"Oh, hey, you were in the parking lot! That's how I know you!"
-
"Yeah, hi. I have a deposit!"

the Beatles doing the global broadcast of "all you need is love" is probably the high point of the 1960s. go fuck yourself if you think that song is "putrid." it's all about the CONTEXT. Lennon suddenly bursting out with that "...loves you YEAAAH YEAAH YEAAH" during the fadeout is my favorite beatle moment, period. speaking of which, I think my favorite Beatles song is "she loves you".

yes yes yes yes! THIS. she would be perfect.

They were going to win the Nevada convention. The establishment couldn't have that of course so they shut it down. pretty amusing (the notion that we still live in a democracy that is)

Aside from last night's episode, Pam hasn't thought too highly of Jim for a while now. you're making this up, or seeing it when it isn't actually there. Pam is just as in love with Jim now as she has ever been.
-
^^ agreed, but I think it's more likely that she accepts Jim's proposal and they hold off on setting a date and spend next season with the office wondering if/when it will ever happen. if they break up and the writers force any unnecessary heartbreak on me I will stop watching this show. can't two people on television just be fucking happy for once.

maybe because he has fucking principals. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

I think they still have one more year. They'll really need to get a backup pointguard, though, to cut down on Nash's minutes at least a little. And if they actually end up getting rid of D'Antoni, they can go ahead and get someone who actually will play the bench. They can't play 7 guys next year if they want to have a chance. On the upside, if they do stay with D'Antoni, there's no way in hell Shaq will be in "fatass" mode because of all the running he'll have to do. and with their training staff, I wouldn't be surprised to see him in fine shape next year. but fuck that's a long time from now. i need to worry about more important shit goddammit. what a sad ending. i'll be rooting like hell for the Hornets.

FACE IT GERALD THERE'S NO INTERNET the beginning of this episode with everyone freaking out was hysterical.

snuffbox, would Obama pardon all non-violent drug offenders?
-
and he actually got 2nd place in terms of delegates, beating McCain quite handily. delegates are what matters.

in order to lower interest rates, the Federal Reserve has to print more money. more money in circulation = more inflation. it's really that simple. Paul wouldn't "get rid" of the Fed, of course, you can't just pull the plug. What he would do is legalize competing currencies (basically legalize the constitution so that gold and silver can be legal tender instead of only federal reserve notes) to put a check on the Fed so they have to actually compete and can't just completely control our money supply and create inflation. he would also force them to operate with transparency so we know what they're actually doing and why (he would also I think put an end to government secrecy in general, and who knows what that may mean). it's not just a simple matter of "switching to the gold standard" or whatever you think you've heard Ron Paul's position is. and he's so totally not a "straight up" isolationist. there's a difference between isolationist and non-interventionist and it's so obvious I'm not even going to bother saying it. and I think the majority of the world would be very happy to have the US military out of their hair. as for RP being the biggest big business candidate, that's just completely absurd. government regulation of the market is precisely why our country (and therefore the world) is owned by corporations, because they fucking WRITE the regulations. Ron Paul would give the country back to the people, where it belongs. He's not running for ruler of the world, is the key difference between him and the rest of the field. and Atheist, he's not completely opposed to the existence of the Federal government! sheesh, since when does the Constitution call for zero federal government?
-
pretty much. it's no secret that what the majority of people in this country actually want is socialism, i.e., nanny state. we get off on big government.
-
OH MY GOD I JUST CAN'T HANDLE THE IDEA OF A CURRENCY THAT IS ACTUALLY BACKED BY SOMETHING THE IDEA IS JUST TOO HORRIBLE TO EVEN IMAGINE I MEAN CAN YOU EVEN THINK ABOUT HOW TERRIBLE THAT WOULD BE I MEAN THEN WE WOULDN'T BE ABLE TO PRINT MONEY WHENEVER WE NEED IT TO PAY FOR OUR WARMONGERING FOREIGN POLICY I MEAN ISN'T THAT WHAT WE ALL WANT HERE ANYWAY I MEAN IT'S SO MUCH FUN OWNING THE WORLD AND MAKING SURE PEOPLE KNOW THAT WE OWN IT.

you're such a misinformed waste of space, Nightwing, I don't even know why I bother trying to talk to you. how's that empire doing for you? how's that runaway inflation working out for you?
-
is our empire really doing that much for you? how do you justify spending that much money meddling in other country's affairs while our economy is sailing straight into the dirt? it's going to end one way or another. it can be done gracefully or it could be sad and deluded and pathetic. it's only a matter of time before the majority of people start waking up to this blatantly obvious fact. the media is doing a great job though of completely marginalizing and neutering Paul. they asked him, what, 3 questions in an hour and a half debate? you can tell how awkward it is for the people asking questions. it's the keep-away-from-ron-paul-because-every-chance-he-has-to-talk-is-dangerous-for-us game.
-
Ron Paul? Ron Paul? Ah yes, Ron Paul.
-
are you autistic by any chance?

KOAB, I love you. also, RP wouldn't pull out immediately. he's said it would take time, of course, and that he would work with the military to get the troops out as fast and as safely as possible. not to mention the troops we have in 130 other countries who would come home as well.
