Fuck yeah. Stephen A. Smith rarely ceases to be entertaining.

I shouldn't be the one to start this thread, really, but whatever. Killer 7 was one of the famed "Capcom 5" GameCube exclusives (most of which turned out not to be exclusive, K7 included) that also consisted of P.N. 03, Resident Evil 4, Dead Phoenix, and Viewtiful Joe, I believe. While VJ and RE4 were awesome, Dead Phoenix was canceled and P.N. 03 was, by all accounts, a flop. I had been greatly anticipating Killer 7 for a long time. The story, graphics, and gameplay seemed like a refreshing change from the norm. Then came E3. I played the demo of Killer 7, and it was atrocious. The graphics looked like something a kindergartner puked up after eating a box of crayons, the gameplay was disgustingly boring, and I couldn't judge the story since I couldn't make any progress in the game. This killed nearly all the enthusiasm I had for the game. Now the reviews are coming out, and most are mediocre, falling into the 5-7 out of 10 range. The game won't be out til Tuesday in the US, that people who have imported either love it or hate it, with 75% of the accounts I've read being on the "hate it" side. I had hoped that the final version would be decent-good, but I'm rapidly losing faith. I'll rent the game when it comes out (something I rarely do) but I'm not too optimistic. Is anyone else here anticipating the game still, and has anyone played the import version?

Booker T was never a favorite of mine, but he was pretty good in WCW. He has declined greatly since 2003, however. Aside from a few matches here and there, I haven't seen a really good match from him (not to say they were bad, just mediocre) since his series with Christian over the IC belt. Yes, I liked that series.

Oh yeah. Zip ups are the way to go. I wouldn't want to mess up my perfectly spiked hair.

Zack Malibu. Pink is fine, but the popped collar look is just stupid looking to me. I don't judge people who sport it, but it's not my thing. Actually, a guy named "Prime Time Playa" who wrestles in what used to be my local indy fed before I moved dresses like that.

Catherine the Great was quite the trendsetter, eh?

Can't forget hoodies. When it gets chilly, but not cold enough for my leather jacket (out here in California, it rarely gets too cold at night) I'll throw on a hoodie. The ones I have look good on me and make me appear to not be as sickly skinny as I truly am.

I just caught the last inning of the Milwaukee/Washington game. That's the first time in my 10 or so years of watching baseball that I have seen a game end with a run being driven in via a balk, or as the announcers called it, a "balk-off" (walk-off balk).

I mostly wear jeans and a t-shirt with my black Vans, although I do dress up nicely on occasion. I don't wear shorts despite the 100+ degree weather, because I have shortish, skinny legs. Most of my clothes are black or blue, and I wear a lot of band shirts. I do make sure that the clothes I do wear are in good condition, and I am very meticulous about my appearance, especially my hair, if I'm leaving the house. But still, most of my clothes don't even fit me anymore since I've lost weight.

I have.

I meant that the other members insult each other. What's wrong with introducing oneself? I can't even remember what my first post was. I posted randomly in various forums, but not too often. This was back at the old boards. The only time I was noticed (before the Ashlee avatar deal) was when I got 40 or so replies to a topic where I posted pics of myself dressed as The Hurricane at a WWF house show in October 2001.

*Goes to download* I won't pay more than $10 for any CD.

Why does every "introduction" thread turn into an exchange of petty insults? Welcome to the board, wood.

Use it to pay for wrestling training or some nice musical equipment, if you're interested in either of those things.

I've owned the original album since it was released, and I still listen to it on occasion. I don't own any other Alanis albums, but JLP is really good. How much is the acoustic version going for at Starbucks?

I liked the EA Sports Bio. It kept track of all EA games I played, although there weren't many. I know it was in NCAA 2004 and 2005, but if I recall correctly, it was not in Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2005 or MVP Baseball 2005. I'll have to check.

Yeah, I'm seriously considering waiting so that i can enjoy NCAA 2005 and the many other games I haven't spent much time with while at the same time saving my precious $50. I may still get Madden next month, though. My main concerns are losing interest in college ball by the time Christmas (and the end of the season) comes around, as well as the possibility that NCAA 2005 may be dead online soon, and by the time Christmas arrives, 2006 could be dead, too.

