Very nice deal, it's pretty obvious we need another answer in net right now with Elliott not being ready and Auld continuing to be a career backup. Sens also signed Filip Kuba for 3 years, $3.7 million. No word yet on Chris Neil, although the rumour is that there's a tentative deal in place to send him to San Jose.

The Buckhalter signing pretty much confirms the Broncos won't be looking for a RB in the early rounds of the draft. Signing Dawkins would be pretty awesome...if he can stay healthy, that has the potential to be one hell of a secondary.

My God, every thought I had about an opponent for Savage got taken. Andre, Warrior, DiBiase, Perfect, Rhodes, Race...all gone. But I think I have a pretty good replacement...a consummate babyface that a cocky, paranoid heel like Savage could play perfectly off of, a ground-based style that I think would mesh very well with the acrobatics of Savage, and one of the best draws in history: Bruno Sammartino
