I hope you're right...they really need to do HHH and Batista at Mania so they still have time to build the match through the Rumble....we'll see. It just felt like the angle was killed by the way it was booked...I'm not asking for a hotshot Batista turn but at least something different.
-
Dude it wasn't that great... they dicked us on the IC match after two matches had already gone short...not worth the money I spent nor the money you will spend later...just download it and rent the PPV for 3/4 of the main event....
-
No....I don't think the Women's title match went as planned...Regal and Eugene would retained based on the backstage stuff...they set up HBK/Edge a little more and once again KILLED off the best angle they had...I don't know how they'll recover Batista from this...the crowd boo'd the hell outta that result and was chanting Batista throughout the arena...at first I was against a Batista title run this early but FUCK! He didn't have to go all out for HHH like that...Now we have nothing on Raw planned for the Rumble and Mania is looking like a mess already..they really booked themselves into a corner with this one...
-
They were so close to getting something good...multiple times...they coulda had HHH tap just as Batista got in there to keep HHH a heel and turn Batista later but no....they coulda had Flair and Batista give the Electric Chair via Orton on Raw but no....hell HBK was only there to further his feud with Edge...one minute he was beating the shit outta Flair the next he's raising HHH's hand for the win(most surreal part of the night BTW)...and the damn thing ended almost a full half hour early! You were all right...it was predictable and a waste of money...I wish I could get a refund but Vince doesn't care...I hate the WWE...I don't even see how they can go anywhere else with HHH and Batista because it's obvious now after weeks of teasing that he's solidly in HHH's corner...that was the whole point to putting him in the Chamber right?
-
The problem with the "Maven/Shelton Segment" was it was just that...a damn segment...not a match like the one I was promised when I bought this damn PPV...the E.C. better be one great match....
-
Two hours left for Kane/Snitsky and the Chamber? Wow....ans Hassan looks like a badass...why book him in such a terrible match with no commentary....and where the hell was Coach...he coulda stepped in...this is the first PPV I've bought since Mania 18 and I think I just wasted 35 bucks....

Speaking of the Hart House I'm still suprised that someone other than the family now owns it as it's a definate part of wrestling history. Vince is just hell bent on erasing history so I guess he supposes that since he couldn't just buy it and bulldoze it into dirt he'll just sit back and hope everybody forgets about it. Vince doesn't want anymore "good" Calgary bred wrestlers anyways...they don't mesh well with his tatted out OVW army and people tend to like them more than his son-in-law which of course isn't good.....

A feud series is a great idea although WWE would probably do a butchered DVD with multiple feuds on a one or two disc. I'd like a Bret/Owen with everything on it but a Bret and Austin or HBK(especially if they got "real" with it) would be great too. I was also thinking that a full disc of Austin/Rock would be badass with all the matches and especially all of the promos and skits that they did. That stuff was classic. It's a shame that there aren't any good feuds anymore.

Then let it be known....Kara DioGuardi must die! Err...write better stuff...that's what I meant. On a personal note I know Ashlee sucks but I really don't like her retarded older sister(even with that rack) so I'm cheering for her to be better than Jessica so....GO ASHLEE!!!

That was badass...at first I was like "yeah it's cool but any good gymnistahHOLY SHIT!" Spiderman is right..it looked like they were training a couple o' guys to do that stuff...that was some crazy agility...I liked the part where he jumped in the mall and those guys kinda turned around just as he made it over the wall...and the way he kept on moving...yeah it's safe to say I just marked in my pants....

I saw an infomercial once about VOOM, an all high def sattelite company that had a bunch of new channels including a Horror Channel called AMonsters HD...you should chaeck it out if you want something different as there are 21 n ew channels on VOOM....

I know that Linkin Park gets no love around here but get past that for a moment...has anybody else seen all these 'tribute" cds at Best Buy...they have them for everybody now from 311, LP, Incubus not to mention all of the guitar tributes..anyways I picked the LP one up knowing full well that there would be no actual LP members on the cd but hoping the "remixes" and covers that they promised were so great on the package would be decent but to my displeasure it may have been the worst cd ever purchased....this band that does the covers are litterally destroying this music to the point of comedy...is this crap parody or what?...has anyone else wasted money on one of these tribute cds?....are there any good ones...I bought the DMB "Breathe" bluegrass tribute a few years ago and that was decent...the guitar tribute to Tool was at least interesting but this was terrible!

This is the real problem with having the monopolized system that we have today. None of these guys have had time to build anything and as soon as they hit SD! or Raw they're in line for the main event and what's wore is that they know it...they have to! The WWE just doesn't use the talent they have in the right ways and there just doesn't seem to be enough of it to go around either because they focus so much on the Entertainment aspect that EVERYBODY has to have a fucking story so that you rarely have just some matches for the sake of winning so that you move up in the ranks. Raw has just about the right mix of talent. Guys there have enough mic skills, chrisma, ability, psychology that it can be a good show and the younger guys can learn from it. But SD! has nobody. Or when they do have a shot at doing something right they book it all wrong. Cena and Booker shoulda been way better than what we got. I just can't take these guys seriously anymore beacuse Vince doesn't take time with anything. A guy'll be Hulk Hogan one week and then be Koko fuckin' B Ware the next! The best we could hope for right now would be zero changes for one year at least. No more damn heel or face turns except what they've already got on the table, no more STUPID roster changes as it just reminds me that I'm still just watching on company put on two shows every week and no more fucking title changes that further devalue these titles(all twenty of them). I want Cena to catch a fire and be fucking great just like I'd to see Orton be great because I'd love to go through another great wrestling boom but it'll never happen at this rate.

