With "Wrong Side of the Tracks", if you ride along too close to the train, Smoke's shots will just hit the train instead of the baddies. So stay as wide as you can without running into stuff. If you do it right, you should be able to finish before you even hit the first tunnel.

There's a preview show on the PPV preview channel here, and what seems to be the entire Sabin vs. Skipper vs. Dutt Ultimate X match from the Best Damn Sports Show Period special is being played.
-
I'm really not interested in anything except Ultimate X, and maybe the 6-man tag. ESPN Classic Canada is showing the "Best of the Heavyweights" show that was aired after the last weekly PPV, and watching their "best" isn't really putting me in a mindset to want to give them any money I might be able to scrounge up. I know that's a dopey excuse, but oh well. My brother's out of town, and may tape it where he's at. If I get a hold of a copy, I'll watch it, since it's wrestling. I thought Victory Road was pretty lousy, but really liked most of Turning Point, so who knows what tonight'll be like.

Cool match, though Romero was reaching almost Don West levels of overselling at times.

1 "Solar Plexus" from that Holly kick to the mid-section.

The return of Scotty 2 Hotty!

Triple H vs. Flair in Greenville, after the great poke to the eye, kick to the nuts, belt shot sequence, the crowd totally bought it as the finish. I can't point to any specific momens, but I remember the Edge vs. Angle PPV matches from spring '02, and Edge vs. Orton at Vengeance having several good near-falls.

The listings are showing VIP and CSI during this block, which I guess means someone else in Canada owns the rights.

The One and Only Angel Season 5 Thread
AnonymousBroccoli replied to Steve J. Rogers's topic in Brandon Truitt
Not Fade Away was on Space tonight, ending my little Angel video taping project that started on my sister's birthday in June. I've now got everything in the TV Whedonverse in some form, except both parts of Bargaining, which'll be on in a week. Having now gone through every episode of a couple of my favourite series, and with all the shit on TV, I feel like I need something new to watch, even if it's not technically "new". I'm watching My So-Called Life on Family Channel, for example, which is really good, but aired under 20 episodes. My sister got the first season of Gilmore Girls for Christmas, which is nice, since the series still exists, and I can watch new episodes for it. 24 started up, and I've begun watching Alias again (partly thanks to Lost) after skipping season 3. I just feel like I want something to replace Angel, which isn't likely to happen, I know. I can always re-watch old episodes, but it's not the same. I'm hoping Marti Noxon's new show, Point Pleasant ends up being good, though I'm sure if it is, it'll be gone by March. When are you watching The Price? As usual, I probably won't be much good for analysis, but I can at least keep up. -
I had a little problem with some of Chloe's dialogue. She's talking with Jack on the phone, trying to stay inconspicuous, but she'll say his name once or twice during most conversations. Otherwise, I really like the season so far. Raw's in the way, and I actually watch it every week, but I've got a satellite and a bunch of Canadian channels, so I should be able to tape every episode, as I've done so far for the series.

Also, GTA coming to the PSP. http://www.gamespot.com/news/2005/01/10/news_6116034.html "However, what got gamers most excited was Rockstar's revelation that it is bringing its überpopular Grand Theft Auto series to the PSP. Rather than being a straight port of a previous installment, the PSP GTA will be a new game set in Liberty City, the backdrop for the revolutionary Grand Theft Auto III." "Rockstar's announcement also revealed that both games (the other being a PSP Midnight Club 3) "are expected to be available near the launch of the PSP handheld system in North America and Europe." According to statements made by Sony Computer Entertainment CEO Ken Kutaragi last week, the US launch of the PSP "will probably be March." Kutaragi also said that Sony "would like to launch in Europe during March as well.""

I think the area you're talking about is some kind of police/military holding area that you're not allowed to go into, similar to the police station parking lots.

I wasn't sure if I'd only heard some ROH announcers referring to the move when Dan Maff (formerly known as Mafia) performed it, if he ever has. But that makes sense. Thanks.

What's the difference between a Yakuza Kick, and a Mafia Kick? I've heard both names when referring to a kick to the head of a running opponent, where it's not quite like Kevin Nash putting the boot up, and the opponent running into it, and not quite a side kick like the Sweet Chin Music, but somewhere in between. It's like a big boot, but the kicker turns to the side a bit and thrusts, probably because he's not tall enough to hit the big hoss version. Long story short, I'm looking for a name of the kick Edge has used a few times lately, including last night on Raw.

I don't know that I have any biases so strong that I'd be unable to recognize if, say, AJ Styles had a bad match, or Heidenreich had a good one. I do love pretty much everything Mick Foley and Paul London do, though.

One thing that slipped me up with the flying was not putting my landing gear up right away. I'd keep stalling before hitting the first checkpoint. Otherwise, get used to the controls enough that you're gradually circling around through the checkpoints, without jerking the plane around too much. It requires really light movements on the stick for the mostpart. Keep the plane tilted slightly in the direction you're going, and adjust with the stick, or the L/R2 buttons to hit the checkpoints. It does take a bit of practice. I spent a long time getting gold on the circling mission, then even longer on the circle and land one.

Oh Velo-city Night, The Stars Were All Elsewhere

There seems to be a lot of spinny belt jealousy around here. This should ease your pain. http://shopzone.wwe.com/product_detail.asp...ductId=13-00232 -
The One and Only Angel Season 5 Thread

This is a good line from Soul Purpose, at the end of the scene where Fred's scooping out Angel's insides during a dream: FRED Huh! ANGEL (nervously) What's wrong? FRED Nothing. I can't seem to find anything wrong with you. I mean... (bends over to look in his chest again) ...except that you're empty. There's nothing left. Just a shell. -
The visual of little Avril Lavigne being flanked by Triple H and Conan at the end of the show was kinda funny.
-
Yep. I don't know of anywhere else that has it. The PWT tracker is back up though.
-
PWTorrents had TP last week. The main site is back, but the tracker is still down, so I don't know if it'll be there anymore.

Google "godlike trombone playing". It's all over the place.

I'm curious how they're going to advance time to the point where the baby becomes consequential at all.

I hate to be Captain Bringdown, but tonight's episode will be the last new one until January 5th, when Alias premieres. The first 6 episodes will be re-played at 8 & 9 for the 3 Wednesdays between now and then.
