Oh, and David Fury's first episode of Lost was excellent, too. -

I know it's been said before, but Forgiving is a badass episode. It's not the highlight by any means, but I loved this line from Angel to Justine. It's just so mean. "I'm not your boyfriend. Find somebody else to smack you around." -

Suprnova has it, but you have to get the whole season, which'll take several days. If you've got broadband, I can send you You're Welcome over AIM (name = AnonymousModoli), and it should only take a couple of hours. -

Gah. I missed the first episode. Though with only 13 to get through, it won't take long to come back around to the start again. The Vision website does have all 13 scheduled. It also has Jewel Staite listed as a guest star for one of them. *grabs an umbrella for impending Rudo joygasm*

I like that the character development seems natural here. There's so many other new series this year where it's pretty much... Main Character #1: "Hey, good job today." Main Character #2: "Thanks." *Holds a picture* MC #1: "So you miss your wife, huh?" MC #2: "Yeah. After that car bomb at the county fair, I didn't know how I'd go on with my life. It's hard, but I've gotta keep going, one day at a time." MC #1: "Good stuff. See you tomorrow." MC #2: *Painful gaze at the picture.* "Yup. Tomorrow." *Fade to black*

CTV's showing Lost instead of Wife Swap this week. My insides are weeping.

The One and Only Angel Season 5 Thread

I've watched AHitW and Shells again recently, and they're both excellent. Watching Shells, then going to bed, somewhat loopy from a flu-induced fever, isn't so fun. I ended up tossing around in bed a fair bit of the night, trying to figure out a way to save Fred, in between bouts of coughing up yellow goo. -

If we're actually voting in here, I'll go with The Gift. I had a bit of a problem with Wes' death scene the first time I saw it. Being conditioned by however many episodes of Anya, Illyria, and others' comedic matter-of-fact delivery took the edge off of a really serious line. Illyria's "This wound is mortal" was so blunt, that I saw it as funny. It took the dramatic edge off of a pivotal scene. -
CTV seems to have picked up Lost in Canada, and they'll be airing the pilot on Saturday as well. I kind of hope they'll switch to widescreen, but since they don't do it for anything else, I'm not holding my breath. I don't know what's going on for future episodes. It's not on the schedule for next week, and they've already got Wife Swap (), Law & Order and CSI: NY on Wednesdays.

Lullaby was just on Space. Really crammed with parental emotion, which hits me pretty strongly somehow. I'm almost glad I didn't watch this stuff very attently the first time around. Makes it feel new. There isn't much else on TV that's grabbing my attention, so it's certainly welcome. -
I would've liked to see a season finale for Firefly, let alone a fifth. Not Fade Away* (5.22) The Gift (5.22)

How would you have killed Kane's child?
AnonymousBroccoli replied to Youth N Asia's topic in The WWE Folder
Simon Dean makes his debut by handing out nutritional supplements to a bunch of the staff backstage. When he comes across Kane, he gives him a special pregnancy package for his darling wife, Lita. Kane gives Lita these supplements, and she takes them for weeks. Unbeknownst to both of them, the supplements are actually harmful to the baby, and results in Lita miscarrying. In his newest infomercial, Simon shows a picture of his greatest success story... Lita! He brags that his products led to Lita losing a whopping 5 pounds... in one day! Lita--hypersensitive about her weight, after being a fat kid--sees things Dean's way, thanks him, and becomes his perky, fitness-obsessed sidekick. Lita gets Christy to stand in for her as far as Kane goes. Kane's none-the-wiser, what with his one burnt eye and all. And they all live happily ever after. The End. -
I downloaded and watched the first episode, and really liked it. The intro was pretty amazing, especially for TV. I got the HDTV version, widescreen and commercial-free. I'm a little worried about its long-term appeal as well. I loved Alias at first, but a few episodes into the third season, I got sick of the too-convenient story twists (see: Vaughn's wife) and gave it up. I'm not sure how long they can go, with this concept, in such a closed environment. I hope J.J. Abrahams can make it work. I'll definitely keep watching for now. It's one of few new series I actually enjoy so far. The others Jack & Bobby, and the first Canadian run of The 4400. The first episode got 18 million viewers, which was best in its timeslot, and almost as good as the debuts of CSI:NY and Law & Order. For Buffyverse fans, David Fury is listed as a writer for the 4th and 9th episodes (the pilot counting as 2).

Easy votes for me again. I haven't seen StB or Salvage in a long time, and I don't think they'd pose much threat to their opposition anyhow. Becoming, Part 2 and The Wish are probably my two favourite episodes from either series. That's pretty much it. Spin the Bottle* (4.06) Hush (4.10) Not Fade Away* (5.22) Becoming, Part 2 (2.22) You’re Welcome* (5.12) The Gift (5.22) Passion (2.17) Salvage* (4.13)

Looking forward to the finale tonight. I read in the paper that the final destination will be here in Canada. Didn't necessarily want to know that, but it'll be cool to see where exactly they head to.

It really sucks to vote against Hush and A Hole in the World, but I guess it has to be done in the later rounds. Bracket A: Spin the Bottle* (4.06) Becoming, Part 1 (2.21) Bracket B: Not Fade Away* (5.22) Becoming, Part 2 (2.22) Bracket C: Innocence, Part 2 (2.14) The Gift (5.22) Bracket D: Passion (2.17) Smile Time* (5.14)

It was only the major shows from this year that got the treatment. Friends, Frasier, and Sex and the City, wasn't it? -
Tajiri's definitely the guy you want to face after having nasal surgery.
