Time to grab the coach: 864 wins (7th all-time) and a title in 20 seasons, a Hall of Famer and named one of the 10 greatest coaches in NBA history. Stresses discipline and strong team play, which is exactly what I'm looking for.

I had no idea Fat Lever wasn't fat. Incredibly, I'd never seen even a picture of him until today.

Tabernac.

I remember him ending a promo with it sometime in the summer of 99, but I'm pretty sure it was on Raw. We may be thinking of different promos, however. I'm pretty sure this one originated on RAW as well. Something about H saying Austin called himself a student of the game, then retorting, "Well, I AM the game." I know he repeated this line a couple of times leading up to the PPV, probably including the preshow on Heat.

Indiana Jones & the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull
CanadianChris replied to CBright7831's topic in Television & Film
You've never seen ANY of them? That boggles the mind. I've seen each of them at least a dozen times (more like three dozen for Raiders). The one thing that I'm dreading about seeing this movie is that there are apparently killer ants. Bugs are my biggest phobia. That's one of the big reasons that Temple of Doom is my least favourite film in the series. -
We had three huge rainstorms today. The rest of the time it was sunny. So weird.

Indiana Jones & the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull
CanadianChris replied to CBright7831's topic in Television & Film
I've read a couple of reviews that put it solidly below Raiders, solidly above Temple of Doom, and about on par with or slightly below Last Crusade. That's plenty good enough for me. I had nightmares that this film would be my Rocky V. -
All-Time Wrestling Roster Draft

Damn, how did I miss this? -
I like the tourney idea, but I don't know about one-and-done. Maybe best-of-3 or best-of-5? Instead of top 3 get byes, you'd need to have the bottom 6 play off in kind of a qualifying round to get down to 16 teams.

But the Lakers also got terrible nights out of Fisher and Odom, and still won. It works both ways.

The new coach of the Avalanche is...the old coach, Tony Granato. Seems a bit odd.

I'm wondering how people are going to look at my team, given that I only have one player who began his career after 1980, let alone 1990.
-
Well, it sound like it's terminal, so I can see that.

My wife didn't believe me when I said we needed to get to Wal-Mart when it opened to have a chance of getting a copy of Wii Fit. She's seen the error of her ways.

Well, I hope the Spurs stick with their pattern of laying an egg in the third quarter of road games. Parker has just been abusing the Lakers to this point.
-
Shit, I was taking Bowman if he was available.
-
Willis wouldn't be any better. He might be worse. His control has become non-existant. He's on an express train out of the majors if he keeps going the way he's been going the last couple of seasons.

Yeah, that was the legendary (in my own mind) "God spoke to Billy Gunn" promo: And your house started to shake, the heavens opened up, and God himself spoke to you, and said this: "Bob..." "But my name's Billy --" "IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT YOUR NAME IS!"

Where did you hear this?

I was looking at Petrovic last round as well, when I took Manu, and I thought about Horace Grant this round.
-
I accepted the first one. So, trade number 8 -- Josh Hamilton and Ubaldo Jimenez for Derrek Lee and Chad Billingsley.
-
Geez, is my starting pitching ever horrible. Anyone got some starters they want to trade for an outfielder? I might even part with Josh Hamilton if the right offer comes along.

Want: Lakers/Celtics Think: Lakers in 7, Pistons in 6 I think a Detroit/San Antonio series would have the most to offer in the way of sheer basketball ability, but the entertainment and intrigue factors just aren't there. Neither of those teams really captures the imagination the way the Lakers and Celtics do. Lakers/Celtics would do the most to generate interest in basketball again, which can't possibly be a bad thing. Sure it wouldn't be Magic vs. Bird, or Russell vs. West, but it sure would be fun to watch.

I really hope so. I don't want to see a whole bunch of wedding planning episodes for a wedding that's not going to happen. Just dump him right off the bat and get it over with.
