Yes, League of Extraordinary Gentlemen was surprisingly bad, but then I think "What was Sean Connery's last classic film?" and I realised that since Hunt For Red October in 1990 he's been in crap, so it's to be expected. X2 shocked me. I expected it to be good, but it was still just so amazingly awesome.

As this bar is about to become multi-lingual and put several people here in a state of unrest, I have arrived as saviour/stripper.

I think there was some messup with the IM thing. I haven't received mine yet. I'm just bringing this up now so you can rectify it and let me know what awards I have won so I can write the subsequent speeches for them. Thank you.

Kahran, I disagree with what you are saying. I thought Pirates Of The Carribean was better than Master And Commander, I thought X2 was better than The Hulk but I did not find The Godfather boring nor am I a dumb teen. My favourite movie ever is Gone With The Wind, so obviously I have a pretty good attention span. The Hulk just did nothing for me and came across as pretentious tripe, whereas X2 was pretty solid. Master And Commander was good, but I felt Pirates Of The Carribean had a charm which M & C lacked. Also, I was doing work experience at a production company while POTC was being done, so I had this inside scoop thing which made it special to me.

Wow, there's a bait if I ever saw one. I'd pick Across The Universe, then A Day In The Life, then Because.

There are some hugely important people missing from the 100 (forgive me if some I mention are in there). Bill Haley - He's actually a contender for #1 on my list, and he's not even in your top 100. The importance of Rock Around The Clock in popular music is massive, and I can't believe he didn't warrant a mention on this list. Berry Gordy Jr: He's already been mentioned, but I'll mention him again. Carole King: You mentioned Joni Mitchell, though King was possibly a more important female songwriter in the 1960s. She wrote eight #1 hits and Tapestry is both an awesome album plus one of the biggest selling ever. Madonna: She'd be in my top ten, yet she's not in your 100. Redefined women in music, was arguably the biggest artist of the 1980s (I'm sure some Michael Jackson fan will find some evidence otherwise, but whatever) and is just amazingly important. The fact you had any women on the list but not Madonna is strange. I can't be bothered writing my reasons anymore, so I'll just list them: Roy Orbison Cliff Richard Diana Ross Johnny Rotten Phil Spector Phil Collins Tina Turner And with Michael Jackson, Thriller was the only album which really impressed me. Bad was aptly titled, as only The Way You Make Me Feel blows me away. Off The Wall was very good, and Dangerous onwards are pathetic.

I too got the PM from the bastard. He massaged me, that must be an indication of how desperate they are for members at his board. I barely have time to even post at this one.

Smarks EZBoard alumni roll call
spiny norman replied to The Czech Republic's topic in No Holds Barred
I wasn't saying it was Eagan, he was just a hypothetical. I would be *shocked* if Eagan could ever do something so brilliant. So who was Mr. X Spooky Secret Phantom Man The Original then? -

Wasn't he BPP or something? It doesn't matter if Eagan was Mr. X, as he still managed to make (in my opinion) the best gimmick poster on this board ever. -

I always get xkiller and mr. x spooky secret phantom man mixed up. Though it shouldn't really be too hard, as mr. x was by far more awesome. -
Sean Connery Originally Asked To Star In
spiny norman replied to Jonathon's topic in Television & Film
I have officially come to the conclusion that Sean Connery has lost it. He is seen as a major box office draw, yet aside from The Rock and Entrapment he hasn't been in a massive box office success in the last ten years. And he hasn't really had a movie come out that blew me away since The Hunt For Red October. Connery had a great period in the late-80s, but since then he's been nothing special at all. -
Golden Globe 2004 Nominees Announced
spiny norman replied to Lord of The Curry's topic in Television & Film
I would say of those currently released that Finding Nemo, Kill Bill, Return Of The King, Lost In Translation and Mystic River should be the Best Picture nominees. That will never happen of course, but they deserve it. Yeah, those nominations are okay, though I think Whale Rider, X2 and Dogville deserve more love. -
Yeah, I don't find this amusing at all. The Darwin Awards can amuse me, but this is not funny at all and I think it's pretty sick to find humour in it.

Oh, wow, you called me gay, I can't make a comeback to that. You say this board is going downhill fast. I don't see how you are contributing to making it any better. If you want this forum to raise its intellectual standards to gay jokes then I can see why you would have your problem. However, if this is not your intention than I have to come to the conclusion that you are a hypocrite. You contribute less to the board than anyone else here except for constant whinging and then doing nothing to attempt to rectify it. Oh, to keep with the theme: Go read some Wilde before hitting me with your next witty one-liner.

Please go and sharpen your grammatical skills on another board. Only then will you know that a comma doesn't belong in this sentence. While you're at it, get over your superiority complex, because you really come across as a self-righteous prick.

Yes, I thought you were trying to keep yourself from falling asleep, not inducing us into it.

I almost always have dreams which have a massage of some sort behind them. They can be read into and it is useful in understanding some of my concerns and thoughts which I didn't really know I had. Last night, I had the most unusual dream I have ever had. I am at a loss as to how to read it, and I thought perhaps some people on here may be good dream readers. My dream: Transvision Vamp was taking over the world. I was part of a special team who decided to retaliate and foil their evil plans. Because they had heavy defence in the air, we decided to infiltrate them underwater. So as to remain fully hidden, we made sure to be underneath whales. I was on the back of a dolphin and it was moving incredibly fast. I was pulling on its fin and this caused it to grow incredibly agitated. It swam to the coast, threw me off its back and started biting me. What does it mean? Aside from the fact I'm worried about the size of my penis.

I'll be that guy who is backstage, because there's no point going back into the auditorium as I'll have to immediately go back onstage and accept the next award.

The love here for Dream Theatre always muddles me, because I can't help but think "Aren't they the guys who do Life In A Northern Town" before I remember that was (the far superior) Dream Academy. Fave live album would have to be Billy Joel's Songs In The Attic, but only because Bananarama never put out a live album.

I'm pretty surprised not many people have figured out who this is. You've basically given it all away.
