New Storm Commentary
Matt Young replied to A Guy Who Injects Heroin Into Kids' Eyes's topic in The WWE Folder
That was the violation he was referring to- He's mentioned it in past commentaries- but the Confidential thing was a joke. Anyway, another great column by Lance... Those who haven't already been there should check out his site. The commentaries are always awesome, and he's been cool enough to answer a dozen or so of my posts in his comment board and also e-mailed me a couple times. -
Months of rumors are now offical... According to guitarist Dean DeLeo and bassist Robert DeLeo, Stone Temples Pilots have now officially broken up. No reasons was given for the breakup but one could believe it involves Scott Weiland's new project "Velvet Revolver." Source: Guitar One, via 411Music --------------- Well this definitely sucks. I was a pretty big fan of STP. Although I didn't purchase their later releases such as Number 4 and Shangri-La-Dee-Da, I did enjoy what I heard from those records, and I own Core, Purple, and Tiny Music.... They were an amazing band, one of the best rock groups of the '90s in my opinion. I haven't heard anything by Velvet Revolver outside of the first single, "Set Me Free", but I wasn't too impressed. Still, I have hope since I love(d) Guns 'N Roses, and Weiland's a great, charismatic singer who's great when he can stay out of jail/rehab.

The Ataris have been around since the early 90's and have released a shitload of good material. Then again, I'm a mark for catchy rock love songs... And their lyrics and the ones I write are in a similar style (although I began writing before ever hearing of the Ataris).

That wasn't the dog's TV debut. Lita mentioned on Confidential a while back that she adopted it and now brings it to evry show. Then she called its name and it hopped onto her lap. I wonder how long it'll be before the dog gets fired?

I was wondering if anyone was going to start a thread about this. Most stores around here aren't getting the game in until tomorrow, but I definitely plan on picking it up. I have been wanting a GameCube for a long time now, being a Nintendo fanatic for the last 15 or 16 years since I got an NES, but I never did get a Cube for one reason or another. Now that it's at $99 with the kick-ass Zelda bonus disc, I plan on purchasing the system along with Mario Kart later this week. Zelda and Metroid Prime are better games, but Mario Kart's right up there and most importantly, it has a great multiplayer mode. I usually agree with EGM's reviews, and they were spot-on this time. I don't know what Gamespot was smoking, but then again they gave MK64 a 6.4, so what do they know? Every GameCube owner out there should buy this game, or at the very least give it a rental.

Unlike most people, I have nothing against Bonds, but Pujols was robbed.

I've been wanting a title belt for a long time. Any one of them would satisfy me, but my top choices were the big gold belt and the WCW U.S. Title... That was until I stumbled across this link while checking out The Mayhem for Jackie Gayda nip slip pics- http://www.1wrestlingshop.com/www/stores_a...AffiliateID=200 That's right, classic belts! This may be old news, but it's the first I've heard of it. The old school WWF Intercontinental Title belt has always been my favorite, and now I can actually own one. Awesome.

The Magic sucks balls worse than any team this year. Yeah, I didn't realize the Magic were 1-10 and on a 10 game losing streak until I watched ESPNews tonight. What happened? They were a playoff team last year.

I faithfully read every shoot interview posted. Those are my favorite columns posted here by far, although the only other one I read all the time is Dames' TNA diatribes so I can keep up with the NWA. I can tell you put a lot of work into them, and I very much appreciate it. The Cornette one was one of the best, if not the best. And I'm dying to read a transcript of the Vince Russo one.

"Take that!" Yeah, that's what the move's called.

The Critic on DVD Release Date/Details
Matt Young replied to Bruiser Chong's topic in Television & Film
*marks out* FINALLY!!! The Critic is my 3rd favorite animated series of all-time after Clerks and Family Guy, and although I have every episode taped off of Comedy Central, this set is a must-buy for me. -
I'm not sure about the awards thing, but as far as the realignment goes, I like it, although the divisions do seem really weird. The main reason I approve is because my favorite teams, the Bulls and T-Wolves, both have good shots- The Bulls should get 3rd place next year, and Minnesota should easily win their division. But damn... That Southwest division will be tough as fuck with 4 playoff caliber teams in there. Conversely, all the teams in the Southeast division suck balls except for the Magic.

