Since they're having that play and win weekend, I played some random kid in Madden just now. No mic. He was the Jets against my Packers. I was pretty dominant on defense, but my offense, while really good, surprisingly, with the run, couldn't go all the way. But I took a 17-7 lead, and then he ended up cutting it to 17-14 when I made a dumb mistake and gave up a huge TD pass on 4th and 23. I ran out the clock for the whole 4th quarter, making progress all the while. I wasn't going to give him a chance to win. It's smart football. I ended up kicking a field goal with 15 seconds left, and had received a message from the guy right before I kicked it. I also got one immediately after the game ended. I had been prepared to send a "good game" message to the kid and give him good rep since I was so impressed that I had a good experience with a random player. But after finishing the game, I checked my messages: *shakes head* Fucking people.

Everything I've read suggests that online gaming uses more bandwidth than just about anything else you can use the internet for.

No. There are 4 preset characters: - Red Knight: lightning magic - Green Knight: poison magic - Orange Knight: fire magic - Blue Kight: ice magic You can also unlock more characters as you progress. You can level up each of those to 99. I got the orange knight to 17 after one 2 player playthrough. You can do co-op with up to 4 people, or you can play solo. There are also 20-something animal orbs, which are animals that follow you and have different powers like attacks, finding hidden items, etc.

I couldn't connect with various friends earlier, except Thoth for like 30 seconds. But I finally got to play online with my friend Devin all the way through. 4 and 1/2 to 5 hours or so. Amazing game that I can't wait to play again. I won't spoil anything, but the ending is the greatest thing in the history of gaming. It's so fucking trippy. The whole game is like one giant acid trip as is.

As for the games, I can play most days in the afternoon (Pacific time) and late nights. Sundays are almost always good. What's the time difference where you are, Chris? Right now, it's 2:50 P.M. here. I think there's a 6 hour difference, right?

Glad to see that VX and Kotz, both Packers fans and both likely more knowledgeable in regards to football minutia than am I, share my optimism. And yes, I stand by my declaration about the Patriots. Apparently the NHL 2K9 demo is out now on Xbox Live Marketplace. I'm downloading it now. Also, after going back to NHL 08 to finish my last dozen season games and the playoffs before the new game releases, I decided to try the skill stick again. After 2 games of hating it, it clicked. I like it a lot now. I don't necessarily prefer it over classic, but ti's not bad and I can aim my shots where I want more efficiently.
