This is great news. I have half the episodes on tape, but the uncensored versions all in one tight little package for $20 is an awesome deal. As far as the new season goes, there have been commercials for it. I believe it starts on January 21st, but I am not 100% sure that that is the correct date. I know it's set to air next month though.

I agree fully. With the notable exception of the damn joystick kickout glitch which sucks the fun out of multiplayer matches in Revenge (except battle royals) Revenge is the better game on the whole, and I wanted to reply to state that fact, and also the fact that your avatar rules, Kahran. EDIT: Well, that's post 420... my lucky number. Alright... *points to self with thumbs*

When you have it, post the Tribute Here
Matt Young replied to ChrisMWaters's topic in The WWE Folder
Shit, I must have missed that. I watched most of Raw tonight, bu I missed parts of it due to a phone call. I wish I would have seen that. I would like to see it posted as well. -
I don't drink much beer, but I love my vodka and I'm pretty drunk right now thanks to some peppermint schnapps. Christ, with all these posts where I mention my inebriated state, I feel like MoleStomp. And that, my friends, is a very dirty feeling...

Hey man, have a good time... I'll miss seeing you around as you are one of the guys whose posts I always read, and you do have a sweet-ass avatar/sig of my potential future governor (if I go to California with my family when they move there) but as I know from experience, a vacation (both from the internet and your normal life in general) can do a world of good, and thus I honestly hope you enjoy yourself. Don't worry, I'll be here when you get back.

Congratulations. Despite the fact that I'm of the belief that grades and intelligence aren't related (I know a lot of smart people who suck ass at school just because they don't try hard enough, and vice versa) you seem like an intelligent individual and I'm glad your hard work has paid off. No matter how much school sucks sometimes, I know it feels good to have the justification of receiving a report card full of A's (B's are OK, too... but you get the point). To borrow a term from those crazy Brits/Aussies/anyone not American... Cheers! Sorry, I just needed an excuse to use that emoticon. I'm pretty fucked up off about half a fifth of peppermint schnapps right now. EDIT: You have the best sig image ever. Matt Young- Hart mark since 1991.

I have a tremendous amount of respect for that woman for actually returning the money. She must be a very good, honest person, and deserves more than fifty fucking dollars in gift certificates. That being said... I would have kept it. I may have felt guilty, but I probably wouldn't have time to with all the booze, weed, video games, etc. I would have bought with the money. That, and I'm broke as hell and need cash to fund my college and wrestling training, along with the aforementioned alcohol/drugs as well as cigarettes.

I love No Mercy and I still play it to this day. It's by far the best WWF/E game, but nothing touches Fire Pro Wrestling D as the best wrestling game ever in my opinion.

My two favorite teams are the Packers and Titans, and I love both Favre and McNair (in fact, their jerseys are the only two NFL ones I own) so I can't say who's better... But DAMN, Brett was fucking amazing tonight. Go Pack, go!
-
I'll chime in with my choices later, but as far as the Seahawks jersey debate goes, they DO (or at least did) have dark green jerseys. I know they had them last season, and I believe they may have even worn them a few weeks ago. I think I recall seeing the team in dark green this season while watching ESPNews.

So, once again I am here to request the card for Smackdown and Velocity. I see that the Iraq show for Christmas night has been taped and there's a thread about it, so can someone please share the card with those of us who like our Smackdown unspoiled?
-
Oh yeah, thanks for answering my question about that. But no, they didn't have it in stock, sadly. I'm going to check out the website, however.

Nice pickups, man. See, they have lots of good games for Xbox and PS2 (which I don't have) but very little for GameCube, and what they do have mostly sucks. Resident Evil is good, but $20 is what it goes for normally at most places and I already have the game. Red Faction 2 might be good, though... I heard good things about the first one. Oh yeah, I forgot to say this before, but thanks Brent. You're like my favorite TSM member (aside from the ones I know outside this board). You always post shit like this to help us score great deals, and your fanatical love for wrestling and the optimism you have for all things related to it are a rare quality here, but one which I share and appreciate.

I just bought WWE Crush Hour for GameCube. I heard it sucks, but I like car combat games, LOVE WWE games, and hell, it was only $5 at Circuit City (it'll be marked at $19.99, but get a price check). I haven't played it yet, but I'm about to. The instruction manual is fucking hilarious. Here are a couple quotes from the character/vehicle descriptions: RVD- "When it comes to taking turbo powered leaps in his 4-wheel ATV, no one gets as high as Rob Van Dam." Jeff Hardy- "Jeff Hardy drives the most extreme wood-paneled station wagon you'll ever see!" Haha... that's too funny...

I got WWE Crush Hour today. I haven't played it yet, but there are some hilarious quotes in the instructions, which will be posted in my "Games You Just Bought" thread.

Thanks. Man, we've been getting a shitload of 4 match shows lately... Although this time around it's probably because they'll have a decent portion of the show dedicated to the troops and such. But hey, Cena hopefully finally getting the US Title (that is a title match, right?) and Benoit vs. Guerrero make me a happy man.

