One (Darren Clarke).

X-rays were negative, which is good news. As an aside, this Lakers/Hornets game has been really good.

You're thinking of football. This doesn't happen near as much in basketball. It does happen as often, if not more, in basketball. I'm sure UCLA scheduled those games against Yale, Youngstown St, Idaho State, UC Davis, and Western Illinois because they thought those teams offered a competitive game. The same goes for all top rated schools. Those games are nothing but mere exhibition games for big name schools to fill their arenas. The small schools have no choice to accept the "honor" of traveling cross country during the school year with the very faint hopes that they might catch that powerhouse team on an off day and get some attention that they could never obtain on their own. My point is that there are so many fewer sure wins in college basketball. I'm sure Kentucky thought that Gardner-Webb and San Diego were pretty easy games when they scheduled them. There are tons of upsets on this scale in basketball, while a comparable upset in football happens almost never.

St. Joe's beat Xavier in the A-10 semis and probably saved their season. They almost have to be in the tournament now.

I'm getting my first look at Utah tonight, against the Celtics. They look scary. I wouldn't want to run into them in the playoffs.

There are 20- and 21-year-olds, too.

Degrassi now is apparently DIFFERENT from when I was young. No shit. Degrassi in the old days may have had people jumping off bridges while high, sleazy teachers trying to molest their students, 13-year-olds getting pregnant, 14-year-olds with leukemia, 16-year-olds with HIV, 17-year-olds committing suicide at school, kids having their parents killed in a car accident and becoming alcoholics... ...what was my point, again?

Damn, I was looking forward to another episode of "Brian Burke, Whiny Bitch." This league is a complete joke. Don't suspend anyone anymore, just let them go in and kill each other.

You've obviously never seen him post about the Orioles and Ravens. *cough*WEEK 13*cough*

Kentucky should be out if they lose today, IMO. They did absolutely nothing in non-conference play, and don't have a single good win away from Rupp.

Incidentally, thank God this is done, because I don't think I have the energy to try and dig up anyone else.

Shit. Well, then, how about: Rick van den Hurk, SP

Franklin Morales, SP

Gerber shut out the Canadiens. I am duly impressed.

Eh, if anyone started it, it was me. It was a curious pick to me because I was certain he would go undrafted. But, a sixteenth-rounder isn't much to spend to guarantee you get him if you want him, I guess. Four more picks to go, then I will be D-U-N.

Well, he'll eat up innings, if nothing else. The Cardinals aren't going anywhere anyway, so he'll keep the front office from having to rush along some of their pitching prospects.

Showing the highlights of the end of USC/ASU, where the Sun Devils had a tying basket waved off with 17 seconds left on a phantom call, one of the ESPN2 analysis just let loose: "A joke. Pac-10 officiating is a joke. There was no box out, no nothing." and "Wouldn't be a Pac-10 game without bad officiating." Then, when the other analyst said, "That's just enough, now...it happens," the first analyst came back with, "No! It happens in THIS conference in big, big games." I don't know who that analyst is, but he is awesome. I thought they were going to throw down on the air. EDIT: It was Doug Gottlieb. Doug Gottlieb is awesome.

He'll never get in. I don't think he should, either. He compromised the integrity of the game. Next: Rank the top 5 QBs of all time. -
I think Houston can go very far -- like, to the Finals far -- because they're playing defence better than just about anyone. Their D right now means they have to be taken very seriously.
-
Does Dayton have a shot to get in? They couldn't beat Xavier today and only finished 7th in the A-10, but they do have 21 wins, including Pitt and @ Louisville (two better wins than pretty much anyone else on the bubble), and had injury problems for much of conference play.

I sure hope he's a keeper, because he won't play for you this year.