I LOVED Raw tonight. I'm not nearly as negative as most people around here, seeing as how I enjoy the shows 99% of the time, but still, everything went well tonight. I missed all of last week's show and half of the one before that, so I was super-excited to be able to watch a whole Raw again, and they definitely delivered. There wasn't a single bad match or angle. The one thing that did slightly disappoint me was the fact that Test and Steiner didn't win the Tag Titles, but that's just a minor complaint I have. My favorite moments of the night were Matt Hardy making his return (I marked out huge but already miss his old entrance), and both the love angles with Y2J/Trish and Christian/Lita were excellently executed, to use a term coined by my all-time favorite wrestler. Every single match was pretty good as well. They also set up Raw Roulette for next week (which I enjoyed last time around), Randy Orton finally getting a title shot at Armageddon for the IC belt, and they seem to be doing something right with Kane. Plus, Goldberg jobbed, which is always nice to see. Hell, Booker T even dragged a decent match out of Mark Henry. I'm definitely looking forward to next week's show even more than usual, and I hope the great momentum they have built carries over.

That is seriously one of the best WWE products ever. If I had a car, I would definitely buy those.

No big deal. But hey, I just wanted to apologize for sounding like an ass in my first reply. I didn't intend to come across as rude, but it appears that I did. I'm sorry.

This was just posted a couple days ago, and even then it was old... and still not funny.

I only remember bits and pieces of my dream from this morning, but it was really fucked up. I've had longer and crazier ones, but nothing like how this one ended. I remember first that Mandy and I were having sex, and then the next thing I recall is going to the mall. I should also mention that my mom was with me for whatever reason. She wanted to look around for a second, and apparently I had to go find a new phone, which I did. I then went down to some electronics store where I walked down an aisle filled with people programming things. The store had some cheap DVDs, and there was this $4 MXPX one that I wanted. At the same store, they were selling some large posters and had an NMW (New Midwest Wrestling) one. They also sold tickets to the NMW shows there, and I was about to buy one since they were $5 in advance, but then Justin (Tom Arson) showed up and I bought one from him since wrestlers get a discount on training if they sell 50 tickets. For some reason, Justin was in his wrestling gear, as was Jarin (Guy Smith). After this happened, my mom had to go to the service desk for something, and in my dream it was right next to the food court. At one point, Christie Carlson Romano from Even Stevens got up from a table, did some weird dance in front of me and then kind of disappeared. Every time I got near this one hallway on the side of the area I was in, the receptionist at the desk would say I was being too loud. I didn't understand that. In the dream, I joked with some girls about that. Eventually, I made my way down another hallway to a large conference room type area where I once again met up with Mandy, as well as Tori (Cherry Malone). There were other people in the room that I knew, but I can't remember whom. Black Sabbath was in there and started playing "Paranoid". When it came time for the solo, Slash from Guns 'N Roses came out, but instead of playing the guitar, he played some weird Indian type flute. He then handed it to me, expecting me to mimic him, but I had no idea how to play. He tried to coax some hot blonde girl into playing, but she kind of laughed and refused, appearing somewhat embarrassed. Just seconds later, I heard the sound of gunshots as bullets shattered the windows and ripped through the walls. Slash was killed, and everyone else hit the floor, obviously surprised that their visit to the mall was culminating in an attack of that fashion. I crawled along the floor as bullets whizzed over my head, pushing chairs and other objects in front of me for cover. I planned on crawling out of the room, but Mandy too scared to move. She was probably 10 feet away and was so in shock that she hadn't even tried to take cover. I pulled her to the ground and basically covered her with my body in order to protect her. I told her I loved her... She said, "I love you, too"... And then seconds later, I was shot in the side of the head. The bullet went into my left ear, and I felt a sharp pain as my ear began to ring and I slowly faded out of consciousness and life. That was the first time I had ever died in a dream, and the scariest part was that when I woke up, my left ear was ringing and was also actually bleeding. I doubt I'll be able to sleep for a while.... That really freaked me out.

I've heard about a wrestler from the 80's who I believe wrestled in World Class and/or Mid-South who went by the name of "Gorgeous" Gary Young. he was mentioned in Mick Foley's first book, and I know that one or two Scott Keith video reviews I've read have included some of his matches. I'd like to know if anyone here could tell me who he was (basically give me a bio), show me a pic or two, etc. The reason I ask is because my dad's name is Gary Young, and upon hearing that there was a wretsler who shared his name, he wanted to know more about him (as do I). Any info or links would be very much appreciated.

