Yeah, what is the deal with that? Mine has that logo, yet I bought the game a weerk after its release. And please, don't bring up the Game Informer review. They're usually a good magazine, but that pissed me off. I love the Paper Mario games. Part 1 got me into RPGs, and PM2 is the second best game on the GameCube after Tales of Symphonia. It's an awesome 30-35 hour adventure. It's well worth $50, so at this price, you can't go wrong.

I decided to start a new thread with the pictures so they wouldn't get lost in the shuffle in the E3 thread. I have all of the pictures from days 1 and 2 uploaded, so the only ones missing are of Link and Shigeru Miyamoto from day 3. If you have any questions or comments about any of the pictures, just reply here. Also, if you haven't done so yet, read about my experiences at E3 in the E3 thread itself. I haven't written about day 3 yet since I've been uploading all the pictures and I've had to do some other things, but days 1 and 2 were more interesting anyway. My pictures from E3

Outlandish Things you'll probably never see

I'm like a lot of people. I used to loathe Bradshaw and I was literally sick to my stomach when he beat Eddie for the title, but around Survivor Series, I started warming up to the guy. Since then, I have accepted him as a main eventer, and eventually as WWE Champion. His improvement (overall, not specifically in-ring) has bene astronomical. I still wish he would have used a kayak again in Sunday's I Quit match.

I want to be locked in a recording studio with Agent of Oblivion, a variety of musical instruments and related equipment, and an unlimited supply of alcohol and hallucinogenic drugs, and see what happens.

You know, if E3 hadn't already ended, I would've thought this was yet another new Mario game (I love 'em all, though).

EDIT: Oops, double post.

Yeah, that's Curse. Dawn of Sorrow is also a new CV game, for DS though, and honestly looks like it will be the better game. Legacy of Darkness on N64 > Lament of Innocence on PS2 What was the coolest/weirdest thing on the giant Katamari? You add anything to it? What'd they use to keep it on, velcro? I'm not sure what they used as adhesive, but I saw a condom on there. Anyway, I updated my Photobucket gallery with the efw pics from day 3, including Miyamoto checking out the Sony booth.

Now that's an angle I wouldn't mind seeing them recycle. Dawn's no Beulah, and Hiroko is no Kimona, but they're the best available substitutes on the roster.

INDEED.

The KROQ Weenie Roast is coming up on May 21st in LA and I really want to go. I don't have the $60, however (I know, you've all heard that story from me before). Is anyone else going or has anyone been to the show in years past? The lineup looks fantastic: Audioslave Foo Fighters Hot Hot Heat Interpol Jimmy Eat World The Killers My Chemical Romance MxPx Queens of the Stone Age KROQ Budweiser Stage Two Special Appearance-Mars Volta Alkaline Trio Bloc Party The Bravery Dead 60's The Transplants Plus, Open Air Stereo Those are all bands I really like, with the exceptions of Interpol (shitty), Bloc Party (only heard 1 song), Dead 60's and Open Ait Stereo (never heard of either).

I'm perpetually broke. After seeing all the TV shows and the hubbub at E3, and now this, I am convinced that I need to learn how to play poker well.
-
Akio vs. Nunzio is next on Heat. Should be decent, and it's nice to see continuity from their tag match on Velocity.
-
Okay, thanks for clearing that up. I did see that match.

I don't know who to pick, but I hope Phoenix wins since I've been following them (although I wouldn't call myself a true "fan") ever since they acquired Jason Kidd way back in the day. They're also far more exciting than the Spurs. Spurs/Pistons would be the worst Finals of all-time. I wouldn't even watch it, and I haven't missed the NBA Finals since I started watching basketball in 1993.

Wait... The original post states that MNM lost to Holly and Haas in a non-title match. When did this happen? I don't recall MNM ever losing, although Hardcore Holly did pin Joey Mercury in a singles match. Also, Chavo/London was indeed confirmed on last night's Velocity.

I have small hands, so I'm more concerned about being able to see what's happening on that tiny little screen. Pictures don't even do it justice. It's like one of those little keychain games.

