I've got all three. I prefer DD slightly over the original, and both are better than MK64, although that is a great game in its own right. Can't really explain other than it's just a personal preference.

going 7-2 for the rest of the season would be an incredible daunting task for the Packers (Pit, ATL, PHI, CHI, DET, BALT, CHI, SEA)...I can see maybe 4 wins out of that stretch. 7-9 could be enough to win out the NFC North. I wouldn't put hopes on it. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Oh, I don't expect it to happen, but I can always hope. They came back from 1-4 last year and won it at 10-6, so coming back from 1-6 to win it at 8-8 or 7-9 is improbably but not impossible. Sure, the team is severely depleted, but they don't have much in the way of competition.

My top 5, in no particular order (although SMB 3 is certainly #1): Super Mario Bros. 3 Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door Super Mario World Mario Kart: Double Dash Mario and Luigi: The Superstar Saga I never owned Yoshi's Island or Super Mario RPG, and Mario 64was very good but very overrated.

Wait just a goddamn minute... The Tolands debuted on Smackdown a few weeks back. Then the following week, Palmer Canon mentioned them in his NTI speech with Teddy Long by that same name. Then last week on Velocity, they were "unknown superstars".... and now they're James and Chad Dick? What the hell.

The Packers lost to a damn good Bengals team by just 7 points, and aside from their opening week loss, 14-3 at Detroit, they have lost byno more than 3 points up until this week. They could easily be 5-2 or maybe 6-1 witha few breaks, and they're doing really well considering they're without their best receiver, Javon Walker, their best running back, Ahman Green, Najeh Davenport, and others. With those guys, they'd have a much better record, but even without, they're barely losing. In the sorry NFC North, they could still win the division at 8-8. Still, it hurts to see them lose so often...

I'm not sure of the source since someone posted these on the GamingRing forum and I got the images from there, but here are the first images of Mario 3 on 3 Basketball for the DS: I hadn't heard about this one, but it figures they'd make this... They've done every other sport, save football and hockey. Luckily, they've been done well. Also, on a related note, to those who may be interested, Super Mario Strikers (soccer) tops even Smash Bros. as the best 4 player game on the Cube.

Good thing I reminded you. Man... I'm tops in the conference but ineligible due to Verizon being shit-tastic in hooking me up with internet service. Bullocks, I say.

Good work on the musical aspect fo Good Riddance, but, without trying to sound mean, those vocals need a lot of work. Still, props to you for having the courage to make your music public.

See this is the thing that I hate more about Jarrett than anything else, including his stale promos claiming he's King of the Mountain. It's the finishes of his matches. They end with one or all of the following: ref bumps, guitar shots, run-ins, non-sensical turns. Thing is, because Jarrett is a heel, it's acceptable that he wins in cheating fashion. Problem is, he won't lay down clean and when he jobs, it's just as screwy as his wins. However, the face doesn't get over that way. (case in point, Jarrett jobbing to AJ in June because Tito Ortiz beat Jarrett, not AJ) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> And that is a major failing of TNA right now. Jarrett shound win more matches clean and more importantly, lose clean too. During the ending of the title match, I was wondering if I was time-warping back to WCW when Jarrett had the title. I'm not saying that he has to win every match without interference or the obligatory guitar shot, but hell, he shouldn;t win every match WITH them, either. Don Muraco was one of the nastiest heels of his time and he didn't win by outside interference all of the time. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> But in WCW (when I actually liked Jarrett a lot) he never held the title for long. His reigns, and yes, I remember these, were 8 days, 8 days again, 1 day and approximately 1 and a half months. EDIT: You guys (mostly Coffey) are talking about Jarrett getting DQ'ed to keep the title if he gets it back, etc. Doesn't TNA havea rule that a title changes hands on a disqualification?

Well, before Comcast Sports Net came into existence, we didn't get all the games... at least not in Springfield. Maybe you guys did up north.