I've experienced things from all sides. I'm mostly a fan of local teams. In basketball, I've always liked the Bulls, although Minnesota's my favorite team. Ever since '98-99, I've had to watch the Bulls suffer through 5 losing seasons after witnessing their championship glory years, and that's very frustrating. Although the T'Wolves have been good, they've lost in the first round every single year, and it's heartbreaking. In baseball, the White Sox underachieve every year. The Cardinals are good sometimes, but they have never made it past the NLCS since I've been watching. I'm kind of a Cubs fan by proxy since my entire dad's side of the family are diehard Cubbie fanatics, and seeing them blow it against the Marlins took a lot out of me. The only sport where my teams usually always do well is football. The Packers are my favorite, followed by the Titans. Honestly, I do think it's better to at least enjoy your team(s) having a winning season and/or making the playoffs rather than seeing them fail every year. At least then you have some hope.

I've gotten my left ear pierced twice... once when I was 11 (and my Christian school teachers gave me hell for that) and again when I was 15. I plan on getting a labret piercing once I find a place that'll do it for less than $40 in Springfield.

I've been a fan ever since I saw them at the 2001 Warped Tour. "Sing The Sorrow' is one of the best albums of the year, and their older shit is great, too. For those wondering what they look like, Nevermortal has a pic of the band in his sig, and for general info on the group, check out www.afireinside.net.

I was going to put this in the Gaming forum since it's a picture of myself and The Bad Guy (my cousin) after beating Donkey Kong Country, but we look so damn gay that I just wanted to post it here and see how creative and/or vicious you assholes (and I mean that in a loving way ) could get with your flames. Anyway, we both got DKC for Christmas 1994, so I'm guessing this is late December '94/early January '95, which would make me 10 and him 7 (both our birthdays are in July). We're at our grandma's house, the site of many gaming moments throughout our childhood. I'm on the left, and he's on the right. Laugh at how funny we look, and flame away. NOTE: The pic says "90%", but soon thereafter we achieved the vaunted 101% score. Then my sister erased the game (one of many) while trying to start a game. God, I hated that stupid bitch.

Matt Young and The Bad Guy after completing DKC
Matt Young replied to Matt Young's topic in No Holds Barred
Jukebox Boy, not you. Oops, sorry man. Wait this is No Holds Barred- FUCK YOU! Just kidding. I'm too nice to properly flame. Oh by the way, Angelslayer... That's the best costume ever. -
Matt Young and The Bad Guy after completing DKC
Matt Young replied to Matt Young's topic in No Holds Barred
How is it trolling? It's no more ridiculous than half the other topics in this forum. I'm allowing both myself and all of you an opportunity to be amused, whether it be by the picture itself or the responses it generates. That, and I was/am REALLY fucking bored... My only disappointment stems from the fact that my old buddy Tod deKindes has yet to flame me viciously. -
I'm packed and I'm holding I'm smiling, she's living, she's golden She lives for me, says she lives for me Ovation, her own motivation She comes round and she goes down on me And I make her smile, like a drug for you Do ever what you wanna do, coming over you Keep on smiling, what we go through One stop to the rhythm that divides you And I speak to you like the chorus to the verse Chop another line like a coda with a curse Come on like a freak show takes the stage We give them the games we play, she said... I want something else, to get me through this Semi-charmed kinda life, baby, baby I want something else, I'm not listening when you say good-bye The sky was gold, it was rose I was taking sips of it through my nose And I wish I could get back there, someplace back there Smiling in the pictures you would take Doing crystal myth, will lift you up until you break It won't stop, I won't come down I keep stock with the tick-tock rhythm, I bump for the drop And then I bumped up, I took the hit that I was given Then I bumped again, then I bumped again I said... How do I get back there, to the place where I fell asleep inside you How do I get myself back to the place where you said... I want something else, to get me through this Semi-charmed kinda life, baby, baby I want something else, I'm not listening when you say good-bye I believe in the sand beneath my toes The beach gives a feeling, an earthy feeling I believe in the faith that grows And the four right chords can make me cry When I'm with you I feel like I could die And that would be all right, all right And when the plane came in, she said she was crashing The velvet it rips in the city, we tripped on the urge to feel alive Now I'm struggling to survive, those days you were wearing that velvet dress You're the priestess, I must confess Those little red panties they pass the test Slide up around the belly, face down on the mattress One And you hold me, and we're broken Still it's all that I wanna do, just a little now Feel myself, head made of the ground I'm scared, I'm not coming down No, no And I won't run for my life She's got her jaws now, locked down in a smile But nothing is all right, all right And I want something else, to get me through this life Baby, I want something else Not listening when you say... Good-bye, good-bye, good-bye Good-bye The sky was gold, it was rose I was taking sips of it through my nose And I wish I could get back there Someplace back there, in the place we used to start I want something else Great song. Check out this thread.
