Chris Benoit Dead - Toxicology results released

John McCain is licking his lips right now. And your point is? If I remember correctly, Zuffa and the rest of MMA ran towards regulation and building a framework where they could operate without a negative cultural stigma as opposed to wrestling which has been lucky to smoke and mirror (read: wellness policy) its way around the Sauronic eye of the government this long. If Senator McCain wants to turn it into an issue then more power to him, hell it may help his poll numbers for 08. From what I've been reading, yes. The bacteria in your mouth chew through the palate and into the brain quickly. This just sounded cool for some reason -

It seems that a lot of this reporting is yellow journalism at its best -
I'll try one tomorrow. EDIT: I tried it and it was ok, I need my lettuce, tomato and onions on my burgers though. Oh and Mike, Jack In the Box's entire menu>The Baconator

It's not just steroids, it's the fact that the target of the show is the same demo which has seen steroid usage rise. Additionally, a business does not like government interference with how they operate and use lobbys and trade groups to self-regulate to keep the government off their back (see movie ratings or parental advisory stickers, fallacies I know, but they are examples of the bare minimum of self policing that keeps the feds off their asses). Unfortunately, the self-policing hasn't worked and could be enough grounds for a politician who wants to make a name for themselves to build this into an legislative and regulatory issue -

I agree. You can't place the cause for the actions on the business, the practices and rituals of the business can have a factor, but the truth is that we probably will never know what the motives were. That being said, things need to change but in all likelyhood they will for 5 minutes and it will be business as usual. The only thing that we as wrestling fans can do is hope that real changes do take place, either voluntarily or bureaucratically. Unfortunately, I think Congress has bigger things to deal with than wrestling. However, a good catalyst for change would be for state governments to pass legislation closing the loophole for their state athletic commissions regulate the promotions with testing. This may force self-policing by the fact that shows may not be able to be run if the regs are not abided by. -

All I know is that this may be discussed during my entertainment and society course. I hope that some sort of hearings come about or a union does get formed, because something has to and will change because of this. -

I'm wondering if we'll see some government bureaucrat asking for investigation into the business due to all the media controversy. Since self-policing is obviously not working and that is the only way to keep the government out of your affairs, this could be a possibilty and maybe it would be for the best. Just a thought -

Because as Meltzer said, CBS approached the WWE on casting a diva, which if this is the case exposes Survivor as a complete and total sham.

Saw the Police and Foo Fighters last night at Dodger Stadium. Both bands put on a good show, though "Don't Stand So Close to Me" was a little too laid back for my taste. "Message in a Bottle", "Roxanne", "Every Breath You Take" and "Next to You" were amazing. Apparently, the show will be the live DVD.

Yes, it will. The water cooler, er, juice box buzz on this one is deafening. I hear kids crying its name out in random public places. Plus, the online community of nerdy chicks who are obsessed with animated children's movies are eagerly awaiting it too. Whats wrong with liking animated children's movies? I'm looking forward to Ratatouille, not because I'm a fan of Disney/Pixar fans but also it deals with cooking which I love. You know I'm surprised Disney didn't try and put something together with the Food Network.
