No. Buying 3 $20 games that I can exchange for $50 each means I spend $60. Your low end estimate of $80 is the most I'd be spending, and that's a little over half of what I'd be paying in cash if I just bought the system. Besides, I've already found several games that I can get for $20 and exchange for $50, albeit at K-Mart rather than Wal-Mart. But their return policy is just as lenient. I should have a good chance at accomplishing this. I never said it was a genius plan or even a good idea, but it works 9 times out of 10 from what I've heard. I've only done it a few times, but my success rate has been 100%. EDIT: I would never buy a used or refurbished system from a game store after all the shit I've been through with used Xbox systems. As for the PS2, I want the newer slim model, so I'll be getting a new one regardless. If they do sell refurbished versions of that system which has only been out since November, that's pretty scary.

As opposed to the several million people who like her and bought the album... Plus I'd be willing to bet that more than a few people have signed more than once.

I was a huge fan of TNG as a kid, but I never really watched DS9, Voyager, or Enterprise. What was TOS? I may just be missing something obvious, but I cannot recall.

I can't believe I typed "cigs" as "sigs." Oops. As far as the Newport debate goes, I think every black smoker I know does indeed smoke Newports. However, so do 99% of the pot smokers I know from various races.

No, a lot of people have made it big and are still shitty singers. But whether someone is good or not is a matter of opinion, so this whole argument is kind of pointless anyway. I'm just saying that Ashlee sounds nearly as good as she does on the record during 99% of her performances that I have seen. She's not some atrocious vocalist who was made presentable due solely to technology.

People seriously can take things off the shelves and take them to the service desk for a return? Can't they tell that the items weren't scanned out? I thought people at least needed the person at the door to put a sticker on the box in order to be able to exchange it. Damn, even I wouldn't stoop to that. I guess maybe Wal-Mart has changed, but as late as last year they were selling 2-3 year old games that were $20 at other stores, for the full $50.

Again, someone makes a fool of himself by claiming that she monly sounds good after editing when they've never heard her sing live. I mean, come on... That's true in some cases, but making comments about anything when you really have no knowledge of what you're talking about is asinine. It's nothing personal against you, though.

I don't see how it affects you as a person. How the hell do you know where I got the games from? What if I really did get them as gifts and didn't have a receipt? I do have retail experience, by the way, so there goes that logic. If you would want to "beat my ass" over something like that, you really have some issues, pinnacleofallthingsangry. P.S. You apparently aren't anywhere near the pinnacle when it comes to spelling, seeing as how your sig has two errors in easy to spell words.

She wasn't handed success. She was handed opportunity. She had all the doors opened for her, but she had to have the talent to back it up. Obviously, at least several million people think she has that talent, although many think otherwise as well.

Nope. The ECW DVD didn't have any of the themes. There was just a generic rock theme for the opening.

Christy Hemme. I also have a strong attraction to Molly Holly. Really, there are too many to choose from.

So this kid in my dorm died last night.

I feel so horrible for laughing at that, but I couldn't help it. Death's not funny, kids. -
... and apparently no one's around to comment on it despite that part being the only thing that people here wanted to see. Hmm.

The episode with the SNL debacle has begun...

My mom hates wrstling, but she loves The Rock, Sting, and... get this... RICO. She was taken aback by his gay gimmick, but her initial reaction after seeing him, sans makeup, in a picture of the two of us together before a Smackdown house show was that of enamorment. (Is that a word?)

Congratulations. Those are slave like hours, but hopefully the work won't be done for slave wages. It's hard to find a job, so the fact that you have one with steady hours is definitely nice, even if they are going to be working the shit out of you. Just try to make the best of it and enjoy your fat paychecks on the weekends by indulging in all your various excesses.

True, but this method takes a lot less time, saves me money that I don't have, and, as I mentioned before, I am unfortunately unemployed at the moment.

From my experience, Wal-Mart often sells games for $50 that other stores offer at reduced prices. I hope that hasn't changed. In the past, I have exchanged 6 "greatest hits" titles that I got for $5 and I received $20 credit for each of them. I wasn't intending on doing that, but I couldn't find a PS2 to play them on. I just said that they were gifts and no questions were asked. I guess it really just depends on where you go.

Not yet. They covered part of the day she appeared on SNL on the season premiere of her show, but they left us with a "To Be Continued..." cliffhanger before the actual performance. They'll show the fallout tomorrow night, I'm guessing. There's a thread about the show in the Movies/TV/DVD folder if you're interested.

So how'd you get here, then? If the problem is only IE, maybe you should use another browser. I recently converted to Mozilla FireFox, and it is great.

Yeah, I tried those methods already. I've learned that finding a job in California is harder than finding one in Illinois.

New Pic of Jessica Simpson in "Dukes of Hazzard"
Matt Young replied to strummer's topic in Television & Film
She definitely looks too skinny in that first pic, but I'd still bang her in a second. God bless the reproductive organs of Joe and Tina Simpson. *tear* -
My avatar's not the best picture of her. I just like the pose and the little Lisa Frank style heart design. I know that sounds gay, but it's true. The Cosmo pic is great, though. It's one of my favorites. If you still don't think she looks good, that's perfectly fine. I have no problem agreeing to disagree, As I said, it all comes down to personal preference in the end. It was simply your original approach that was off-putting to me. I didn't see your additional edit until just now, but I'll ignore that since we've seemingly moved past that and I really don't want this thread to turn into basically what every other thread about Ashlee turns into.
-
I just saw your edit. I'm not sure what you're getting at there, and I did not act "retarded" in any way. No, I don't know you, but it seems like that's the course of action people take when trying to demonstrate that someone is "unattractive."
-
I see your point, but I'd wager that 99% of the planet's population would not be classified as anything close to "beautiful" when they are looking their worst. Then again, beauty is completely subjective and opinion-based anyway, so what may be gorgeous to one person could be utterly disgusting to another. This thread is just one of many examples that support that.
