South region: 1/16: Memphis vs. Texas-Arlington 8/9: Mississippi St. vs. Oregon 5/12: Michigan St. vs. Temple 4/13: Pittsburgh vs. Oral Roberts 2/15: Texas vs. Austin Peay 7/10: Miami vs. Saint Mary's 3/14: Stanford vs. Cornell 6/11: Marquette vs. Kentucky Memphis has a hard road to the Final Four, and I don't think they make it. I think Texas beats them. Now Oregon is in. I think a team everyone figured would be in is going to be mighty disappointed.

Davidson got hosed as well. They're tons better than a 10 seed.

Midwest region: 1/16: Kansas vs. Portland St. 8/9: UNLV vs. Kent State 5/12: Clemson vs. Villanova 4/13: Vanderbilt vs. Siena 2/15: Georgetown vs. UMBC 7/10: Gonzaga vs. Davidson 3/14: Wisconsin vs. Cal St. Fullerton 6/11: USC vs. Kansas State I like Kansas to come out of this region, a lot. Seriously, enough with the mid-majors playing each other. Two more matchups. I suspect Billy Packer had a hand in this. OJ Mayo vs. Michael Beasley should be fun. That has upset potential. Villanova? Are you fucking kidding me?

East region: 1/16: UNC vs. play-in (Coppin State vs. Mount St. Mary's) 8/9: Indiana vs. Arkansas 5/12: Notre Dame vs. George Mason 4/13: Washington State vs. Winthrop 2/15: Tennessee vs. American 7/10: Butler vs. South Alabama 3/14: Louisville vs. Boise State 6/11: Oklahoma vs. St. Joseph's Easy road to the regional final for UNC, but the Elite 8 game will be difficult. Tennessee/Louisville should be epic. Boo to mid-major on mid-major violence.

If the teams they just showed are the only teams on camera, then they don't have anyone who won't make the tournament. At least put a camera in Arizona State's room or Virginia Tech's or something.
-
Too late, there are already two different pools started.
-
Agreed about Oregon. Villanova was never in.

During Vijay's approach to the 18th today, some idiot yelled, "Hey Vijay, go in the water!" during his downswing. People in the gallery should be able to beat guys like that up for something like that.
-
I would say Memphis, because they can't shoot free throws. Any team that can stay with them has a shot.
-
Coppin State qualified for the play-in game, winning the MEAC over Morgan State in a terrific finish.

go blazers You're dead to me.

I don't get CKWS. Also, amazingly, of the seven CBC channels I get, Toronto isn't one of them. But, it is on Centre Ice, which I just thought to check.
-
This isn't fair. The one night I want to watch a Leafs game (my wife and her friend are there), all the CBC channels here are showing either Montreal or Vancouver.
-
Uh, holy shit. Did I draft that much better than everyone else?
-
Sounds good to me, but then, I don't have any more picks.

ESPN is reporting that Oakland is trading for DeAngelo Hall.
-
I think, if they canceled this show, that would be it for me as far as watching scripted TV goes. Any show I like gets canceled, while crap like Two and a Half Men lives on forever. I don't need it.

I knew as soon as Tiger posted that 66 that he'd be in the lead at the end of the day. Barring a birdie by Vijay on 18, that's exactly where he'll be. The 16th is just a nightmare -- watching Nick Watney post an 8 there (drive OB, 4th shot in the water fronting the green) to go from 2 ahead to 2 behind was just ugly.

Apparently, the league didn't have a good camera angle of the incident when they looked at it the night it happened. So, the league's still incompetent, just a different kind of incompetent. EDIT: The verdict is in, and Pronger gets 8 games. Still a joke.
-
And Kentucky gets the loss they may not have been able to afford, going down to Georgia in OT. Well, now.
-
Try over half (15 of 27). So sick.

You're right. Still funny, though. -

Two come to mind: 1) Darryl Sutter ripping out the tongue of Harvey the Hound. 2) At the Churchill Bowl (Canadian university football semifinals) ten years ago, Ottawa was playing Waterloo. Waterloo had the ball near the end of the first half. The Waterloo QB threw a pass to a wide-open receiver...who ran into the Ottawa mascot, who had wandered onto the field. The mascot was flagged for pass interference , and Waterloo went on to score a TD on the possession. -
Yeah, but they had no choice. It looks like the NCAA flat out told them to play the final when it's scheduled or no automatic bid for the SEC. Giving the bid to Tennessee for the regular season title wasn't an option. I'm sure Kentucky would rather the tournament have been canceled, so they didn't have a chance to fuck up against Georgia and slip back onto the bubble, but what can you do.
