I put down the money to pre-order this game. I've never been a huge GTA fanatic, but I enjoyed III and VC, and I'm just now wrapping up Saints Row. It's not like there are any other major 360 releases for a couple months, and the only game not in my collection (besides Rock Band, which friends have) that I really want is Lost Odyssey. But I have Mass Effect to sate my RPG craving for now. Just a little over 2 weeks...

Did it give you the "Corrupted Save Game" message, too? My saves are listed as such when I am offline, but when signed on to Live, I can access them just fine.

360. Sports games always run smoother than their PS3 counterparts, and the online is much better.

My suggestion: Calling teams 4 months prior is senseless. I say that we should wait till, at the very least, online franchise is confirmed. But probably, it would be best to wait till the game's out, see who will run the league, then pick teams in order of sign-up and/or play each other if 2 people want the same team.

You won't get a free year, but you'll get a little extra time. I was in the same situation upon renewal a year ago and got an extra 2 months before I received another e-mail stating when the subscription would be cut off.

FYI, Leo, you can change the pitching and batting options to Classic Mode in MLB2K8. I, too, hate the stick method. It sounds good on paper but doesn't play well. As for COD4, the only FPS games I ever owned before COD4 were GoldenEye, Perfect Dark, Halo 1-3, and BioShock. Call of Duty, as I said, is now my favorite multiplayer game ever. Get the GOTY edition with the code for the map packs. You already missed out on double XP weekend, but you can join the many TSMers who play, such as myself, Broward, PK, Thoth, etc. In fact, Ripper and I traded messages today. He's just starting with multiplayer. Maybe we can all get on a team together.

We'll just have to play each other.
