    Non-spoiler Smackdown card

Thank you. At least half the stuff looks decent. Tajiri/London and the tag match on Velocity should be good, and as far as SD goes, adding Los G's and TWGTT to the tag title match should make it decent. Mysterio vs. Noble should be good, and I'm looking forward to Benoit taking on Palumbo. I've always liked Palumbo.

Why are the conferences so lopsided? NBA

Actually, make that 10 rings with 3 teams. He won one as a player with the Knicks, I believe in '79.

    Worst Alcoholic Beverage?

Jose Cuervo gold is the nastiest tasting shit ever. I'll drink it when there's nothing else (I mostly only consumed it when my former friend 8-Ball picked some up for me and Mandy) but God damn, I'd prefer giving analingus to The Dames to drinking that shit if it would give me a comparable buzz. Now, back to my delicious vodka...

    Toning Exercises?

I've recently lost a substantial amount of weight (43 pounds). I'm about 5'8" tall and 125 pounds now. Obviously, I don't need to lose anymore weight, but I do have some excess skin in the stomach and leg areas that I need to tighten up. Does anyone know any good exercises that can fix my problem? I've tried situps and such, and although I have gained some muscle in my abs, it hasn't really gotten me toned at all and my back's fucked up anyway, which makes situps difficult. Any help would be appreciated.

    What's your major?

After taking a couple years off of school, I plan on starting college either in the summer (community college, then transfering) or next fall. My main choices for fields of study are Pre-Law and Journalism, although I may dabble in both.

    Punch Out Me Too!s

I loved Punch-Out on the NES. I still play the Mike Tyson version quite a bit. My cousin had Super Punch-Out, and we used to play that quite a bit as well... Not sure which I like better. Speaking of my cousin... WIWFBSAH: God dammit, no! Wade Hixton's Counter Punch fucking got delayed again... Fuck. X Matt Young X: What's that? WIWFBSAH: It's a very Super Punchout style boxing game that looks like it's going to be very, very, fun. It's for GBA. WIWFBSAH: It's been delayed until February 10th, now. I figured that might be of interest to you guys.

    Final Fantasy VII

I appreciate getting a few replies already, but I just wanted to chime in with something. I actually did own Chrono Trigger for a couple months (I got it in exchange for F-Zero X, which I also got free, heh) but I sold it for like $75 to some guy since I had heard that Final Fantasy Chronicles was coming out soon. I loved that game, although I only got about 6 hours into it. As far as whether or not I care about graphics... I grew up on the old school shit. My first system was an ATARI about 17 years ago. I actually prefer SNES graphics to a lot of PSX games' visuals. I've contemplated purchasing Final Fantasy Chronicles or Anthology for the classics, but I already know about those and I don't know about FFVII, hence this topic. I've also been trying to score the originally (supposedly superior) SNES carts on eBay before I cave in and buy the PSX versions. Just another little note- Despite the fact that I can get all those SNES RPGs, as well as any PlayStation game, burned for me, free, I still feel the urge to buy legitimate copies, and I don't know why. Oh well... That's all for now. I'm going to go play some Chrono Cross, but I'll be back in periodically to chek this thread. Once again, thanks to all who have helped thus far. Sorry for rambling in every post. I'm tired.

    Toning Exercises?

Thanks for the suggestions, guys. No, I'm not fat, but I was all my life basically until this year. That's why I have excess skin. I even have stretch marks on my hips, arms, etc. Those won't go away for a while, but I want to get rid of my stomach flab/skin. I'm pretty self-conscious, and that bothers me. Anyway... some people say I look great now, a very select few say I'm too skinny... I'll try to get comparison pics for you guys. Oh, and another note- I lost the majority of that weight in a few months, so the short time period may have something to do with why I have excess skin. As for my back, I have had 2 bulging disks for a few years, an injury that I reaggravated landing on my shoulder/neck/upper back while taking a flip bump in wrestling training a while back. On any kind of hard(ish) surface, the two discs that stick out literally grind into whatever I'm lying on, preventing me from doing situps. Also, there's a lot of strain on my back and neck. I'll have to try some of your methods, though.

    Counterstrike

Lately, I have been reading about Counterstrike's immpending Xbox release in EGM. What intrigued me most, however, is the fact that the magazine stated that the PC version is free and will run on shitty computers (like mine). I have been playing console video games practically since I was born, but I have very little experience with PC gaming. I have heard from a lot of friends that Counterstrike is a great, addictive game. Basically, all I know about it is that it's a home-made Half-Life mod. I really liked the little bit of Half-Life I played on the Dreamcast, so I'm guessing I'd enjoy this game. I plan on looking up as much info as possible after Smackdown, but I was wondering if those who play the game could give me some info and tell me about the game. Would it be worth playing on my 56k? Where can I download it? Also, if you want to discuss any aspects of the game with each other, feel free to do so in here as well.

    How many of you...

I still live at home, but I just turned 19 in July. The only reason I'm not on my own yet is because of the fact that I live in the middle of nowhere and have no car, so I haven't been able to keep a job. However, my family's moving to Long Beach in a few weeks, and I'll be moving in with my grandma in Springfield. Once I'm there, I can take a bus to work easily, or even walk depending on where I get a job at, and should easily be able to afford to move out within a few months.

