God damn. I know Cassell wasn't happy in Minnesota, but that was a shitty move. Seems like every time the T'Wolves start looking really good, they fall apart. Now they've gone from 1 seed to missing the playoffs, and followed that up by signing guys like Mark fucking Madsen to 5 year deals and traded Sam Cassell for a guy who only averaged 8 PPG playing for the fucking Clippers. Well, at least it will add some interest to the Clippers/T'Wolves game I hope to attend at Staples this upcoming season...

I saw 311 live at the 2004 Warped Tour. They used to be one of my favorite bands, but ever since Soundsystem, their music has gone waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay downhill. It's not bad, but it's nowhere near as good as Soundsystem, Transistor, the blue album, etc. before it.

Didn't see that yesterday. I actually party less now due to work and the fact that a few "good" friends whom I hung out with regularly turned out to be bitches. I do drink more often, however, since I can buy alcohol whenever I want. Anyway, I started btoh a franchise and a superstar season yesterday, but couldn't finish a game on either because I was so tired. I started up the franchise since I wanted to play as the Packers, and in Superstar, I was drafted in the 3rd round, pick 11 to the Cardinals as an 85 rated QB who knocked Kurt Warner out of the starting position. One final thing- Has anyone else had problems with the downloaded roster? The save became corrupted on my Xbox, so I deleted it, and now every time I re-download it, it's still corrupted.

The article says that the husband is her bass player, not her manager. Not sure how old he is, though. What a crappy 2,000th post.

I'm liking the game so far. It doesn't seem as good as NFL 2K5, but I can't fairly compare the two yet since I have been so busy with work and Melissa that I have literally only had time for 2 games- A 37-0 thrashng of the Bears on Rookie and a 36-10 win over the Chargers in a re-enactment of the Packers' first preseason game (on Pro). The passing game seems a lot easier in Madden. In 2K5, I couldn't even complete half my passes a lot of the time with Brett Favre. I'm loving the new passing cone, by the way. At the same time, the running game seems much more difficult. I haven't played franchise or online yet, which will be the true test of the game. If Melissa can't go out tonight after getting in trouble for being way too drunk last night, I'll stay home, relax, and play some more Madden.

Fuck if I know. I only played MLB in online leagues. The game was horrible compared to MVP, and I traded it in long ago. I just got home from work and now I can FINALLY play my first game of Madden before ehading out for some beers.

Yeah, so I found it in a drawer and threw it on. I remember getting it for Christmas in 1995, during the Bulls' historic 72-10 season. I was 11 years old, and pretty fat. It totally fits me now, as do the Alonzo Mourning (Heat), Grant Hill (Pistons), Kevin Garnett (Wolves), and Tim Duncan (Wake Forest) jerseys I got for my 13th birthday in 1997.

Why in God's name would he try to remove it with a hacksaw? That's just begging for trouble.

I just woke up, hung over, and received a call informing me that I start my new job tomorrow morning. Just now, my mom walked in with my new copy of Madden, which she picked up on her way home during her lunch break. Gotta go play on my last day of freedom!

I got $12 credit for SFAC and $8 for Sonic Heroes, surprisingly enough. That, combined with the deal reducing the price to $30 and my total $28 credit (I already had 8) meant that I paid just over $3.50 for Madden, lol. I won't be able to get it til tomorrow, however.

I was just wondering if anyone else would be staying up to watch the first NFL preseason game between the Falcons and Colts, live from Tokyo, Japan, at 5 AM Eastern/2 AM Pacific on ESPN2. Sure, there's a replay later in the day, but I have to see the game live, sleep be damned. I missed football so much.

Yeah, I like you less now. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Third Strike is very good, but the actual Anniversary Edition of SFII is horribly cheap on single player, and I'm not good enough to do well online. I've barely played the game since I bought it in February. HBK, first off, relax man. I said you were a good guy, which I feel you are, but Black Lushus is also a really cool dude. Please just stop this stupid bickering. Well, we already know what is in Madden 06, so no. Honestly, NFL 2K5 was close to the perfect football game for me. There aren't a whole lot of innovations that can be made in this type of game- at least not major ones. I'm sure if I gave it some thought, I could come up with a few things, but the one big feature I'd like to see in an NFL game is an online franchise. Not just a league, but a franchise.

Even though I hated both men with a passion when they debuted, I've grown to like Snitsky and Masters and I'd really like to see them take the tag belts off Hurricane and Rosey.

Any word on whether or not Jericho is for sure leaving right after SummerSlam? Ditto Hogan. The presence of those 2 could make a world of difference for this card.

Detroit is the one city I've ever been in that I was legitimately scared to walk around in. Maybe it was just the area around the Greyhound station that was bad, though (I had a 2 hour layover).

To be fair, while HBK may not be too great at typing or spelling, he actually comes across as an intelligent guy and is pretty cool to talk to. He'll also kick most people's "ass wholes" () on any of his many Xbox Live games. I know that on a message board, how a person types is very important, but I still have to defend the guy. Back to Madden... I'm going to GameRush today to pre-order. I'm trading in Sonic Heroes and Street Fighter Anniversary Collection, 2 shitty games which I never play, and the deal is that I can pre-order a game for $29.99. Also, the credit for those 2 games is subtracted from the $29.99, and that combined with my $20 gift certificate means I pretty much pay nothing out of pocket.

Has this game been advertised at all? I'm sure it has somewhat, but while I had heard about the game due to Edgerrin James' initial reluctance to make the trip, I had no idea that it was on tonight/this morning/whatever until Wilbon briefly mentioned it on PTI.
