Pretty entertaining read as usual, but once again, not much that I haven't seen before. My reason for posting is to correct something. The website RVD was referring to is not www.fivestarcomics.com, it is www.5starcomics.com. The former is an indy distibutor and the latter is RVD's comic store in Lakewood, CA (which I need to go visit sometime).

Agreed. The lyrics and beats far exceed his last few efforts. JAxl (or anyone), do you know what song he used the bassline from "Five to One" on? I recall hearing that and a little bit of "Light My Fire" during Jay's MTV Unplugged performance.

What? It doesn't cost $4.20?

Who would've ever thought that HORSHU~! could ever become something?

It's a neckbreaker where Shannon does a front flip off the 2nd rope into the move. It's basically the same as the Buff Blockbuster or Hurricane's overcast.

Why is Franz Ferdinand hailed as "the next big thing"? They're just as horrible as, if not worse than, The Strokes, The Hives, and all those other shitty bands. Their songs are boring, repetitive, and uninspired.

He's hit it a fair amount, including in his victory last week over Akio. That brought back old 3 Count/Jung Dragons memories. Shannon Moore for Cruiserweight Champ!

Bumping for reference.

I'm surprised that no one has started a topic on this already, but I could have missed it seeing as how I've been gone for the better part of 7 months... On Sunday, I played Donkey Konga for the first time. Although I love music and video games, I never really played any rhythm-action/music games (except a little DDR). However, Donkey Konga had me intrigued from the moment it was announced seeing as how I love all things Nintendo and they have a knack for making very fun, very innovative games. I was all set to buy Paper Mario 2 until Konga came into my life. My cousin brought the game over and played a couple songs. Since he only had the 1 controller that came with it, I just watched him play. Speaking of controllers... for the uninitiated, Donkey Konga is meant to be played using the DK Bongo drum controller. Notes roll across the screen in the form of barrels, and you are prompted to hit the left drum when you see yellow, right when red comes up, and both drums for a pink barrel. You also do the occasional drum roll. The bongos even have a sound sensor that acknowledges the sound of you clapping. You use these simple yet effective controls to play allkinds of songs ranging from Devo's "Whip It" to "Bingo" (which actually is great with the clap sensor). This all may sound stupid to some, but it is highly addictive. This game seeps deep into your soul, latches on, and won't let go. How addictive is it? Just hours after playing for the first time with my cousin, I went out and spent $50 on the game. Now I can look forward to the multiplayer bongo battles that will surely commence on many (possibly drunken) nights in the near future.

How is this the "official thread" when I started a thread about the game over a month ago that got several responses? http://forums.thesmartmarks.com/index.php?showtopic=62442

Yeah, I'm 5 miles away from UC-Riverside.

I'd probably go with one of the years when the NES had tons of great games released, but look at a few years ago- 2001. The PS2 had been out for a year and was starting to get into a groove. The Game Boy Advance was released with quality games. The Xbox and GameCube came out within days of each other. The Dreamcast was dying, but it still had quality software being released for it. The Nintendo 64 even had some excellent games in the form of Paper Mario and Conker's Bad Fur Day. I have no knowledge of PC games, but I'd say that's pretty impressive as far as the console side of things goes.

It was 68 degrees at that time. Ever since I got here 3 weeks ago, the temperature has varied from as high as 75 during the day to low 60s, and at night it's anywhere from as high as 50 to as low as 35. At any rate, 60's may be cold to you, but I come from Illinois where I'm used to sub-zero winters. 60 degrees is a picnic for me. Just as a side note- it's too bad you're not still around these parts. I love my marijuana and the Green Bay Packers (I'm wearing a GB sweatshirt now) so we have a little in common, heh.

I almost bought it just because it's $20 and I have always loved the VC/Sega Sports games. I must know some things, however. Is it different enough from NBA 2K5 to warrant a purchase? I don't want the same game twice. I alsow as disappointed with NBA 2K5. It's good, but not great as the Dreamcast iterations were to me. How's the new free throw system? If it's the same as NBA's,.... ugh. As much as I hate to do it, I always have to turn free throw help on (at least in mutiplayer) because the NBA meter is nigh impossible. I know they've always used trigger buttons to control free throws, but it worked well in older versions. This new game's system is too cheap.

I got one from GameCrazy a couple weeks ago after going through 2 sued Xbox systems from there, one of which almost blew up. My NCAA and Top Spin games also came on the same disc. I'm loving the system, but I don't have time to play all my games. Thanks to Toys R Us' buy 2 get 1 game free sale, I had several Xbox games before I got the system. In total I ended up getting 7 Xbox games (counting the 2 that came with it) and 2 Cube games in one week, with another Xbox purchase coming after that. Here's what I ended up with for Xbox: Halo Halo 2 Splinter Cell (haven't even played yet) ESPN NFL 2K5 ESPN NBA 2K5 Mortal Kombat: Deception NCAA Football 2005 Top Spn As you can tell, I love my sports games. I have a ton of great single player games for GC, so I wanted good Live enabled sports games for my Xbox. Still, I had to restrain myself from buying Madden 2005 for $20 today. I need to actually get value out of the games I have now first.

I was wondering if anyone knew of any video game deals for the day after Thanksgiving. I was lucky enough to get a GameCube with the Zelda Collector's Edition for $80 last year, so I was hoping some stores would have some decent bargains this November 26th. Has anyone heard of any?

What's the difference between the 3 versions of the album I've been hearing about? Supposedly there's the CD, a Cd and DVD, and a CD/DVD with bonus tracks or something. I'm guessing that only the CD itself is on sale for $7.99, right? Regardless, is the sale all day long or just til noon? I can't make it out to Best Buy til after 5 P.M.

How long does it usually take when you order? EDIT: Post 666~!

What's the deal with shipping? They were supposed to send my available DVDs immediately via 3-5 day shipping and of course I'd have to wait on the backordered ones. Now The "available" ones are postponed indefinitely. I could totally picture goombas and koopas in old style 1920's uniforms. The goombas would of course be gruff, tobacco-chewing motherfuckers.

I was directly connected the first time, but i'm doing it now and am not connected. I'm pissing my pants in excitement because of the fact that my 56k is now working like broadband, and I'm used to ridiculously slow computers. For example, I couldn't get insidepulse.com to load at all before even after 10 minutes of waiting, and now it takes 5 seconds.

Czech- Are you the ChicagoLoop guy I have on my AIM buddy list from talking to like 8 months ago before I moved and was without net access?

As much as I hate the cold weather, I love having snow around Christmas. It gets me in the holiday spirit. for the first 20 Christmases of my life (counting the year I was born of course) there was always snow on or around Christmas since I was in central Illinois, where the winters can be pretty harsh as far as midwestern states go. However, I now reside in Southern California, and it's 70 degrees and sunny outside. Palm trees line the street. I'm sure as fuck not going to complain, but I will indeed miss the snow.

Come on, Inc. Fess up. You slipped some 'cid in my Diet Cherry Coke, didn't you! This is seriously fucking with my head. I am already delirious from sleep deprivation, and no one here can figure out what's going on. This should theoretically be impossible.
