Incidentally, is there any doubt in anyone's mind anymore that Ovechkin is the MVP?
-
Yeah, but that's only if you look at the entire conference. They'll only have been caught by two teams in their own division if they miss the playoffs. I'm looking at the silver lining, which is that I'll end up saving a lot of money. I spent over $1000 on tickets and game-day expenses last year.

The Best Sports Movie of All Time

There was no third one. There was, but consider yourself lucky. I think Cerrano was the only returnee. I don't know what you're talking about. There was no third Major League movie. Next you'll be telling me there was a sequel to Caddyshack. -
The free fall continues. Only two points up on ninth place now. The way Toronto and Boston have been handling us lately, I'm not at all optimistic.

Playoffs traditionally get their own thread, but this is fine for the final week. Rangers moved up to fifth last night, where I hope they stay. I'd much rather try my luck with Carolina than New Jersey. That, of course, is assuming Ottawa stays in sixth (definitely not a sure thing) and Washington doesn't grab the Southeast (which would be a disaster, considering they swept the Sens this season).

So, this is probably worth grabbing a torrent of, then?

Is there a rain delay in New York? I'm at work, so I don't know, but I know it's raining on a lot of the East Coast.

A) They're going to Pittsburgh and Philadelphia. Not exactly a long haul. Actually Atlanta plays at home tomorrow, thus this one game screwed them out of opening at home. Oh, my bad. That's really stupid, then.

I never knew there was a version of Blockbusters in the UK.

A) They're going to Pittsburgh and Philadelphia. Not exactly a long haul. B) The Nationals are playing at 4:00, while Atlanta has a night game. I agree, though, that it makes no sense why the Braves and Nats couldn't just open with a three game series.

That's terrible. Even I got 22.

Wow, I'd completely forgotten that she was supposed to be the dermatologist. Probably a function of me liking Sarah Chalke in the role so much.

Everyone should go to Opening Day at least once. There's always such a feeling of optimism in the air. Even if you're a Pittsburgh fan.

You and about half the country.

No books, but the Biography on him pops up on A&E and The Biography Channel every so often.

Rarely have I seen such an uninspired effort. If this keeps up, the Senators will shockingly be the team to miss the playoffs in the East.

Pujols would have to be productive for the whole season, and I just don't see that happening. That right there just about dooms the Cardinals.

How awesome is it that all the Davidson students that the school paid the way to come see the team get to see them in two games this weekend?

I got Facebook at my sister's urging, but I haven't looked at it in months. I'm such an introvert that it's too much like work to check on everyone.

Wisconsin never had a chance after about the ten-minute mark. They're not built to erase large deficits in short amounts of time. Curry has outscored Wisco in the second half by himself.

Reyes seemed to tap into his potential this spring, and they still wouldn't put him in the rotation. Dave Duncan doesn't seem to like him.

I guess it's time for you to get out of Dodge.

Tennessee is so far out of control it's ridiculous. Sloppy dribbles, wild passes, terrible shots, you name it.

Oh, goddammit. Have to wait one more night to clinch a playoff spot.