I'm just curious as to why this thread popped up...did Corino just do an interview or something bashing the WWE and Flair? Again just curious as I love backstage dirt.
-
I know that his site doesn't review them anymore(I miss them a great deal) but have there been any recent shoot interviews that are reviewed anywhere else. Has anybody here bought any shoot interviews and are they worth buying even after you ahve read the recaps of them?
-
Weeellll...isn't that channel going belly up soon? Ha Ha!...but not really...you are the lucky one......seen any good shoots while we're on the topic?

My biggest problem with this and the whole Raw was that it was done on Raw and not on PPV or at least after the elimination chamber on a Raw. These three matches should be PPV caliber matches but as usual they've been stuck on Raw where we get the typical fall to the floor and JR screaming "Folks we'll be back!" on each occasion and instead of 15 or 30 minutes we get 7 to 14 minutes of in ring action. I don't care that Batista beat Benoit and yeah they should recognize that he cheated but understand that Benoit has been around for years and years and he's not gonna get that run that many of us would want like they did with Bret, taking on all comers. Benoit has all of our respect but Batista is hot right now and making him a monster is gold. A few months ago everybody was screaming about how Batista sold too much and should be a monster! Well here he comes and not a moment too soon. The best heat has always been when someone takes something from the fans and Batista will only be face long enough to turn on us and then he should take the title. The best situation would be a face Batista turning on a champion like Benoit and then having a hot face chase the monster for the title. I thought it worked with Yokozuna(I don't want to here about buyrates) and it worked for Vader in WCW so it can work again. Batista has beaten Benoit twice in 4 weeks and now looks stronger than ever and now all of a sudden we have a fresh star for the main event. Benoit is in that main event and has had more chances at the title recently with the exception of HBK and HHH. That's pretty good company if you ask me.

Wow...interesting story and I'm suprised that these people would go to such lengths to own a character that most people have never heard of...it's too bad that Miracle Man will probably be lost for a long time in this legal mess and any story that does come out about him will never live up to expectations...

Can somebody tell me when these face/offs happened
reign replied to Lil' Bitch's topic in The WWE Folder
It would be a three way-uuhhh dance....wanna bet who the third man willlll be-uhhhh? -
It still pisses me off that these movies are less than twenty or so years behind the original trilogy because it makes the Empire seem a lot less powerful and totally screws up how old Vader should actually appear. Those X-wings looked cool though.

Which former WCW really benefited from going to
reign replied to MikeJordan23's topic in General Wrestling
I don't see how Austin would've been anywhere close to the level he became in the WWF if he'd stay'd in the WCW as it was his bitterness that he used in his ECW promos that gave him that Stone Cold persona..sure he probably was the same guy but staying in WCW he would've still been Stunning with balding blonde hair that was cocky...he probably woud've joined the NWO since most heels ended up there anyway....now if Bischoff was smart then he coulda used Austin in the same fashion...letting him be the heel that just got over because he was a badass and then jumpstarted the Austin vs. his boss(EB) about two years early...it's too bad that theres now way to see an "alternate" vision of what wrestling woulda been like if things like this never happened like in comic books... -
RF VIdeo sucks. Do not buy from them. I can tell you horror stories about their service. Actually, I think I'm a rare example of a happy customer. I haven't ordered much, maybe 5-6 times in 3 years, but every time, the tapes/DVDs have come in no more than two weeks (in some cases a week) and have been of the best quality. I've only ordered shoots though, so I don't know how their other stuff is. As for my suggestions: The Jim Neidhart shoot from RF is great. The first time around, I really didn't like it, but the second time I was laughing out loud. Neidhart is funnier than hell. I've also just order the Mr. Fuji and Powers of Pain shoots. I'll let you guys know how those are. Is Neidhart's recent enough to include stories about the Hart Foundation reunion, HBK/Bret feud and his second run with WCW? Those are the type of shoots I'd like to see. Does Pillman have a shoot interview?

Does anybody know why Vince started getting these dumbfuck writers anyways? I mean who the hell was writing during Hogans run and those great stories that seemed like they went on for years(Hogan/Andre right into MegaPowers and dragging on into Warrior/Savage)?! The Hogan Andre angle lasted forever into two wrestlemanias and spawned more great stories and elevated Savage,Warrior and Dibease into top spots too. And Austin's run should at least still be fresh in Vince's head. I just don't understand why he does the things that he does. Are we in Smark land the only ones that notice or do normal fans just not care. What the hell a normal fan is Ill never know 'casue I don't know any. But where have the creative minds that shot this company to the moon gone and when will they come back to kick these unsuccessful posers to the curb? BTW what is the difference now between a booker and a writer? I hope Heyman is released because it's obvious that they will never do anything with him so he'd be better off trying his hand at another company. Is his debt to Vine repaid now ya think?

Who was the first to wear "non wrestling attire"
reign replied to Steve J. Rogers's topic in General Wrestling
Most of the guys mentioned so far like Raven and the Bushwackers wore what they wore because it fit the character and made some sense. No they weren't wearing tights but I don't think they needed to because of the character they were playing. Getting back to DDP, he had wrestling attire that really wasn't too bad but then took to those faded, tight guess jeans(they had the little triangle on the back) and I think that it was supposed to mean he was just an average guy like the people but I just never worked for me. Worst use of non wrestling attire I believe.
