Anybody who believes that anything old is crap and can't appreciate it. I've always found that extremely narrow-minded, how can you hate something just because of when it came out? I asked some of these people what they'll think of the music they currently like two years from now and they said they'll probably hate it because it's old. I just find that incredibly depressing.

Smarks EZBoard alumni roll call
spiny norman replied to The Czech Republic's topic in No Holds Barred
When did Rantsylvania become EZBoard? I'm not sure if I was around before the change or not. If so I am shocked and appalled, because I never really thought of myself as sticking to this place for so long without posting all that much at all. -
Smarks EZBoard alumni roll call

I joined as Spiny Norman in December 2000 and didn't post all that much. In fact, I've been here just short of three years and have probably accumulated only about 1000 posts in that entire time. God, I suck. -
My internet plan has given me a 1 GB limit for downloading, so I've never really tried to download a movie, but a lot of people I know seem to do it quite regularly and there's a couple of things I really want to download. I use WINMX for music downloads, and it seems to be counted by my server as a larger download than it's marked as. So, what I am asking is what would be the amount of bytes needed to download say one hour. Is there anywhere to download from which minimises the amount of megabytes needed for downloading, or should I just stick with WINMX? Any help would be appreciated.

I thought I voted on this already. Oh well. Psycho (1960) The Shining: The first really hard decision I've had all tourney. Halloween (choice) Night of the Living Dead (1968) Psycho vs. Shining final!

Evil Dead The Exorcist Friday the 13th (choice) Halloween (choice) Night of the Living Dead (1968) The Shining Psycho (1960) Alien TCM is winning against Alien!? Are you all nuts!? Alien, Psycho, Shining and Exorcist should be the final four and anything else is pretty silly really.

Nobody has ever died at their times at my school. In my first year, the school captain from the year before died of cancer, but that's the extent of it really. I can only ever think of 1.5 people being expelled in my school (the .5 because one guy was allowed to come back to sit the final exam, but not allowed to attend the classes before it). It's the second best school in my state, mind you. And it sucks, because everyone is so freaking nerdy. It's like going to a private school, except without the good facilities.

I just tried this site now. It is 39% evil, 61% good. We are getting eviller, so it would appear.

I watched Season One and picked it being Nina about 45 minutes in, so it's not that big a spoiler in my opinion.

What were some concert events you attended
spiny norman replied to OldSchoolWrestling's topic in Music
Last night I saw Prince live. Absolutely awesome. He started 90 minutes late, but the crowd was *hot* and Prince just lapped it all up and gave us a great show where everyone just really enjoyed themselves. It didn't have the flashiness of Prince's concerts in the past, but his band was so well-oiled and the interaction between Prince and the audience was awesome. Also, Tuesday night, performing at the ARIA Awards was awesome. Backstage, you could hear how loud the crowd was and it was extremely nerve-wracking. But once you got out there it was such a high that you forgot the nerves and just wished for this moment to last forever. -

I doubt this will mean all that much to anybody outside of Australia, but after Flying Dutchman's (I think it was Flying Dutchman? Or Czech Republic. One of those European guys at any rate) stint with Maynard Ferguson, I figured I'd post this anyway. The ARIA Awards are a massive Music Award ceremony in Australia. John Farnham, who those from overseas may know from The Little River Band (the dark spot of his career), is getting a Lifetime Achievement Award and shall perform his biggest hit, You're The Voice. As a bagpiper, I shall play the bagpipe part of his song, along with the bagpipe part of Long Way To The Top by ACDC. I doubt this means much to anyone, but I wanted to share it as it is quite exciting for me. Silverchair, Kylie Minogue and Baz Lurhmann should all be there, and I hope to meet one of them. I had a rehearsal today, and it is extremely exciting for me. So, if anybody does care, feel free to discuss and inflate my ego. For those who do not know John Farnham I reccommend downloading some of his music, as it is quite awesome. And don't let The Little River Band thing turn you off.

Harold Holt, maybe?

I'm about to go now. I see that his lack of fame in the Northern Hemisphere is destroying the popularity of this thread, but I may just let everyone know how it went. This is kind of like the Grammies for Australia. I'm suprised no Australians have responded to this.

I have just dropped Maths for my final year of High School. My last three tests were 3%, 5% and 19%, and though it does appear I am improving, I fear the improvement is not enough. I am downright bad at Maths. And I did not use a calculator for this test. How the hell did I get 10/10? I failed Years 8 maths (along with every year after that).

I saw Bruce Springsteen earlier this year. The power went out half a dozen times, but he went for three and a half hours and persisted until the power remained on. He is indeed The Boss, even ten years past his prime. I'm seeing Prince in eight days, so I'll get back to you with that one. -
I loathe Celine Dion, except for Think Twice which I think is a really good song, but that depresses me. Cher is great until her late 90s revival stint. But seriously, you should be cautious of these types of threads, as they can be seen as flamebaiting. I love Madonna and Kylie Minogue, but if I had a thread devoted to it I would know that there would be negative reactions from most on this board.

Plus "Their just isn't enough talent to go around" shows a blatant disregard for correct spelling.

Come on, everyone here has gotten above 100 quite easily. Is this board truly so above average intelligence. I am under the impression this IQ test is really stupid. Ironic, really.
-
135. I love how everyone on this board so far is so intelligent. It also says I'm a Visual Mathematician, which is incredibly wrong. But that IQ test was kind of stupid, some of the questions were subjective and someone with a different mindset would do badly regardless of their intellect. And no I'm not just pissed off because I'm the lowest so far. Okay, I am, but that's because I'm obviously more intelligent but this test failed to detect that, thus rendering it crappy.

Yes, Life Of Brian is indeed their best. I don't know why people commonly say Holy Grail is better, as it cannot touch the infinite brilliance that is Life Of Brian.
