It probably stems from the Nitro in Toronto where Bret called Goldberg out, then tricked him into the spear with the steel plate wrapped around Bret's midsection. No one was cheering for Goldberg over Bret that night anyway, and Goldberg got branded a punk that night by the Canadian fans. More generally, though, I don't remember many WCW guys who either weren't Canadian or didn't have WWF roots getting big pops in Canada.

WarGames match: Team WCW (Warrior, Diamond Dallas Page and Roddy Piper) vs. Team Hollywood (Hollywood Hogan, Bret Hart and Stevie Ray) vs. Team Wolfpac (Kevin Nash, Sting and Lex Luger), Fall Brawl 98 What a debacle this was. A shitty, convoluted match, and a total desecration of the WarGames concept. Three teams of three? Teams that don't work together (since whoever won got a shot at Goldberg's title)? Pinfalls count? Add in all of Warrior's stupid hocus-pocus, and I feel sorry for the rest of you. -
Favre saying it was just a rumour means jack shit. Who tells the truth to the media nowadays?

I am Antoine Walker. Awesome. It was the 90% selfishness that put it over the top.

Mine are frozen and will not load completely. Looks like I'm out. Although I will say that I got about 90 seconds into the first part, and Nash no-selling Jarrett's handshake was awesome. -

I do that because I get reward points for every dollar I spend. So, if I spend $50 and $51, I get more points than if I spend $50.50 twice. -

I'll do my best. I may have to drop out after the first hour, though. -
I got the PM from Goblin. He selects Craig Ramsay, LW.

I'm sure they'd rather that Hank would 'go back to sleep.'

Sorry, my bad. I was looking in the wrong direction. So it's gWIL, then Jorge Gorgeous in 5 hours.

Since we're still waiting for CCB from last round, does that mean Lushus gets to pick now?

Canadian Brandon has missed; Milky is up now, followed by Darthtiki in about 6 hours. Come on, let's get this thing back on the rails.

Time-waster extraordinaire: Astrosmash (Intellivision) I can -- and have -- spent days playing this game. My dad and I had contests trying to beat the other's high score. I've never quite gotten over him being the first to break 1,000,000.

Without the expert commentary from Kevin Kelly and Mick Foley, this match is utter garbage: Kennel From Hell match: Al Snow vs. Big Boss Man, Unforgiven '99 -
That's the last time I click on this thread without checking to see who the last poster was.

You get to pick again. -
QFT. The last seven picks have now made me cross off four of the five guys on my short list (Muller, Probert, Richer and Middleton). I'm expecting the fifth to be taken any minute now.

And here it is: Rainbow Islands: The Story of Bubble Bobble 2 So much fun, and so many hidden things. I don't think any video game consumed more of my quarters in university than this one did, with one possible exception.

Actually, it's going the other way, so it's my pick. I'll have it up in a few.

I have a degree in statistics, so I can say I usually did pretty well in math.

Undisputed WWF Championship match: Undertaker vs. Triple H, King of the Ring 2002 I managed to find my short review of this match from a couple of years back in the forums: "There was punching. And clotheslines. And some punching. And stalling. And restholds. Hey, did I mention the punching? And it went for TWENTY-FIVE FUCKING MINUTES." -
Fuuuuuuuuuck.

True, I feel a lot better with him than with either of the guys in Binghamton right now.

Alex Auld is the new backup in Ottawa. Well, he's certainly not going to threaten Gerber.

With the whole deja vu movement going on in Toronto sports, I half thought the Leafs would sign Felix Potvin to a deal today. I'm very concerned about who's going to back up Gerber with all of the goalie signings elsewhere today.
