I've also got an old computer that'll get slowed down by a few minutes when I'm running a few torrents. I use a little utility called Atomic Clock Sync to keep it right. I know WinXP has something that should do it automatically, but you never know how well something MS designed is going to work. :-\ http://www.download.com/Atomic-Clock-Sync/...4-10316305.html I don't have any other ideas about what would cause the problem, though. Sorry.

SpikeTV's showing 12 episodes of TUF starting Saturday at 9AM ET (probably the entire season back-to-back), leading to the finale at 9PM. Fellow Velocity fans, I think we're being shut out again.

As previously mentioned, the main plot follows a pretty strict formula. I watched 3 or 4 episodes at a time to catch up, and it became obvious fairly quickly. But House the character is great, and more than makes up for the storyline faults. One thing I like is seeing actors who used to be in other Fox shows guest starring, like Leslie Hope and Sarah Clarke from 24, Dominic Purcell from John Doe, and Chi McBride from Boston Public.

Was there anything else different about the replay? And does anyone know if they'll show it again? I only caught the last little bit, and did notice the Hogan speech seemed a fair bit longer. I didn't watch or record it, because I figured it was going to be the same thing as last night.

That's a big kick in the nuts for all 5 of us Canadian B-show fans.

It was Kim and Jeff cuddling. I saw Ashlee on The Early Show, and she looked really good. Much better than on the island.

Here's a good bunch from an older thread: http://forums.thesmartmarks.com/index.php?...ST&f=30&t=54762

It could be the fact that I'm glad to not still be in a hospital bed, but I liked tonight's episode. While Christina's searching for her lighter side, in her mother, she's definitely being increasingly influenced by the devil in her actions and mannerisms. I'm not sure what Adam Busch is doing there yet. It almost seems like Marti got him a filler job after The Jury went down.

Is the RDS version more or less the same as the American one? (ie, in English?) I may be in the position to get RDS soon, as I'm switching from satellite to cable, and there's a little money available for some extra channels. If it's been dubbed in French, even though I can probably understand it, I doubt I'll bother.

I'm still not terribly impressed. There's been some intriguing sinister moments in the past few episodes, but the main premise of the show is still a teen drama that takes itself seriously, and I'm really not a fan of those. Boyd is an interesting character, but with the possible exception of Christina, he's the only one.

A few notes from the Racers' appearance on The Early Show yesterday. Some have already been mentioned. Near the end of the 1st hour, Freddy & Kendra had an interview segment. A series of clips of their "lowlights" was shown, including Kendra's infamous comments about the poverty (in Senegal, I believe), and how the people keep breeding. She said she was heartbroken about how bad the conditions were. Regarding her troubles with the Chicago pizza, she and Freddy said they'd been so used to living on airline food and power bars that it was hard to stomach. She said she thought it was a "trick pizza", because she took three bites, and more or less felt it expand in her stomach. At the start of the 2nd hour, the final 4 teams were outside with the weather guy. He took Adam aside and cut off his hair horns. Later on, the weather guy appeared again, and had put his own hair in horns. All 4 teams were in the studio later, where Phil eventually presented the cheque to Freddy & Kendra. A few updates and notes: - Freddy & Kendra will be married in the spring. - Kris, who used to live in California, moved to Scottsdale, AZ, to be with Jon. - Adam & Rebecca joked that they're now engaged as well. - Hayden & Aaron are still engaged, and were planning to get married in December this year, but Aaron is going to an intensive culinary school, so they're waiting until December '06. - Kris & Jon are the kissiest couple in the show's history, with 3,557 kisses. - The season after next will have 4 family members as teams.

In no particular order, also limiting myself as much as possible to one episode per series... Buffy the Vampire Slayer - The Gift The Simpsons - A Streetcar Named Marge (Homer At The Bat, Homer Defined, Last Exit To Springfield, and any number of other episodes from seasons 2-6, and scattered others could be here.) Angel - A Hole In The World Firefly - Out Of Gas Scrubs - My Screw Up Seinfeld - The Fix-Up (Again, any number of episodes could be here.) Lost - Walkabout (All the Best Cowboys Have Daddy Issues a close 2nd.) My So-Called Life - So-Called Angels 24 - Day 2: 10:00 P.M.-11:00 P.M. (The nuke detonation episode.) The West Wing - Two Cathedrals South Park should be in there, but I couldn't think of one episode I'd put on top. Woodland Critter Christmas would be my choice, but it loses the crazy shock value during repeat viewings.

Favorite TV shows that lasted a season or less
AnonymousBroccoli replied to Youth N Asia's topic in Television & Film
Firefly My So-Called Life - Just recently watched the series, and I really liked it. The Job - Denis Leary's NYPD show, which technically had two seasons, but only 19 episodes between the two of them. Undeclared - By Judd Apatow, also creator of Freaks and Geeks, and The Ben Stiller Show, neither of which I got to see, unfortunately. Greg The Bunny Wonderfalls Andy Richter Controls the Universe - Same boat as The Job length-wise. Had a similar format to Scrubs, and much funnier than Andy's current show, Quintuplets. Push, Nevada - Not a great show, but the concept was interesting. -

Worst WWE PPV you've ever ordered?
AnonymousBroccoli replied to AmazingRen's topic in The WWE Folder
Backlash '03 was bad enough that it caused the switch from ordering every PPV, to actually thinking about whether the show was worth spending money on. I've only ordered 7 out of 23 since. New Year's Revolution was absolutely terrible. The only reasons I wasn't completely disgruntled afterwards were the Chamber match until Batista's elimination, the bit of fun my brother and friends had, and 24 debuting half an hour later. -
Minor DVD news, which was pretty much expected already: http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/newsitem.cfm?NewsID=2797 (Co-Creator Damon) Lindelof said that a DVD set of the first season will come out this summer, before a second season begins in the fall.

I came across an article on TheFutonCritic.com listing the top 50 episodes of 2004. The two-part pilot is #5, and Locke's episode Walkabout #1. http://www.thefutoncritic.com/cgi/gofuton....ant&id=20050121

I wasn't watching too closely, but Suzuki vs. Haas looked pretty bad.

Eugene gets 3rd place for both Best and Worst Gimmick. -
What a lifelike dummy! Romero also says something about "building to a base" a fair bit.

I didn't mind the pilot, but I didn't feel like anything stood out. It's really generic somehow. It seems like what most people probably figure The O.C. is, minus the humour and semi-interesting characters, with a devil child as the big plot.

More good news. The full series of The Job is coming in May. http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/newsitem.cfm?NewsID=2757

http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/newsitem.cfm?NewsID=2730 - Titus http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/newsitem.cfm?NewsID=2748 - Scrubs A couple of my favourite sitcoms are headed to DVD this year. I've known about Scrubs for awhile. Titus, on the other hand, is something I've almost been aching for. It was one of the unfortunate casualties of Fox's comedic glory days from early this decade. (Family Guy, Futurama, Andy Richter Controls the Universe, Undeclared, etc.) It was very funny, with some great stories and characters based upon comedian Christopher Titus' life. With this and the Firefly movie Serenity coming out in September, I should be a happy camper.
