    NHL - January 2009

Kings win 4-3 at home over Anaheim. LA took a 3-0 lead, 2 goals being scored on J.S. Giguere on two shots, 1 at the end of the 1st and one at the start of the 2nd- before he was pulled. Bobby Ryan scored 3 unanswered for Anaheim before Frolov knocked in the game winner. It looks like the Kings are going with Jonathan Quick in goal for now. Either that, or they're going to platoon him and Ersberg. I approve more of the latter possibility.

    Impact 1-8

Yes. Leave that shit to Hulk Hogan. Lethal Consequences, which it seems like they'll be using, would be like the 8th best tag team name ever.

    Impact 1-8

From the thread I created while you were making this one: "Don't put off until today, what you can do tomorrow." Good one, Nash. And Booker's, "We comin' for ya!" line reminded me of his embarrassing promo on Hulk Hogan from a decade and a half ago.

    TNA Impact- January 8th, 2009

Good match between Alex Shelley and Eric Young, although the ending sucked since it looked like Eric just let go of Shelley and ran into Sabin's interference rather than Shelley kicking out. I'm looking forward to the Guns' match for the X Division Championship. I'm also happy that they finally pulled the trigger on Glamour Boy Shane as a wrestler. While it's not hard to get oneself over as a face against Sheik Abdul Bashir, Shane has been drawing some loud cheers and should be successful in his new role.

    This week in the NBA

That'd be a travesty. I hate the Pacers, but love Granger. He's been huge for my fantasy team. I had never even heard of the guy before this season, and now he's an elite player in the league.
  7. Dandy- Tough call, but Dandy makes me laugh a lot. Both are very good posters in different ways. EHME- Mah nigga. Cheech- He's tremendous. Slayer- Not sure who Ortonsault is, and Slayer has his moments even though we don't get along. Kinetic- I still don't like voting against a fellow Packers fan, but Kinetic is one of the best. Matt Young- Me. Mellow- Bored's great in baseball talk, but Mellow's "Pictures I Like" give him the edge. Fazzle- Just a really cool dude. KOAB- Like Kinetic, one of the best. Smues- Likes hockey and video games. Pbone- Pretty hair. Agent- See Dandy. CanadianGuitarist- A good guy who enjoys hockey and gaming. Black Lushus- Mah nigga. King of the 909- Love both guys. Milky's a better poster than, well, everyone, so he doesn't need my help anyway. Besides, Kings fans, y'know. Vitamin X- Another hard choice, but I have to go with VX. I've actually talked to him and know him better.

    NHL - January 2009

I just watched the 3rd period of Habs/Rangers. I had to leave earlier. I've seen NYR play, but this was my first time, other than a few brief bits of HNIC, I've seen Montreal. No wonder they got 4 guys voted in as all-star starters. Sheesh.
  10. What was the other one besides the first round of this tournament, which I changed?

    Fallout 3

So I "splurged" and dropped $20 on the paperback guide. I am only 8 hours into the game, but I doubt I'll have time for a second playthrough due to now owning 65 games for my 360 with more on the way. The plan was to play tonight, but I feel compelled to read the parts about the stuff I already did, so tomorrow will be Fallout time.

    Left4Dead

Just ordered this from Wal-Mart.com with gift cards due to no stores here having it in stock for 2 weeks now. It's set to arrive between the 13th and the 16th.
  13. Huh? Left and right? There was only this tournament in which I could vote for you, and since I couldn't decide between you or Amnesia, I voted for Scottie Pippen. I don't care if you vote for Chris- and whoever does win between us will be raped by Kinetic- but what you said makes little sense.

At this rate, if Oklahoma loses tomorrow night, Damaramu is going to have a meltdown.

    NHL - January 2009

OH HELL YEAH! I thought I'd only be going to 1 Kings game this year, but it turns out I will get to see 5 more! My friend called just now saying he got 4 tickets each to 5 games, for a total of $286. I only have to miss 1 Reign game, too. The Kings games are as follows: Monday, January 12: Tampa Bay Lightning Saturday, February 14th: Edmonton Oilers Saturday, February 21st: Phoenix Coyotes Monday, March 9th: Vancouver Canucks Saturday, April 11th: San Jose Sharks I'm fucking stoked.

WWE General Discussion - January 2009

If that's a repost (and I've never seen it posted here) then that's my first one ever. Not only was it a repost, but it was a repost of a repost. http://forums.thesmartmarks.com/index.php?showtopic=93425 Ah... I hadn't read that topic. That explains things.

You can get Saints Row 2 for $40 and GTA IV for $30. Both are great, but very different, takes on a genre. Why not get both? Alternatively, you could buy the first Saints for dirt cheap.

    NHL - January 2009

Yeah. All the World Junior games, and obviously HNIC, are branded with the TSN logo. But to answer your question, Twiggs, anyone (at least in America) who's not a Rangersfan, Habs fan, or someone who watches the NHL Network often would likely not know about the broadcast.

    Did anybody get a PSP?

The Sony PlayStation Portable was released at 12:01 A.M. today. Thousands of wealthy gamers and tech-heads rushed out to buy the system, with many more no doubt set to purchase it later today. I have little doubt that I'll get the system in the future. Although I don't have much use for portable systems, I'm a game collector and I enjoy a good game no matter what the system. For that reason, I will pick up a PSP (and DS) someday. However, there have already been a couple design problems reported as it pertains to the $250 machine. There have been problems with discs popping out unexpectedly and the square button "sticking" on the Japanese versions of the system, although those problems have supposedly been fixed for the U.S. release. Now, though, there are hundreds of people reporting problems with dead pixels on the PSP's LCD screen, along with dust under the screen itself. I know Sony doesn't have the best track record when it comes to new hardware, but such things are inexcusable. In one poll, only 36% of respondents reported having no dead pixels. That's 64%, or nearly 2/3, that did have the problem. Understand that I am not trying to bash the PSP. I want it to succeed. I'm simply reporting what's been said so far. If any of you bought or played a PSP, let us know. For now, I shalt venture to GameFAQs for more related reading.

    This week in the NBA

Just finished watching the Lakers game off the DVR. It is both a blessing and a curse when both the Lakers and the LA Kings play on the same night, because I end up spending 5 and 1/2 to 6 hours in front of the TV just for those two games. Once again, the Lakers blew their lead in the 4th, but this time, they didn't recover and the Hornets won. New Orleans, meanwhile, has been looking more and more like the team that took the Lakers to the last game of the season over the 1 seed in the Western Conference last year. David West was beastly with 40 and 11, while Kobe had 39 for the Lakers. The Bulls also beat the Kings, but of course, I didn't get to see it. Next Bulls game I'll see is a week from Thursday on TNT when they play the Cavs. Speaking of the Cavs, how odd is it that they can beat most any team, yet they lost to lowly Washington after barely scraping by them last time around on Christmas day?

http://www.xbox360fanboy.com/2009/01/06/sc...el-coming-soon/ This sounds like what games.com has/had. I love Scrabble and Sorry!, so playing on my Xbox would be fun. Battleship is okay, too.

    Netflix

I only get 1 disc at a time on Netflix, but I watched Evil Dead and Driving Miss Daisy back to back on instant streaming.
