Wow...this thread is all over the place...I can't believe that the WWE would've even considered this Matt guy anyways(I barely remember him)...it really is a testiment to how fucked up this company has become... Yeah good point about Flair...I know he's been at some house shows but who knows if he's wrestling or not....but I would still consider him reliable in many aspects...

Something about Torrie in that suit...makes me feel special....And I LOVE putting Edge on the poster...not every poster should have oh say the World Heavyweight Champion on it...

Christian has been through some CRAZY matches and he's always around.....and you have to give it Flair...the guy's 55 and still goes and since "returning" to active duty hasn't missed any real time...

What I can't figure out is why won't they use the cruisers on SD! for crying out loud...I mean when Raw sucked they didn't have 8 or 9 guys sitting in the back that most people haven't really seen and that could come out any night of the week and give ***** star matches...so Raw traded and traded and drafted and started booking good matches until they became the better show..not so much because they took guys from SD! but because they really got a lot of people involved in good matches...all of those guys are fun to watch now...but SD! has to show uninteresting house show footage TWICE and then just to spite us all on this very website they practiclly destroy the only title that could have worth something on that damn show...if they would just let the cruisers go at it a few times on prime time television instead of when I'm out getting drunk on Saturday nights that show wouldn't just be okay to watch it would be equal or better than Raw...it just seems like Vince and Stephanie want to use all the shit angles left over from WCW but leave out the only thing that made that dead company stand out...

Booker could pull it off is he took it seriously and I doubt that they'll go full blown Shango with him anyways...maybe just a bit of voodoo stuff to give his character a little more edge...they should stick with the name Hirohito...that name could make a big a difference in how the character gets over

Those are all good choices...I'd mark for Rock vs. HBK, Angle vs. HBK...honestly any combination with HBK against anybody that wasn't quite around when he was WWF champ...I thought the RVD match would've been great but HHH f'd that up...I'd love to see Savage come back and take on some of the current roster...and we still have time for HBK and Eddie...it's only a matter of time...the big money match would be a Tag Match with Hogan/Rock versus Savage/Cena...of course with a proper build...And of course anything with Bret..even a damn interview..would draw HUGE numbers

Well I don't think that it's so much that she's overweight but I mean it used to be SUNNY!!! She was BY FAR the hottest woman in WWE history...and to see her like this really is sad...

You can all say what you want but it's about time the WWE tried something a little different with their "Divas"...I was glad when Gail Kim came in to the company and I'll just bet that Hiroki will be hot...I'm just tired of blonde after damn blonde...and yeah I know Lita,Victoria and Molly are all on the show too...I just think it is cool to have Asian women on the show....that's my two cents...Viva la Hirohito!!!!

I for one will be the first to admit that I hated the return of the big gold belt,the way in which it was brought back and most of all who carried the damn thing for 98% of the time..but now seeing that belt on Benoit and even HBK before him I think that World Title is the real deal...HHH beat Ric Flair for the title(okay so it was his first defense) which now to me seems like a pretty resonable way to bring back the same belt that Flair had held for so long...and yeah Raw suffered through the reign of HHH as he beat RVD,Kane,Booker,Steiner and all the rest but it helped to create a new history for that title and made it so much more important when Benoit was able to win the gold...take away Goldbergs wasted reign of course but I think that whether they intended it or not the WWE has done a great job establishing the World Title...hell now it even sounds better...World Wrestling Entertainment Champion or THE WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION...and the fact that Raw has the belt that has been seen throughout the NWA,WCW and the WWF of old and SD! has that second-rate looking belt is just all the more reason to claim its superiority...your thoughts?

I think for those that say RVD can't get over as a heel due to his initial run as part of the Invasion are wrong...at that time he was the freshest thing WWE(F) fans had seen in a long time...and those who remembered ECW marked big time for him...it's similair to when HHH came back..he was a big time heel at the time on his injury but came back and was cheered as a face...HHH made the turn but RVD just stayed face...a great face though as he was and still is over big time...I would like to see RVD get hooked up with Heyman and the Duds...it may be the only way to give him heat as turning him would be pretty tough because the people love him(more than Cena I think). I just don't think HBK will ever turn again unless the fans turn him...they have tuned down his faith stuff though so maybe..

Amen to that Sledge..but yeah take Race of your list..and in his defense Booker deserved that title in WCW...it isn't really his fault that the rest of the company was worthless..he always remained a good worker and was the only bright spot in the main event division for a long time.........

