressed like Robin in on it. I mean, if you get your ass kicked by Robin, you pretty much have no reason to live.

And the one thing Maple Leaf fans could hold over Senators fans is gone...bankruptcy jokes.

They must have seen RAW and figured they were in for more of the same.

Short lived TV shows no one seems to remember

Never saw it, but I know of it. This was one of my all-time favourites as a kid. The front game was especially interesting, and required a great deal of strategy of both contestant's parts (one contestant had to charge up a board answering a question on each of 5 levels, and the other contestant threw up blocks in advance which would freeze the contestant for a few seconds if revealed). Running the Gauntlet of Villains at the end was just fun. Trebek with the White Man's Afro never gets tired. Another great one that didn't last long enough. Bowzer was awful on this show, and Gene Rayburn just got sick of him very quickly. You can still hear the theme as one of the music cues on The Price Is Right, when they play for a car. Too smart to last. People wouldn't watch it because it took over Press Your Luck's spot at 10:30. You think Trebek's smug on Jeopardy now? You should've seen that show. WAY too intellectual. The theme from the Jim Perry Card Sharks was lifted from that show, though, so it wasn't all bad. Before my time, sadly, and all the tapes are gone. I LOVED this show. I marked out whenever someone could open the doors and win the house. Too bad it aired opposite the second half of TPIR. You, sir, are a god among men. -
Most significant match of the decade
CanadianChris replied to geniusMoment's topic in General Wrestling
Bret v. HBK. They were doing ladder matches in Stampede way before that. Yes but HBK v. Bret was the first WWF match of its kind. The first time Vince took notice of one Never said it wasn't...but that's not what I was responding to.