Man, I've got the itch for NCAA football. I couldn't sleep unless I played another game of 2005. In my UCLA dynasty, the Bruins improved to 2-0 following a 50-0 thrashing of my favorite (in basketball, at least) and hometown school, the University of Illinois. I'm not sure whether to crank up the difficulty or not. I'm getting the hang of the game, but I still was beaten when I played as a top team against another top team earlier. I'm thinking the only reason I'm winning so easily with #50 ranked UCLA is because I've faced one mediocre team and one shitty team. This all makes me really want 2006 even more, but why spend my last $50 on a new game when this "old" one is bringing me so much fun? If only the game cost $30 or so. That's about how much yearly sports games should cost. I used to have no problem dropping $60 of rare Christmas money on Super Nintendo NBA Live games as a kid, but for some reason I choose not to pay that much nowadays.

Can I join as Illinois?

Hey bravesfan, did you move or something? You were gone for a while, and I don't remember you living in Hawaii before. Thanks for all the info, guys. The improvements make me really want NCAA 2006. I was playing 2005 today, and at first I thought it sucked and I couldn't do well. After a few games, I started playing decently and I'm loving the game. I'm not sure how it compares to NCAA 2004 or NFL 2K5 since I haven't played either in so long, but it's a great game. This leaves me with a dilemma. On one hand, playing 2005 makes me really, really want NCAA 2006. However, at the same time, I got 2005 for free and have barely scratched the surface of the game. I just started a dynasty with UCLA and beat Oklahoma State 24-12. I have a lot left to do on 2005, and I never even completed a season on 2004. The Live factor is a big reason I want to get 2006. I went online with 2005, and the servers still work... but one person was on. Fuck that. However, I got a bunch of sports games with the intention of playing on Live, but with the exception of league play for NBA, NFL, and MLB 2K5, I haven't played online much. MVP Baseball, I've only played online once. I'd play more, and I want to, but I have a short attention span. One last note- Madden is set to be released in August. I prefer the NFL to the NCAA, and if NFL 2K5's servers are shut down, I'll need to buy Madden. I've also heard that everyone stops playing NCAA online once Madden in released. Then again, even if I do get Madden, it'd be nice to have a draft class ready... Those things, the fact that the game is $50, and the fact that I (A) have other games out now I really want, and (B) vowed not to spend any more money on games until I play through the 10-15 titles that are either unopened, or the more prominent case, games that I have only played a few hours into. What to do?

Velocity should be good, and 2 of the matches on Smackdown- the 6 man and Booker/Christian- look promising.

Directions For Seemingly Directionalless Wrestlers
Matt Young replied to ChrisMWaters's topic in The WWE Folder
Christian has never held the United States Championship, either. (I won't even mention the Women's.... oops, I just did.) -
I was considering buying this game even though I still have unplayed games and very little money, but I'm not so sure that it'd be worth the full $50. I already own NCAA 2004 for GameCube. I loved that game. I got NCAA 2005 with my Xbox but I've maybe played 3-4 games on it since November due to owning the excellent NFL 2K5. I decided to try playing NCAA 2005 today and I couldn't get into it. It was difficult and frustrating. Maybe I just haven't given it enough time, though. I'm impatient right now. I have a couple questions: 1. Is this game, in your opinion, worth $50 for someone in my situation? The game won't drop in price until close to the time NCAA 2007 is released, so if I get it, I may as well get it now and enjoy the huge Xbox Live community. There must be improvements in the overall and offline gameplay, though. 2. Speaking of online, will NCAA 2005 still be playable on Xbox Live? 3. Gamespot's review said something along the lines of "This game's controls and feel will bring back warm memories of NCAA 2004 for series verterans." Is it true that the game is as fun as (or moreso than) NCAA 2004?

I'm watching Raw now.

After Steve Nash's NBA MVP award, Jason Bay reminded me that most Canadians suck at sports except for hockey and pro wrestling.