I have thousands of old school games in ROM form, both on my PC and my Dreamcast. For some reason though, I feel the need to buy the actual carts. It's the same for PSX and DC games- I had a ton of burned ones, but I'd rather own the actual games. It's more fun to play the real thing and more rewarding to be able to look at my massive collection. Anyway, I just rented my first game in a long time last night, so I figured I could talk about that in this thread as well. I got Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for GameCube based on the fact that I loved the demo on the Mario Kart bonus disc. It's a great game so far. The graphics are gorgeous and the cartoon derived cutscenes make it feel like you're actually playing the TV show. 2D side scrolling beat-em-up games were probably my favorite genre back in the SNES days, and maybe of all time. When they're done right (as many on the SNES were) they are incredibly fun, although at times mindless. TMNT for GC is a perfect 3D adaptation of the genre, and although nothing can touch TMNT II: The Arcade Game for NES as the best game in this genre, the new game is a great breath of fresh air in the current gaming world and it's very difficult to put down. The graphics are gorgeous, the gameplay is addicting, and multiplayer is probably even better. I'm sure I'll be able to easily beat the game at least with one character by the time I have to return it, but seeing as how you can play through the game with all 4 turtles (and I here casey Jones and Splinter are unlockable) there should be a ton of replay value. Does anyone know if playing with different characters causes the story to be any different? Honestly, this is a title I can see myself playing through over and over again. I will most likely end up buying it.

Since I see that the Smackdown spoilers have been posted, can someone post the match listing up here? Throw in dark matches/Velocity too if possible.

I believe I first started watching sometime in 1991. I do know that the first PPV I ever recall seeing was SummerSlam 1991, and I watched the TV shows before that. I had just turned 7 right before SS '91, if it matters. As far as when I became a smark, my cousin would tell me rumors and spoilers (such as Mankind winning the WWF Title) at times from 1998 on, but I didn't become fully smarkified until I got the internet in mid-2000 and became part of Vampiro's official website.

I saw this and signed up when it was first posted. I thought I replied, but I guess I didn't. I hope that this deal actually works. I have been meaning to subscribe to EGM for a while. It'd save me a shitload of money, seeing as how I've bought every issue for the past 6 years (since #100). Have these deals actually worked for anyone, though? I signed up for the free GamePro subscription months ago and haven't received anything.

What is this Gamecrazy place? A friend of mine on the West Coast goes there all the time, but I've never heard of it here in PA. Is it basically a West-Coast-only Gamestop kinda place? It's not only on the west coast, seeing as how I live in the midwest (Illinois). As Sakura said, it is a part of the Hollywood Video chain. They're usually in the back of the stores and are maybe 3/4 the size of the local GameStop store. They have pretty much anything you could want- New games, and a selection of used games for the newer systems as well as for the NES/SNES/Genesis/PSX/N64/Dreamcast that absolutely BLOWS AWAY GameStop's selection. They also have a decent amount of peripherals, even for Dreamcast (which pleasantly surprised me) along with the standard playable demo setups, some gaming magazines, etc. It's a great store, and it's the best place around here for finding 8 and 16-bit games. I believe there is a store locater on their website... Check it out at www.gamecrazy.com. EDIT: Ground Zero- Where did you find NCAA 2K3 for 10 bucks, and for what system? I really wanted to pick it up for GameCube, but they only had NFL and NBA2K3 at GameCrazy. Besides, both of those were $15 used, and I know EB (at least the website) sells them for $10-15 new.

I didn't know GameStop had that sale since I haven't been out to the mall lately, but at least where I'm from, Game Crazy's prices are generally much better than GameStop's anyway.

That is pretty sweet. I could use some of that stuff to wake me up right about now... I haven't slept in a couple days. NOTE: The above statement was not meant to be taken literally. While Matt Young enjoys alcohol, marijuana, and the occasional shrooms, coke has the potential to be very bad and ruin lives. Don't do it. Drugs are bad, m'kay? I recently (a few months ago) became seriously interested in RPG's. I had played some older SNES ones, but never owned any and thus I hadn't beaten any until recently. I played through Paper Mario and loved it. I'm still playing Chrono Cross (I keep getting sidetracked and end up not playing it for weeks at a time) and it is one of the most amazing games I've ever played. I have also dabbled in Skies of Arcadia somewhat. The one franchise I have yet to really get to play, though, is Final Fantasy. Not too long ago, I saw that Final Fantasy VII is selling for $15 new. I have heard from tons of friends that it is the greatest game ever, etc. as well as some people saying it sucks. I'm starting this thread because I just got a call saying I have $15 in store credit at GameCrazy, and I'm trying to decide whether to pick up a cheap GameCube game, some old NES/SNES/Genesis games, or FFVII (or some other PSX/N64/DC game used). Also, since most people have such strong opinions on FFVII one way or another, I figured this would spark an interesting discussion. So please, fill me in, debate, whatever. PLEASE mark all spoilers with the tags so as not to ruin the game for me or anyone else. Thanks.

Agreed. I love my peppermint schnapps, and rumpleminz is the best. It's 80 proof and delicious.
