*Sits here reading this thread while simultaneously fucking 11 year old virgins and slitting their throats, and weeping at the beauty of it all.* Modern Man's Hustle, I'm the reason your puppy ran away, your grandpa got cancer, and your mommy and daddy got divorced.

Story Tagliabue Says NFL Team in Los Angeles Is Likely Fri Feb 4, 2:32 PM ET Add to My Yahoo! Sports - Reuters JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (Sports Network) - NFL commissioner Paul Tagliabue made his state of the league address on Friday and once again said a move back into the Los Angeles market is likely. Photo Reuters Photo The league has been without a team in the nation's second-largest television market since the Raiders and Rams left following the 1994 season, but the commissioner believes Los Angeles will have an NFL club by the end of this decade. "We've been working very hard with four sites -- Carson, Rose Bowl, LA Coliseum and Anaheim," Tagliabue said. "It's becoming a reality. It is a top priority and has been for some time." After deciding on a site, Tagliabue said the league will then determine whether expansion or the relocation of an existing team will occur. The time frame for a move, he added, does not concern him. "What matters is two teams left LA and we want to get back there. What matters is we get this right. We want to get it done within this decade and when we do it, we want it to stay there." Other questions about expansion included whether it could be done outside of the United States' borders. "I think it could be very likely that the next franchises in the NFL are outside of the United States," Tagliabue remarked. "Certainly Canada or Mexico. We're giving consideration to playing a regular-season game outside of the United States. "My guess is it will happen. It's impossible right now to have a timeline." Tagliabue made a few statements then answered questions during his hour-long address. Included were questions about the health of the league economically and how the NFL's system is trying to be implemented by other sports, particularly the NHL, which is embroiled in a lengthy lockout. "I have no reaction to what's going on in the NHL," he said. "The salary cap works. It's complicated. There are varying degrees -- hard caps, soft caps. There are things we'd both like to improve. The record shows we have a very competitive league with everyone having a shot at winning." Tagliabue also praised both owners of the teams in this year's Super Bowl -- Philadelphia's Jeffrey Lurie and New England's Robert Kraft -- also remarking about how the Patriots are playing for their third championship in a four-year span. "When we did this system, we thought there was enough flexibility to keep teams together. We thought the system would allow for great competition and great winners. Maybe there's a little bit of luck there, too." Other topics of discussion centered around minority hiring, particularly in the front office, the league's contract negotiations with television networks and the viability of holding future Super Bowls in small markets like Jacksonville. "I think that Jacksonville will prove that it has all the things you need to host a Super Bowl successfully. The likelihood is that it will be back here at some point." ------------------------------------------------------------------------ This is great news. I'd love to be able to go check out some games. Hopefully they'll move a team here, though, because at 32 teams, I don't think the league needs to do any more expanding for a while.

You win. I was hovering around 600 posts until November. I think people liked it that way. I would say I've done the least out of anyone in my 3 years here, but that would be an insult to those who strive to try even less than I do to contribute something meaningful to this board.

I was going to post some clever topic of discussion so this wasn't completely useless junk, but I couldn't think of anything. Today marks my 3 year anniversary at TSM- that is, if you don't count the 8 months I missed last year or the time I was at the old board- and my 1,000th post. Now I know my last 300 or so posts have been crap and I went from being invisible to most people here to being an annoying, gay fuck in the eyes of half of you, but this is still my favorite message boards and you guys have made it very fun. Your posts, whether negative or positive, keep me coming back for more, and I don't know what I'd do online without you guys. You're all great in your own ways. I just want to mark this "special occasion" (haha, yeah, what an accomplishment) by saying "Thank you" for all the good times.

I love you, Pinnacle. *Hugs*

I was actually going to PM you to see if you still played Halo 2 online. I still suck at the game, but I'd definitely like to play with or against you sometime.

Bradshaw turning face is a horrible idea. If you guys think Cena's character turned to shit after he switched, just wait til we see babyface Bradshaw hulking up...

The most memorable thing Amy's ever done was make out with Tom Green on New Year's Eve on national TV... However, I did enjoy her role as JBL's image consultant. Oh well.

Just a bump and an update... I traded in the shit-tastic shitty shitfest known as Mortal Kombat: Deception at my newly discovered local Game Rush store and got a very good $30 trade-in credit for it. I threw in the extra $10 and got Dance Dance Revolution Ultramix 2. I've been wanting it for a while, so now I can not only embarrass myself with my far superior DDR playing friends, but I can get my ass kicked on Live, too! Huzzah!