I just woke up, so I'll finally post my day 3 report a little later on (I decided to wait for the final few pics to be uploaded, and I've been somewhat busy) and I'll answer any questions about any of the games, assuming I played them. I missed out on some since there were too many people crowding them and I was sick of waiting in lines. I'm 99% sure that Curse of Darkness is the new Castlevania for PS2. If so, I didn't play it. I wanted to, but there were a ton of people waiting to play in Sony's booth. Konami showed videos, most notably MGS 4, but they didn't really have a "booth" with playable games. Honestly, I didn't spend much time in Sony's area at all since I don't have a PS2, but the PSP was well represented. That photograph of the big PSP logo was the area where they had the system playable. They actually had an upper and lower level with swivel chairs that had PSPs attached to them with various games. I'd say they had about 40-50 PSP systems in that area. The DS was much better represented, however.

Eh, I like to keep about 2 days' worth of facial hair. Trust me, most agree that I look better like that than I do when I'm clean-shaven. I look like I'm mentally handicapped in the Edge picture. No chance in hell, Patrick. Feel free to make it your avatar, though. Thanks for the compliment on the pictures. I'm not much of a photographer, but I did what I could. The camera is pretty much a starter level digicam, so some pictures, such as the staircase, ended up out of focus and blurry, but most turned out okay. I pretty much hate how I look in most of the pics I appear in, though. I'm very uncomfortable in front of a camera, and it shows since I look worse than normal.

I just realized that the links only show thumbnails. You can view the full size pics by visiting my Photobucket album, pages 2 and 3.

I was at E3 again today. WWE Diva Stacy Keibler was set to sign autographs at noon. I was more intered in meeting fellow WWE star Edge, of whom I've been a fan since he was wrestling as Sexton Hardcastle in the Canadian independents. I got in line, and I ended up meeting Stacy. They were rushing people through the line, so everyone got a simple, "Hello/Thank you" and an autographed photo. Whatever. I got in line for Edge, around 12:30, half an hour before he was set to sign. I spent a while talking about wrestling and Star Wars: Episode III with some folks from Boston before an usher informed us that, due to her arriving late and Edge not showing up yet, Stacy would pose for quick pictures with people. Of course, I had to get one of those. After the photo-op, I circled the THQ booth in order to reclaim my place in line to meet Adam Copeland, AKA Edge. On the way back, I heard a familiar voice behind me. I turned around... and there was Edge with a couple escorts! I greeted him and he responded, and I walked down the hallway next to him, although he was talking over something with his guys. Once I got in there and got to shake Edge's hand, he was very friendly. A true class act toward the fans, regardless of his treatment of his friends. I got to shake the hand that fingered Lita. Now I've got herpes. Thanks, Adam. Just kidding. He signed and personalized my copy of his autobiography and threw in a signed photo on top of that. We posed for a pic, and I look like crap because my eyes were closed. The reason why is because Edge made me laugh. Here's how it went down: Edge: "You know, now I can tell all the boys on Monday that I got to meet a TV star at E3." Me: "What do you mean?" Edge: "Hasn't anyone ever told you that you bear a striking resemblance to Bud Bundy?" So I guess that makes it official, since Edge said it. I do look like Bud Bundy from Married With Children. Pictures should be uploaded by tomorrow.
-
Oh, that's cool... and you're welcome. I hope you get to meet him yourself someday. You all may now proceed with making fun of how I look in the picture with Edge.
-
Well, I brought my copy of Edge's book and got him to sign it ("To Matt, Edge/Adam Copeland"- he signed both names). He also threw in the standard autographed picture that he gave everyone where he just signed his name. Since I got the book signed, I'd be willing to give you the picture since I know how much you like Edge.
-
CanadianChick, have you ever met Edge? If not, I have an offer to make you.

I uploaded everything to Photobucket, so these should work. Me with Stacy Keibler Me with Edge Stacy Keibler For the rest of my E3 pictures, visit http://photobucket.com/albums/y215/MattYoung/
