The Master of the Appetizer Tournament
CanadianChris replied to Cran Da Maniac's topic in Food Folder
Pigs in a blanket. If garlic bread counts, I'm nominating it, too. -
I'm sorry but that movie was garbage. Noooo way. It was an amazing movie. Admitily I only the saw the crappy dub, but a romantic comedy about the Holocaust? Really? I thought it was an abortion. It's not a romantic comedy about the Holocaust. The rom-com part was only for the first 50 minutes to set up the rest of the movie, and I thought it did a decent job. It's not like they're trying to make Springtime for Hitler or anything. Can't speak about the dubbing. I saw it in the original Italian with subtitles.

La vita e bella (1997) A masterpiece. If you don't cry at the end of this film, you might not be human. Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989) My other favourite movie ever.

Nine, I think.

NBC probably has the worst Olympic coverage in the world. Anyone with the ability to should be watching the CBC coverage.

Like there was any doubt. "I'm Tiger Woods, and you're not."
-
Sell high, baby. This makes up for the 12-0 debacle last week.
-
That's a bit of an understatement.
-
Way too many to list.

Depends on what I'm having it with. With pancakes, sausages win. Pretty much anything else, it's bacon. Sausages with syrup...mmmmmmmmmmmmmfghkjgjklhseghhjksdfkvjdh.

Minnesota's Scott Baker struck out four straight Brewers in an inning this afternoon. 17th pitcher in major league history to do it.

I thought about Richard, but I took Geoffrion instead (who I thought was even more overlooked).

Ho-lee SHIT. Those were two of the most compelling hours of golf you'll ever see. I have no idea how Tiger's going to get it done on the bad knee Sunday, but I have no doubt he'll find a way. And then take four weeks off in preparation for the Open. He may not even play his own tournament. Poor Phil. On the 13th, he reminded me of how I golf.

I'll fill out my top four defencemen here: Jacques Laperriere, D Calder Trophy winner, Norris Trophy winner, four Cups in 9 seasons, and a terrific defensive defenceman. And he's freaking tall. And another Hab, since I've heard they tend to be good: Bernie "Boom Boom" Geoffrion, RW Two Art Ross Trophies, a Calder, a Hart, eleven All-Star Games, and hey, six Cups.
-
Why would he have said that if he didn't? Just surprised me, that's all.
-
He certainly got it back together on the front 9. Woods trails Appleby by 1 going into the weekend. I like his chances, although there's no one I'd rather see win it than Stuey.

You thought PoA was a worse adaptation than GoF?

Royal Rumble match, January 24, 2004 I wanted a Royal Rumble match, and this one is easily the best of what's left. Lots of great stuff in this one -- Benoit winning from #1, Benoit and Orton going half an hour from the beginning, Foley's surprise appearance, everyone trying to gang up on Big Show but Benoit being the only one to figure out how to eliminate him, The Cat's entrance (and exit), Cena and Nunzio, Lesnar and Goldberg, etc.

I'm grabbing this now, even though I could probably go another 5 rounds without it being snapped up, because I love it so, so much: WWF Intercontinental Championship match: Honky Tonk Man [c] vs. Randy Savage, Saturday Night's Main Event, airdate October 3, 1987 Included with this match would be: - both prematch promos, including Savage's legendary Danger Zone promo ("I've been in the Danger Zone, east of the Pacific Ocean, west of London, England, south of Mars, and north of hell, yeah!") - the famous postmatch activities, culminating in the formation of the Megapowers - Hogan and Savage's even more legendary postmatch promo, in all its homoerotic glory

Quantum Leap Honestly, there were half a dozen shows I was going back and forth between. This one was my favourite show in high school and university, though. I still watch it quite often on DVD.

If anyone had Tim Russert, I've got a few sports bets I'd like to discuss with him.

Fun fact: I actually had an email published on one of those ESPN.com Page 2 top 10 lists about how much I hated Ulf Samuelsson. The list was top 10 most hated players, and he wasn't on there, so I felt compelled to make a case for him in the reader feedback portion. Fuck that guy.

He did make it: Willie Brown, CB 9x Pro Bowl (1964, 1965, 1967, 1968, 1969, 1970, 1971, 1972, 1973) NFL 1970s All-Decade Team AFL All-Time Team 54 career INTs (Raiders all-time leader in INT - 39) Super Bowl XI champion 2nd longest INT return for TD in Super Bowl history (75 yards) First-ballot Hall of Famer (1984) With the run on corners, I'm amazed he was still available. I had him as one of the 3 greatest corners ever, maybe the best.

Craig Hartsburg is the new head coach in Ottawa: http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=240543&...s=topStory_main Not sure how I feel about this move. He's a fine junior coach, but I've never thought he was terrific at the pro level, although that may have been a function of the teams he had. At least he has some NHL experience, unlike Peter DeBoer, who was rumoured for the job early this week. I don't know. We'll see.

I've got one guy in mind. Let's see if he makes it.
