The Things That Anger You Thread.

Very true. My wife's aunt lives in Ann Arbor, and we were basically told when we were visiting not to go to certain areas in Detroit under any circumstances. -
He has an opinion and he's not afraid to scream it at the top of his lungs.

I disagree with that wholeheartedly. Of the four games that Anaheim won, three were one goal games, and all three saw Anaheim take the lead in the third period. Before Game 3 of this series, we were wondering if Pittsburgh was even going to score a goal, let alone win a game. But it wasn't exciting hockey. For the skill those two teams had it was very lackluster. True for the most part, but competitive <> exciting. At least this year they appeared to have ice more solid than what you'd find in your typical sno-cone.

That's two blown saves in two games for Ryan after starting the season perfect. Thanks for rushing him back.

The ones that bug me are the Jesus freaks who need not just one, but eight or nine bumper stickers proclaiming their love for Christ. Christian rock station stickers, that damn fish, No Jesus No Peace/Know Jesus Know Peace (and WTF is with that one anyway?), and often about 3 or 4 pro-life stickers for good measure. If you're a Christian, great, more power to you, but did you really need to turn your car into a moving billboard as a result? -
Lucky all of us, I had more success: http://forums.thesmartmarks.com/index.php?...p;#entry2679932 EDIT: Looks like lots of people want cabbageboy punished.

I remember you saying that for sure.

All-Time Wrestling Roster Draft

Solid picks both. I always liked The Magnificent Muraco better as a ring name for him. -
Perrault was the other other guy I was looking at when I took Savard. French Connection FTW.

Did that actually make it on TV? -

There are big cities, and then there are Big Cities, know what I mean? I'd consider Oklahoma a big city but not a Big City. If Oklahoma City is a Big City, then Ottawa is a Big City. They're pretty much the exact same size. And I don't consider Ottawa a Big City at all. -
Yeah, could we get the front page updated? It was a little annoying trying to figure out who was taken by going backwards through the thread. Thanks.[/Drury]

Sure, what the hell. Ottawa, of course. I'll lay odds we don't get 30 people to sign up for this, though.

I'll start building my defence with one of the all-time great defensive tackles: Merlin Olsen, DT Pro Bowl (x14) (1962, 1963, 1964, 1965, 1966, 1967, 1968, 1969, 1970, 1971, 1972, 1973, 1974, 1975) NFL 75th Anniversary All-Time Team NFL 1970s All-Decade Team NFL 1960s All-Decade Team 1974 Bert Bell Award 1968 Pro Bowl MVP 1961 Outland Trophy St. Louis Rams #74 Retired Member of the "Fearsome Foursome"

Not sure why VX posted but didn't pick, but it's been 12 hours, so I'll round out my roster with another hard-nosed, defensive-oriented guy who can shoot, someone who can play the 3, a former Sixth Man of the Year... Anthony Mason, F I couldn't find any pictures of him with something carved into his hair, so this'll have to do.
-
20 participants will do that. This will easily still be running at the start of the season.
-
Andreychuk was the other forward I was considering besides Savard. Heatley's an intriguing pick. Don't know if I would've drafted him this high.

Just a little joke I like to make...fiance is a man, fiancee (extra e) is a woman. One of the quirks of the French language. -
Sonofabitch.

Did anyone else catch that Dama's getting married? And apparently to a dude? -
No, we're back to the original order, so it's Next USC #55.

Oh, cool. Let's go with: Cheers I can never decide what my favourite show ever is, but if I was forced to decide, this would probably be it. Even toward the end, Cheers was funnier than most shows on TV. Cheers is also one of the very few shows that could plug in new actors (Woody Harrelson, Kelsey Grammer, Kirstie Alley, Bebe Neuwirth) and actually get funnier each time. And it ran for 11 seasons, so I'll have a ton to watch.

Well, the drive to work helped me decide between the two matches I'd narrowed it down to...I guess I need a Flair match in here somewhere, don't I? WCW World Heavyweight Championship match: Vader [c] vs. Ric Flair, title vs. career, Starrcade 93, December 27, 1993
-
Al has sent me his next two picks... Sgt. Slaughter vs. The Iron Sheik, Boot Camp match, June 16, 1984 WWF Championship match: Shawn Michaels [c] vs. Mankind, Mind Games, September 22, 1996
