Has anyone played this? It's been out for a while for PS2, but the Xbox version was just released with online play. That's the version I have, but I haven't taken it online yet since I realized my SF skills from 10-12 years ago have eroded greatly and I kind of suck now. It's really a fun game, though, despite the fact that it's ridiculously hard. For $30, you get Street Fighter III: Third Strike and Street Fighter II Hyper Fighting: The Anniversary Edition, a "new" game combining SFII, SFII Turbo (SNES), SFII Champion Edition (Genesis), and Super SFII into one package. You also get the Street Fighter anime movie, which is pretty badass. So, is anyone playing? - Matt Young: Training so I can whip your ass with Chun-Li.

Illinois fell 1 point shy of a perfect regular season. ONE POINT. Fucking hell... Ah well... I still hold out hope for an Illinois vs. Wake Forest title game. That would truly be a dream come true.

It would've been difficult to snap a picture of her when she was dragging my stepdad down the street via a moving vehicle. I'll have to find an older pic or something.

So you can relate.

Updates... Holy Christ. I sent this to my cousin two hours ago. I didn't bother posting it here. Mom stupidly let Kristine (my sister) borrow the car last night. She claimed she'd only be gone for "a couple hours". As soon as she left, I said to my mom, "You know she's not coming back, right?" Surely enough, it's now 10:43 AM the next day and she's still gone with the car and, presumably, the debit card. She's probably out with her friend Weasel and his crew doing crystal meth again. That was three hours ago. A little while ago, my sister came back, saying someone dropped her off. My stepdad found out she had hidden the car down the street. She hopped in and tried to get away, and my stepdad (who is seriously insane, usually in a bad way) ripped open the passenger door and tried to get in. My sister sped off and DRAGGED HIM DOWN THE STREET, ripping up his clothing as well as his skin. he's got several deep scrapes and lacerations now. She's got to be on meth. This is extreme even by her standards. It's surreal... I saw it with my own two eyes and even I have a hard time believing it.

No... Throws are only cheap if you do them repeatedly, which I don't. Also, if you know what you're doing, it's easy to block them. I just like using Chun-Li. It's better than choosing Ryu, Ken, or Blanka like everyone else. Actually, I'd use Cammy, but she's not in 3S.

When you put it that way, it is kind of funny. But I didn't find out the games were gone until we were separated and I moved to California. Besides, there were 30 or so games which I spent several thousand dollars on over the years.

A friend of mine from New Midwest Wrestling goes by the ring name "Shane Matthews" as well. He doesn't look as gay as the guy whose pic John posted.

I can probably get a picture of my sister for you guys if you really want one. All I have to do is snap a quick shot with the digital camera if/when she comes home or I can find an older one if she doesn't return.

I thought I was Kotz's gimmick account... Then again, I also thought Czech was 25.
-
No. My sister should aspire to be more like you. From the little bit I've gathered about you from your posts here, you're far more sensible and mature than she and most girls of that age are. Plus Canadians are the shit. I grew up wanting to be Canadian because of Bret Hart. That was off-topic and a little weird, but yeah. Seriously... stealing, repeatedly lying to friends and family, sometimes for no apparent reason, fucking random guys who are pushing 30, doing coke and other drugs... All of that is pretty stupid and disgusting, but these girls can at least wait until they're adults before making stupid decisions. As heartless as I may sound, and as much as I dislike my sister a lot of the time (and although I do take some satisfaction in the fact that she now has to suffer like the rest of us) I wouldn't be so upset if I didn't care about her.
-
My sister is tall and skinny, but she has dark hair and freckles. None of the rest of my family looks like any of the Bundys, sadly. EDIT: Damn, Czech. All this time I thought you were some husky 25 year old guy, and now I find out you're actually 2 years younger than me. Crazy.
-
Heh, actually, Slayer... I... well, never mind. Baisden, if only you knew how my sister was and how many people she's hurt, lied to, and stolen from... If only you knew. I would never have wished pregnancy on her, but I'm surprised it took this long considering how many guys she's had sex with (and that's just the ones I know of).

Yeah, MLB 2K5 is out for Xbox and PS2.
-
If anyone wants a copy of MLB 2K5 for the Xbox, I'll trade it for an Xbox copy of Tiger Woods 2005.

It's funny because he's an ordained minister. Are you still into researching religion and stuff? I've been waiting for your book for years now. I didn't mean any of that to sound sarcastic or condescending, either. I really am interested. At any rate, I was raised Christian and I still believe in God, but the original poster's friend is definitely wacko.

I wished her a happy birthday in her driving test thread since I figured I wasn't the right person to be starting a thread seeing as how I don't know her, but happy birthday to you again, wjm.

Actually, yes, it was clean. Evolution interfered in the rematch the next night, but not at SummerSlam.
-
Nope. It's $19.99 at Best Buy. They'd likely do a price match, though. EDIT: After further research, supposedly Best Buy will do a 110% price match on anything in Circuit City's ad, so you'd get the game for $15 plus an extra 10% off ($1.50 basically). Circuit City will have their ad on their website this weekend, so you'd just need to print out the page with MLB on it and take that to BB for the price match.

Are you using FireFox as your browser, Rendclaw? I get that same problem at times. It's not just with the team flags like I have in my sig, but rather with many sig images as well as non-signature images. Sometimes they show up, but sometimes it simply says "user posted image." For example, the flags in VX's sig show up for me now, but yours says "user posted image." I'd like to know why this is the case myself. EDIT: Ah, I just noticed what The Max said. It's true, you do have one too many http's in the image URL you entered into your sig. Regardless, what I said still holds true. Can anyone explain?

Definitely. MVP's better overall period, so even factoring in online play, I'd go with MVP if I had to choose one. MLB 2K5 is better as far as online play, presentation, and extras (Skybox stuff) go, and it is a fun game in its own right, but MVP is the better game in most respects as far as I am concerned. That's coming from a guy who prefers the 2K sports games to EA's 9 times out of 10. Still, there's no accounting for taste. It seems that just as many people prefer MLB as do MVP. If you only plan on buying one game, I'd suggest renting them first. That way, you won't end up regretting your decision. Also, for anyone who plans on picking up MLB 2K5, it'll be on sale for $14.99 beginning Sunday at Circuit City.
-
Yeah, I got the game, too, and we've discussed it in the MLB vs. MVP thread. I'll probably continue discussing the game in that thread, just so you know. That one will stay bumped. If you want to play online, my GT is MattYoung. EDIT: I forgot to mention this: For those of you who want to purchase this game but haven't done so yet, it'll be on sale for $14.99 starting Sunday at Circuit City. I should've waited a few more days.

So does anybody play either game on Xbox Live? I definitely prefer 2K5 online (although MVP's better overall), and the game's growing on me as far as offline paly goes as well. I can't believe I despised MLB so much at first. It's good, just not MVP good. P.S. I hate SlamZone.