Then that settles the argument...yes..the WWE has completely f'd up the history of wrestling by saying one thing and writing(or listing) another when it comes to titles..on one hand from their interviews and form what many of you have said..the World heavyweight Title has the same lineage as the WCW Title(from what Vince said)...so I'm willing to buy that...and for those of you who can't believe that at least admit,as usethesledgehammer said, that the World Title is the same championship as the one the Rock wore after WCW died.....but I still think that the title currently around the waist of Benoit is the WCW title renamed by Vince,unified by Jericho and the de-unified by Bischoff and given to HHH.

That match was great and a true testament to Ortons imporovement but much more so to Morelys' ability which...and I better not get blasted for this...is right up there with Jericho and Christian...he's much better than HHH as far as ability goes..no he'll never be a main eventer as Val Venis but if, as many of you had said before, he could go back to being badass Sean Morely...his run with Lance as tag champ was cool and I think he and***please Smarks...don't crucify me*** TEST! would be a nice fit as a tag team since the odds of Sean getting as singles push are slim...who knows..they were able to make Bradshaw a title contender on SD!...maybe there's hpe for him yet...I hope that we'll be seing more matches involving Morely that qualify as MOTW.

I just read the post that I started this thread with and this has grown into a completely different animal and I 've exhausted my resources...I think I'm done talking about the WWE titles for a long time...and to thebigjig...don't be so jaded man..have some fun with it...if the titles don't mean anything to you then that's cool...this is a thread for people who do care about them in as much as any fan can actually "care" about a "fake" sport...but thanks for coming by and sharing your opinion...

Send his big ass to SD!...on Raw he's a jobber and doesn't really fit anymore...on SD! he can run over anybody..but no WWE title reign...just another program with Eddie that Eddie eventually should win...but he can definately be repackage as the monster he was and give SD! some badly needed heel heat.

For the record, I agree with you that those are three really good reasons to consider it the WCW belt. I just believe it is a brand new title because: 1) Why would Brock just give up half his belt? 2) What claim did Bischoff have to half the title? It was "Undisputed champ can be on both shows", not "Undisputed title belongs to both shows". 3) Booker, Goldberg (pre-beating HHH), Steiner, Nash were not referred to as former World champions, they were (on the rare occassions it was brought up) called former WCW champs 1. Brock wouldn't have a choice because while he was the WWE Champion if the WWE(i.e. Eric Bischoff as the GM of Raw and thus empowered by WWE) decided that since Brock gave up his right to appear pn both shows as the Champion they could split the title back into two seperate championships. 2. And if I remember the Champion HAD to defend his titles for both shows...so see above for the rest of the explanation... 3. There's no doubt the WWE has screwed up their history...they may be refering to wrestlers who held that belt design...not necessarily that specific title(i.e. WCW, World Champion)....but even though the WWE has worked history into what they want it to be...I STILL think that BELT and that title of World Heavyweight Champion should have more claim to past history of WCW than the belt Eddie now wears because of this reason- Ric Flair wore that belt as NWA champ and the same belt later as WCW champ...so did Goldberg but of course he isn't considered a former NWA champ and shouldn't be because the NWA didn't recognize that belt anymore so the point about Booker and all the rest not being recognized as former World Heavyweight Champions is not really an issue as far as the lineage of the title goes...but when WCW was beaten at SS the WCW belt became the World Title...Rock and Jericho held that title...when Brock refused to defend...they split the championship and redeclared that belt the World Championship again...so it's the same thing...right?

In response to the bigjig Oh so you ARE a fan! My mistake. Well then in that case what is your opinion on the two titles. Has the World Title surpassed the WWE Title in importance? Do you think that the World Title has a longer history than simply being the "fake" belt that was given to HHH? I would really like to know your thoughts rather than talk about how ridiculous wrestling is because that's a whole different topic my friend..and we could argue that all day long.

Maybe as a post-Evolution HHH manager but I just don't see what place she would have in Evolution...and only if we didn't get screechy Stephanie promos with her yelling...honestly it seems as though the WWE has been much better with out the McMahons on screen

So? Why would HHH want to use a belt that has been second rate for the past several years? The IC title was on the level of the European title before it was retired, with a few exceptions like Benoit's reign and his matches with Jericho. Then why are you in this thread,on this website or for that matter why am I responding to this...we are fans and fans discuss things like this...the folks in this thread are having an interesting discussion...we like to "suspend" disbelief every now and again..stop ruining things with your unnecessary negativity...