Two Stars Suffer Serious Injuries at RAW
Matt Young replied to QuestionMan's topic in The WWE Folder
That's only been the case since his return in spring 2004. He was obviously juicing, and that probably contributed to it. -
Well lady and gentlemen, it's about time for the annual Toys R Us buy 2 get 1 free sale. The sale applies only to PS2, Xbox, and GameCube games. Unfortunately, PSP, DS, and GBA games (and I wanted quite a few DS and GBA games) are not included. Basically, you buy 2 games, and get1 game of equal or lesser value free. Buy 2 $50 games, get a $50 game free. Buy 2 Platinum Hits/Greatest Hits games at $20 a pop, get a $20 game free. Simple enough, eh? I know some people here are aware of the sale, but I wanted to let everyone else know. This is a great chance to catch up on titles you've missed outon over the past year, and to save big on some of the stellar recent releases. If only they did this at the end of November... but hey, I can think of at least 6 games I want just for the Xbox right now. I hope you all are able to take advantage of this and find what you are looking for. Good luck!

Two Stars Suffer Serious Injuries at RAW
Matt Young replied to QuestionMan's topic in The WWE Folder
Was that sarcasm or are we going to take this thread in another direction? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I've always liked him as a wrestler. He was really cool to me when I met him, even if he is a horrible friend and husband. -

Jesus tapdancing Christ. I hope neither injury is serious. I'm not a huge Kane fan, but it'd suck to see him Kevin Nash his return. I love Edge... good wrestler, even better person.... so I hope he's not out for long. At least now we know why, following that spot, the triple threat match went from pretty good to horrible, botch filled mess. -
It's not like either one of them has been doing anything other than squashing jobbers and low carders on Heat anyway. Works for me.

They've looked good, yes, but we'll see. Phil can only do so much. Kobe's great, no doubt, but unless Odom and Kwame Brown step up their game from last year (which they look to be doing, but it is only preseason) they will run into trouble. Also, the T'Wolves went 44-38 last year and that wasn't good enough to earn them a playoff berth, so 45 wins may not be worth much... Still, although I'm not a fan (a Phil and Kobe fan, yes... Lakerfan, no) I'll be watching a lot of their games this year because, well, it's either them or the Clippers. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I just noticed that EVERY SINGLE LAKER GAME will be televised. All 82. That's insane. We never got that luxury with the Bulls in Illinois. But hey, as I said... I might not bea fan, but I do like Phil and Kobe, and this will be a great opportunity to watch a young team develop.

The PTI guys think he missed those to hustle for more cash by nailing the 50 yarder when no one expected him to do so.

A look ahead towards college basketball...
Matt Young replied to therealworldschampion's topic in Sports
Here's to hoping Illinois will return to the title game and win this year. I'm also interested to see if UCLA's any good, since I'll be gettingalot of their games locally. -
I was wondering that myself. If only I could afford to attend SD this Sunday in LA... Anyway, here's how I voted: 1. Shawn Michaels 2. Rey Mysterio (with JBL being my 2nd choice) 3. Steel Cage 4. Street Fight 5. Dude Love 6. Leather and Lace 7. Hacksaw Duggan

I want to go to Smackdown on Sunday in LA or Raw in Anaheim on Monday, but I can't. WWE comes around here every 4 months or so, but it's always when I can't make the trip to the arena. Fuck.

As I said, I'm not a rap expert by any means, and I couldn't even name a lot of the rappers I like. I mainly hear the good stuff on DirecTV's Music Choice channels via the Music Choice mixtapes, and a bunch of random MC's that are heard while in my friends' cars or at their homes. I'm often not sober enough to recall their names or, more often, I never learn them in the first place. As far as mainstream rappers go, the only ones that come to mind that I really like are Dre, Eminem (aside from Encore), D12, Jay-Z, Outkast, Kanye West, old NWA (as fi there's any other kind), Tupac, Public Enemy, Run-DMC, Rev. Run's new solo work, Ludacris, and... That's all that comes to mind right now. I also like Mike Shinoda's new project, Fort Minor, even though real rap fans will make fun of me for that.

So the Hornets are now officially known as the "New Orleans/Oklahoma City Hornets"? Hmm...
