They came close to making the playoffs

This brought back some repressed memories and of course I haven't gotten it out of my head since stumbling across it.

Are you looking for local breweries, because I could suggest some from Nor-Cal that you can easily find at BevMo.

Sneaker Pimps - Becoming X 1997 Around the time this album finally hit the states, I had been introduced to techno and trip-hop through a variety of sources, one of those being the film "The Saint" and its soundtrack which featured the Nelee Hooper remix of the band's signature track "6 Underground". As time has gone on, I find that the original version of the song is much smoother. The entire first half of the album is fantastic with "Low Place Like Home", the absolutely mellow title track and the moody "Spin, Spin Sugar". The rest of the album is pretty good, but the best part of the album is that first half.

I would have liked to have seen a parody of S&D and Lean on Me

Damn I was hoping that ...And Out Come the Wolves would have been around when I picked.

They need one with the LA Kings logo.

Dude, you're now just discovering the power of Lucille's? I've been going there for a year or so and it's pretty good for a chain joint, but places like Emanuel's are still where the great BBQ is at.

I'm sure that my Grandfather was there to greet him in heaven. RIP.

Anyone know of someone who can appraise my collection of Heston stuff?

Best Bagel & Lox I've had is a toss-up between the Hyatt Century City and the Esmerelda Resort in Indian Wells the latter having the biggest fucking capers I've ever seen (and I'm a man who enjoys his capers)

Since I didn't get a PM until today about being on the clock, here is my pick. Save Ferris - It Means Everything 1997 In keeping with the Orange County vibe of my last pick, I chose this album because of its poppy-ska goodness. Monique Powell's vocals are fantastic. Unfortunately, this band got overshadowed by that other female fronted, ska influenced band from OC. "The World is New" is fantastic as well as the cover of "Come On Eileen", plus how can you not love an album with a song dedicated to SPAM.

Between watching this and the opening day of the Dodgers 50th season this has been a great day.

I had North Coast's Old Stock Ale today...god damn that took my ass out.
-
That Dodger game was pretty good but the opening ceremonies were amazing with Sandy Koufax showing up during the legends intro.
-
I for one enjoy her ass. As for the show, Punk winning and the Flair/HBK match were the highlights and it looks like a purchase for the ol' video library.

I will have an opening in my place by end of April. Rent is still TBD, but should be around 575-600 a month + utilities (power, internet, gas). The house is located in Anaheim, CA. PM me if interested.

Maybe I don't know enough about the format, but they are releasing on Blu-Ray this year so there could be a 2 or 3 Disc Blu-Ray set with the full ceremony. Of course that means that the DVD set would have to be bigger or they could release as a stand alone double dip 2 disc-er. Or you make tickets only available through WWE.com, in which the site clearly posts the code of conduct before signing up for the opportunity to take part in a ticket lottery. Upon receiving the tickets and confirmation of purchase whether they are mailed or print@home, a version of the code of conduct will be attached. And finally the code will be visibly posted outside the venue so there is no excuse for not knowing how to act.

Isaiah Rider got arrested again.

I'm looking forward to this mania. Unfortunately, I won't get to be able to watch it with the usual gang (NoCalMike, Ced, DA...etc) this year.

Smash - The Offspring 1994 This was a tough choice between this, Ixnay on the Hombre and Americana for me. However, this top to bottom is just full of raw energy from Nitro (Youth Energy), to the title track. Also, they're from Orange County so they automatically have a spot.