Tonight at 10:30 EST/7:30 PST (only a few minutes away!) the second season of the Ashlee Simpson show premieres on MTV. Last season's 8 episodes chronicled the journey of Ashlee creating her album from songwriting to commercial release, and this season will feature everything that's happened since then- including the infamous SNL incident. Be sure to tune in or risk killing yourself out of regret.

That's exactly what I was going to say. They're the cloests thing to a dynasty in today's National Football League, but missing the playoffs that year disqualifies them automatically. Now, if they win next year... That'll qualify as a dynasty. As for the best dynasty teams ever, the old school Celtics would probably be the best, but I wasn't around for their run. I'd go with my Chicago Bulls in the early-mid '90s. That was a great time to be a basketball fan in Illinois. They had 2 three-peats and probably would've equaled the Celtics' 8 straight titles if Jordan hadn't retired before the 1993-94 season.

The only other board I've been to that had this type of community was WrestlingGames.com.... But we never had a cock shots thread there. TSM wins.

Out of all the ROMs I downloaded, SMW2: Yoshi's Island is the only one that doesn't work. Shit.
-
Thank you very much. I am now preparing to experience Yoshi's Island for the first time (save for maybe a couple hours back in the day) thanks to you.

Are you all mad? Carmella is so fake and plastic looking (in her face, that is- obviously most of the divas are fake in other areas). Christy, on the other hand, is one of the hottest women I've ever seen. She's the perfect choice. I'll be making this issue my 3rd ever porn purchase, the first two being the Torrie and Torrie/Sable Playboys.

Favorite TV shows that lasted a season or less
Matt Young replied to Youth N Asia's topic in Television & Film
I definitely agree with Clerks, Undergrads, and Clone High. Those were great. I haven't seen Firefly, but I really need to since I found out that Jewel Staite, my childhood crush of Space Cases and Flash Forward non-fame, was on the show. Every time I see a thread like this, though, I have to list Get Real. very few people have ever heard of it, but it ran on Fox for one season in late 1999- early 2000 and introduced the world to Anne Hathaway and Taryn Manning. It was a truly great show, and I'd love to see a DVD release. After Fox canceled that, I couldn't bring myself to watch another ongoing series on that channel until Point Pleasant. -
It's been even longer for those of us who were at the old board. Time flies...

I love you, IDRM- Queer or not.

It's funny how I specified that my comments were nothing personal against you, but now all you talk about it how I "cry a lot" and supposedly kill teenage girls. 65 posts and you're already worthy of being ignored. Let us resume the discussion at hand. If you want to bitch about something or make failed attempts at insulting me, do it in Hardcore Discussion.

Don't pay any mind to Pinnacle. That's his gimmick. He follows me around and replies to all my posts telling me to get a job since I don't have enough money to buy a PS2. He doesn't pay attention when I mention that I'm in a new state and haven't been able to find employment yet. 1,000 posts in 3 years is nothing. And hey, at least I got rid of the Ashlee Simpson avatar.

Spring training is beginning soon, and I'm eagerly anticipating the season's start. My excitement hasn't died down much since the Series ended. The only sites I really go to for baseball coverage are MLB.com and ESPN.com, along with random columns on Inside Pulse and 411Mania. What are some sites I could go to to read up on various baseball related things? I'm looking for a variety of stuff- History, stats, stories from the clubhouse, predictions for the upcoming season, predictions from past seasons (if they're still around), interviews, videos- The works. I've realized that, despite watching baseball for a decade now, I know very little in comparison to a lot of fans. Sadly, I'm too old to get a chance to actually play the game competitively, but at least I can enjoy learning more about the ones who have had that experience.

MVP Baseball 2005 $24.95 preorder w/ free shipping
Matt Young replied to MarvinisaLunatic's topic in Video Games
Oh yeah... As far as the Take Two deal goes, they're the only third party developer than can create MLB games due to the deal. Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft can all still create their own first party MLB games. -
MVP Baseball 2005 $24.95 preorder w/ free shipping
Matt Young replied to MarvinisaLunatic's topic in Video Games
I was going to mention the Nintendo game. It might be good. Nintendo's put out some good baseball and basketball games in the past. Marvin- Sega released WSB, not Nintendo. There's also Mario Baseball scheduled for release! If MVP is $30, I might as well just get both that and ESPN for $50 total. Best of both worlds.