    Counterstrike

I don't even have an Xbox yet, but why do you say that, Josh? Just curious... Actually, you are one of the main reasons I've become interested in the game. I guess the general consensus here is that it's not worth trying to play it on a 56k, which kind of sucks since I really want to try it out. Oh well... I will be moving to Springfield pretty soon and will finally be in an area where I can get broadband, so then I can enjoy the game in all its glory.

How many of you have played...

I own Fire Pro D for Dreamcast, and I love it. There was a period of time where I'd play for a couple hours a day. I also have the ROMs of Fire Pro Advance 1 and 2, both American and Japanese. Once I get a Game Boy Player for my new GameCube, I'll purchase the actual games (or at least the 2nd one).

    Yeah...Thanksgiving...

135? I was 135 in 2nd grade! Yeah, well, I had been at 128 (and even more recently, 125) for a while and seeing as how I was fat all my life til this year, I do not wish to be fat again. I'm 5'8", btw.

    Mario Kart: Double Dash!!

I got it today. My original thoughts are in the Wal-Mart deal thread. Long story short, I adore this game and it's the most fun I've had gaming in years. I've played games for 17 years, but kinda lost interest when the Dremcast died. This game has almost singlehandedly restored my interest. Now, for an update. So far, I've been playing for about 4 hours (not counting the hour or more I spent on TMNT, F-Zero, and Sonic Heroes on the demo disc) and I have to stop for a minute just to rest my hands. It's so hard to put down, though. I have beaten all 3 cups on 50cc and 100cc, unlocked 6 cars and the Special Cup, done every track (including Special) on Time Trial, and... I think that's it. I fully expect to play for at least another couple hours, but I have to start up on that Zelda disc sometime... I'm actually contemplating staying home tonight, on a FRIDAY night, just to play GameCube. I'm a loser.

    GameCube Zelda Bundle - $79.44

Well, I picked up a Jet Black GameCube a couple hours ago at Wal-Mart along with Mario Kart: Double Dash!!!. I played the demo disc to get familiar with the controller, and everything on there is awesome, especially TMNT. That brings back memories. I just completed every course on Time Trial, and after this cigarette break I'm delving into the Grand Prix mode. I haven't had this much fun with anything not involving a woman in years! I got very little sleep last night and I'm VERY tired, but I just want to play forever. It's like Christmas morning when I was a child- New system, new games, and it's even snowing. This reminds me why I've loved gaming for 17 years... And damn, I haven't even played the Zelda disc yet. This is great.
  20. Hmm... my stepdad's a Walgreens manager, so I have been to all 5 stores in this area, but I have NEVER seen a wrestling DVD. If the deal is going on here, I'd love to pick up some of the shit you guys mentioned, especially Hulk Still Rules. On top of that, I get a 15% employee discount at the store.

Ric Flair DVD set for $16.80

Thank you so much! I've been salivating over the Flair DVD for a while, and I just scored big time. My mom's headed out to Wal-Mart tomorrow to do some shopping and is picking up a GameCube for me along with Mario Kart. That pretty much will use up all my extra money. However, I was asking if there was anything I could do to earn some cash since my aunt offered to sell me her like-new extra DVD player for $20, and I mentioned the Flair DVD set in passing. My mom, in an unusual act of coolness, said she saw some $30 DVD players in some ads and that she would pick one up for me ALONG WITH the Flair DVD set (since, after she asked me for more info about it, I told her of this deal) just for cleaning my horribly messy room and helping her paint the living room. I felt like a little kid, being offered that as an incentive, but fuck man, I'll definitely take her up on that offer! A GameCube, 4 Zelda games, Mario Kart, and possibly a DVD player- all mine tomorrow- along with the Flair DVD in however long this site takes to ship it. I will be getting nothing done and no sleep for a LOOOOONG time... I'm giddy as a schoolgirl.

    GameCube Zelda Bundle - $79.44

Tomorrow, the GameCube will finally become my 12th system courtesy of this great deal at Wal-Mart. However, I need to know (since I might not be going to get it myself)- Are there any decent third party memory cards at Wal-Mart for $10 or less? $20 is a little steep for the official Nintendo one (the only one listed on the site) since I'll be getting the system, Mario Kart, and possibly a cheap DVD player already.

    Yeah...Thanksgiving...

I had fun since I mainly played Super NES with my cousin- a full World Series on Griffey, eevry cup on Super Mario Kart, and a shitload of Wario's Woods. However, I feel VERY bloated and I look fat, so my self-conscious ways have me regretting it. The scale said I weighed 135, which can't be right since I was 125 just a few days ago (on the same scale). Maybe after I digest all this food I'll shrink back to normal and not look like a fucking cow.

    Coffee

I'm a caffeine addict, as the title states. I have drank at least 6 cans of soda (recently diet) per day for God only knows how long. I used to drink coffee at my grandma's house before school while growing up, and I recently started that up again when I got a job at CCB a while back, since I am NOT a morning person. It has continued even after that job has ended. Right now, I am enjoying the perfect combination- I've filled my cup with 7/8 Folger's Classic Roast, 1/8 milk, 1 teaspoon Coffee Mate Amaretto Creamer (the serving size is 4 but it's too fattening), and 4 packets of artificial sweetener. It tastes great, and I'm enjoying it along with my morning (in this case afternoon, I just woke up) cigarette and lucha libre. I don't really go to coffee houses, so I don't know much about what they sell there, but when I was in Canada Tim Horton's Iced Cappucino rocked. So what do you drink to quell your coffee/cappucino cravings?
