I think I know who you're referring to. I was wondering about him myself with my last pick.
-
Oh, nice. I was wondering when someone would remember him.
-
Yeah, I wasn't looking forward to watching the final round that year because it seemed that Retief with a three(?) shot lead was money in the bank.

Goblin took Chris Chelios. In the NFL draft, if time runs out on your pick, the draft continues as normal with the next team. Whoever had their pick missed can jump in with their pick at any time thereafter. It happened one year where Minnesota missed their pick, and there was a stampede of teams trying to get their next pick in before the Vikings could hand in their pick.
-
I'm in.
-
Dude, you just drafted Howard Cosell.
-
No worries, I did that once in the NBA draft.

Retief's putting was more than clutch that week -- it was otherworldly. No one was making those putts on those greens. It looked as though he'd made a deal with the devil. Actually, that would explain the meltdown at Pinehurst in 2005, wouldn't it?

Also, please change my team name to The Great Ones.

From the look of things, we should erase Smartly's pick of Leetch, and go: Max EHME Angle is God JJ Johnson Max Goblin Smartly Also, if I could make a suggestion, if someone isn't here to pick, I say we just skip them and let them come in and pick whenever they come back, a la the NFL draft. This picking at the end of the round is too confusing.
-
I don't know what happened, but it definitely wasn't Smartly's pick.

Honestly, I think Phil's best chances to win the Open are behind him. He should have won at Winged Foot and Shinnecock, and probably should have won at Pinehurst too. I think CG is right on with the Norman comparison.

You bastard. I was certain Camby was making it back to me.
-
Wayne and the Ninety-Nines.

It's never just one or the other. The Pistons were missing tons of shots they would normally make, and that led to a lot of easy baskets at the other end. But credit Boston for taking it right to the Pistons from the start. Detroit looked like they were on their heels and passive for pretty much the entire game. Fun stat: Detroit's starting frontcourt did not make a single trip to the foul line in Game 3.

I guess you could consider it an accidental line. I know the first time he used it was in his interview with Gennifer Flowers at WrestleMania XIV. I think he liked how it sounded and decided to keep using it.
-
I don't think Belby was even mentioned in Deathly Hallows.
-
Just before the opening faceoff, I'll say Detroit in 6. I can't take any defence that includes Hal Gill seriously.
-
Yes, good effort.
-
I don't know, are you right-handed?
-
I guess that makes my decision easy, since I was trying to decide between Porter and this guy... "The Wizard" Gus Williams, PG Lightning-fast, a great scorer, and once the all-time leader in steals. He'll provide a huge energy boost coming off the bench.
-
Probably not much worse than what he traded in for it. Plus, this way he's the son-in-law of a rich guy.
-
From what's been said over at DVDVR, it would seem so. It looks like it'll also dispel some myths about a lot of the so-called "good guys" in wrestling.
-
Oh, there he is. Well, shit. I'll try again. First pick, and I cannot believe for a second that he's still here: Guy Lafleur, RW Two minutes for looking so good! Second pick: Eddie Shore, D

Before I make my pick, can I get clarification on whether we're picking forwards by position or not?
