Mate, I don't even need to specify who in that picture I actually am and I'm better looking than the majority of this board.

It's released in Australia on something like the 26th of January. No idea if you'll be here then, but just thought I'd let you know.
-
The first thing that I thought when I saw this thread was KISS.
-
Pet Shop Boys, Supertramp, Talking Heads.

No, that's fairly true. I'll come back another day.

What the hell consitiutes a "cameo"
spiny norman replied to Steve J. Rogers's topic in Television & Film
Seeing you're mentioning Duvall's before-he-was-famous appearance in To Kill A Mockingbird, I must point out Jeff Goldblum and Sigourney Weaver in Annie Hall are great for moments of "What the!? Was that who I thought it was?" -
The rest of what you had to say makes me think you're a bit of a weirdo, but the fact they are both from Queensland is not really that big a thing. Queensland is Australia's third largest state population-wise (I'm imagining, and if I'm wrong don't correct me. What I'm basically saying is there are a lot of people from Queensland. Now if he was from Mt. Isa, on the other hand...)

I would have said Before Sunset, but he said ignored by critics and audiences, and I recall the critics really praising that film. But it definitely was extremely good. Anyway, my pick would be the Lars Von Trier film Dogville, with Nicole Kidman and Paul Bettany. Extremely good and interesting movie which didn't do well in the box office, and the critics were fairly polarised with it.

those three good bands of course being the arcade fire, the arcade fire and the arcade fire. You don't like Tears for Fears? Get the fuck outta here! Because not liking Tears For Fears is so much worse than not liking Bowie or REM? Honestly, of that lot I'd see Bowie, REM, Nine Inch Nails and PJ Harvey. Although all four are past their peak. There are others there I wouldn't mind either way seeing, but those would be the four things that would attract me to it. I still wouldn't go, anyway, given that three of those four have either toured here in the past six months or will tour here within the next six.

I've always loved the way Pink Floyd's Money starts. Don't get me wrong, it's the worst track on Dark Side Of The Moon. But I think it really has a great introduction, with the sound effects and then the bass line kicking in.

Yesterday I bought The Band's Music From Big Pink for $1. I shall never be presented with as great a bargain deal as that.

I really don't like Vertigo and actually dreaded this album and their new direction upon hearing it. I heard some of the album in a shop yesterday and it didn't sound anywhere near as bad, but I'm still very hesitant in picking it up because of how much I dislike Vertigo. I'd need to hear a second single to convince me.

Goodfellas is ahead of The Godfather, and Scarface ahead of Once Upon A Time In America. You're insane. That said, I voted The Godfather: Part II. And Miller's Crossing and The Untouchables should be on here ahead of Scarface, Casino and Mean Streets.

Her name is Ami, everybody. If you're going to make big deals about "lose" and "loose", Bob, you could at least spell her name right. Anyway, I think Julie and Twila (and Leanne too, I suppose) would be idiots to not join Chris and Scout in getting rid of Eliza and Ami. And I even got Ami in a sweeps competition. No idea why you're all talking about the hottest one there but not mentioning Julie, meanwhile.

Would you think less of me if I said yes?

I recall several years back, when Australia was playing a home game against Israel, a group unfurled a massive banner saying "Hitler was right". So it's not just the Europeans.
-
If any of you get done before me, I shall be mildly irked.
-
Well, I'm a little worried about my future. So any guidance as to what my future holds, whether it be good or bad, shall be very beneficial for me.

I think her death was incredibly tragic, and whoever did it was a disgusting person. Onto this death: I can understand why the soldier did kill the person. I think it's an absolutely horrible death, however, and is in breach of the Geneva Convention (he was wounded, unarmed, possibly a civilian). I understand the soldier had no way of knowing this at the time. I can see things from both sides here. I'm not going to say, however, "this soldier is a disgrace and needs to be courtmartialled", nor will I say "the man was obviously scum and deserved to die" because both sides are being as ignorant as the other. The military can judge him.

Atlantis has supposedly been found
spiny norman replied to MarvinisaLunatic's topic in Current Events
As did I. I guess we'll find things out soon enough. -
I was quite interested in reading this thread, but too many people have ruined it. I'm dreadfully disappointed. A true shame.

Maybe because he started the thread?

Holy Moley, that's 110%!!
