Clearing up a few things: First and foremost, Abilify is NOT an SSRI. And the side effects occur in a very small percentage of patients. They're simply required to list them in case they do occur, to cover their collective asses. As for educating myself rather than blindly trusting a doctor, I did months worth of research before even getting evaluated. Czech also seems to be under the impression that bipolar people only need drugs if they are a danger to other people or themselves. That's not true. And did you see the list of my symptoms? That's 9 years of that shit I've gone through. I've attempted suicide several times and have been in jail twice. Also, my ability to function has been highly inhibited. Through age 16, I displayed a high rate of self motivation and academic prowess. Now, I'm 24 years old and I live with my mom. I can't hold a job because, while half the time I'm a social fucking butterfly, the other half of the time, I'll shut myself off from all human communications- sometimes for weeks at a time (internet excluded, obviously). A couple years ago, I walked off a high paying 3rd shift job site at 2 A.M. during a smoke break and wandered the streets of downtown Riverside for hours, determined to never go back. Just an hour before, I was a motivated, quality employee with no desire to leave. Leo- I felt the need to share this here because of the way I have acted and what people know about my personal life on this board. And I have experienced no negative side effects other than drowsiness thus far.

Dandy, this is what I was referring to when I said I had something to say about your comment regarding me getting better at taking things on the board less seriously. This is a big reason- my treatment. And thank you. Czech, my family life is quite good at the moment. My stepdad's been out of the picture for 2 years (left while I was in Illinois and he was out here) so that huge problem has long been solved.

I got David Morrell's The Spy Who Came for Christmas for, well, Christmas. I read it in about 4 days, in 50 page sessions. Really good book, and highly recommended. I'm about to start on Generation Kill.

I've had my HD DVR for 2 and 1/2 weeks now, and I love it unconditionally. I'm watching so much shit (and a lot more sports) due to the shows being in high def. I have a 52" RCA rear projection, which friends said I would immediately want to upgrade from, but everything looks excellent. I can tell the difference between 1080i on my TV and 1080i on a plasma, but it's not enough to make me think, "Golly gee, I can't enjoy this without a better television." Still, I do find myself considering a purchase of a 60" plasma if I can pay it off before my gold card starts charging interest, so I guess they were partially right.

Pro tip: Never drink apple juice when hung over. Powerade/Gatorade, breakfast burrito, leftover pizza. All those things are good.

Apparently, the last time LA beat Tampa in LA was in November 1997. Tonight was another loss. The Lightning went up 3-0 not far into period 2 before the Kings decided to pull Ersberg. I think he hasn't fully healed yet, and I hope I'm right. If I'm wrong, then he's not who we thought he was, and that would suck. Quick didn't allow any goals, but we lost 3-1.
