Trust me I would never degrade one of the greatest places in California with the name of that awful fucking show. It's either Orange County or OC not The OC. Hell even the Fullerton shirts (which parody The OC's logo) says OC.

So I got my letter today saying that I've been conditionally accepted to California State University Fullerton next spring, provided I pass my courses that start tomorrow. It's amazing just only a couple years ago I would have been content with an Associates and a Certificate, but now I'm going to gun for a Bachelors and finally achieve my dream of living down in Orange County.

According to a Reuters article today Cruise's back-end deal is 20+% of first dollar gross and then a healthy percentage of DVD reciepts, which I assume is around 20 or 30 percent. Also, a good amount of the money goes back into to operational costs of the studio (execs, maintenence of the lot, etc.), which aren't covered in the budget of the film.

But then what happens with the character if he gets fired? You really have Vince and co. doing their thing during most of the show and then just cut to meanwhile at Miller/Gold it's the Adventures of Ari and Lloyd, it makes for bad television. Ari and Entourage are a symbiotic relationship, yes you can dump Ari but again considering Piven is the one getting all the critcal praise (read: Emmy nod) it would be a dumb move for the PTB to write out the character unless I missed something in the trades saying Piven wants out. And as for the A2 thing, yes Gyllenhaal was cast but chances are that the film would still be in pre-production and a cast change is indeed possible even through the early stages of principal photography the precedent being Back to the Future where originally they started principle with Eric Stoltz in the Marty McFly role.
