While not an elite talent like Dorsey or Ellis, Sims is strong and a good tackler, and with time and some good coaching, should help shore up a woeful defensive line that finished 30th against the run in 2007.

No. Setting aside the sports betting issue, which is easily handled, Vegas isn't a large market, and there's too much else competing for tourists' attention. There won't be support for a publicly-financed arena, and nobody is going to want to build a stadium that will probably lose money when they could build a casino that will probably make money. The reason I think Kobe won't get it is because everyone's going to point to that nationally televised Lakers/Cavs game from a few weeks ago, where LeBron outplayed Kobe down the stretch, and say they can't put Kobe ahead of LeBron on that basis. Which is bullshit, but there you go.
